There are occasional antique auctions and music events at the Kempton Community Center, and train rides at WK&S Railroad and everyday is a good day for a visit to Wanamaker's General Store, where you can step back in time and pick up anything from deli sandwiches to groceries to handcrafted items by local artisans and right next door is a canoe, kayak and wind surfing rental business (Leaser Lake is near by). There are at least three restaurants within ten minutes and we are within 40 minutes of Allentown and Reading.
There is no public transportation in Kempton however buses to and from NYC and Philly are just 25 minutes away in Kutztown, Hamburg and farther afield in Allentown, Bethlehem and Reading. When available we may be able to assist with transportation to and from the AT and Kutztown, just ask us.
