Spacious sunny two-story three bedroom with chef's kitchen and deeded beach. Moores Bay Beach House abounds with all the charms and thoughtful attention to detail that makes for a wonderful holiday. Custom designed inside and out, this is a beautiful and unique property. There are beachy fun finds - the seafarer's chest is my favorite. Double height ceilings and exposed beams add to the architectural appeal and windows throughout the house, high and low, facing East, West, North and South, provide magnificent light and sun. The bright living room, surrounded by tall windows with water views to the South, has two couches and three relaxing lounge chairs with a soft sisal rug underfoot, an unobtrusive, yet large, HD television with DirectTV, and a comfy bay window seat, looking out toward Peconic Bay (grab a throw blanket, arrange the pillows and settle in!). Also in the living room is a double-sided, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, open on the opposite side to the den, complete with the vintage desk from the old Principal's office and another window seat. The two guest bedrooms on the first floor each have a Queen size bed, large dressers and closets, and share a full windowed bath and an additional half bath, powder room. One bedroom is dressed with coral, white and teal, the other in a nautical mix of blues and white. Each has their own roomy window seat - cuddle up with a good book or journal and enjoy the water views. Take the curved Captain's staircase, salvaged from a ship in Maine, upstairs to the massive Master bedroom suite with its wall of windows facing South to the Bay, West and North. There is a California King bed with white and green accented linens, and an HD television, also with DirectTV, wrapped in tall bookcases brimming with great reads. The bedroom leads to an enormous windowed ensuite bath with double sinks, a soaking tub and a custom designed stone shower with dual shower heads. The large windowed dressing room and walk-in closet include two walls of hanging space, drawers and shelves, with a third wall dedicated to shoe storage. The chef's eat-in kitchen has an industrial stove, stainless steel appliances, a television and is well-stocked with all the supplies a cook could hope for, making entertaining indoors and out a dream. If you have special cooking tools you need please feel free to ask if they are provided. The kitchen island is constructed from barn wood, flamed and burnished to a high gloss finish with red and white stools surrounding it. The separate kitchen dining table is made of zinc and wood and seats 8-10. Outdoors is equally special: the white sand bay beach is deep and wide, great for water sports such as paddle boarding, kayaking and, of course, swimming. It's located right across the street from the house, a short walk three houses down on a quiet country road. There is an estuary to the West making it ideal for undisturbed walks and shell hunting. Back at the house, there is an open sky pergola and brick terrace with outdoor lounge seating, an impressive custom made stone and wood table for 12+ with Mason jar candle holders hanging above, a stainless steel grill and a brick fire pit (great for s'mores!) surrounded by Adirondack chairs. The property is landscaped with an abundance of assiduous trees (and a rope hammock for rocking away an afternoon) and tall seagrass that catches the wind off the Bay and is a favorite haunt of Summer fireflies. Want to play a game of touch football? No problem. Volleyball, badminton? Set up the net! At night the house, pergola and seagrass are up-lit on all sides creating a magical backdrop for the starry sky (have you started those s'mores yet?). DirectTV and Wifi provided. Movies on demand are available. Concierge services, paddle board, kayak, bicycle and boat rentals, boat tours and fridge and pantry stocking are available on request - please contact me for details. We take pride in maintaining our guest house and providing the thoughtfulness one expects in a high-end property. Our Town has instituted a new 14-night minimum reservation requirement for vacation homes. This applies to Cutchogue and all the Villages in Southold. For payments, you may pay online through the website, but Homeaway and VRBO now charge a "service fee" of 4-9% to renters who pay through their sites. If you would like to save this service fee, we accept personal checks to confirm reservations - the service fee is new and quite high, so if you would like a more economical option, we are happy to provide it for you. Come for an idyllic escape on the beautiful North Fork. With its vineyards, your private beach, farm stands galore and wonderful mix of exceptional restaurants it is a very special place to be.
