The Space(Detailed descriptions under photos as well) Walk out basement apartment with lots of windows for natural light and a view of the goat pasture. Open floor-plan living room, dining room and kitchen with full size appliances. The oversize chair in the living room has a pull-out twin size bed. Large bedroom with queen size bed, closet, dresser and window. Bathroom with tub/shower, and basic supplies. Extra room with a futon which can be opened to a full size bed.
We do have two dogs who are usually out in the pasture. They are friendly but one of them is also very protective and will probably bark when you come in and out. If you're not comfortable with dogs (and goats!) this may not be the place for you. Guest AccessGuests can park on our driveway and have a private entrance into the apartment. The washer and dryer are in our part of the basement and will be available upon request for weekly and monthly rentals. Interaction with GuestsOne of us will meet you when you arrive. We will be in and out of our house, but in town, so just call or text me if you have questions or need anything. The NeighborhoodTurners Station used to be a big town about a hundred years ago, but now is a quiet small farming community. The nearest post office, gas station, pharmacy, and grocery store are 4 miles away in Campbellsburg. If you want larger stores and more variety, Carrollton 11 miles away has a Kroger, Walmart, Walgreens, and a lot of chain and local restaurants. 18 miles away is La Grange, a much larger town with an adorable old fashioned downtown area (the train still goes by in the middle of main street), and lots of big national retailers. Louisville is about 45 minutes to an hour away, Cincinnati about 1.25 hours. Getting AroundNo local transportation here, you have to drive.
You could drive a bike but it might be dangerous on some of the curves where the local drivers go fast and are not expecting bikes. Other Things to NoteWe will provide a few basics for breakfast when you arrive, but longer rentals will have to provide their own when those run out. We will provide coffee, creamer, some fruit, butter, sugar packets, cooking oil spray, and a few basic spices.
