Guest Accesswe love our home and welcome you to join us in our activities or find your own place to relax. The porch and yard are wonderful in summer with fruit trees, flowers and horseshoes on Sunday and chickens all the time. The fireplace is always going in the winter and we like to play games or music with friends. Interaction with GuestsWe are available to our guests as they like. Some want to hang out, others have plans and a focus and little time to visit. All are welcome. The NeighborhoodThis is a wonderful spot of pretty privacy in a super convenient location. Mother nature has created many beautiful creatures some we like and enjoy and other not so enjoyable; incests are part of that and I try my best to keep them at arms length. The SpaceQuiet and restful room with a "private" bath in the hall (unless there are other guests). The house is a mission colonial on a pleasant and private acre at the end of a neighborhood cul-de-sac. Only 6 miles to West Point. The welcoming owners, empty nesters, are happy to help you with activities and directions. Coffee always, continental or full breakfast as life allows. 3 rooms are available in this house and families or groups of friends are welcome-we can easily accomodate 10 or more, Make it your home away from home for West Point events or a weekend in the country. Hot tub, sun room, fireplace. We have 2 small well socialized cats, a rabbit who visits and right now chickens. We may be able to welcome your pets. Let's talk... Guest AccessThe master suite, attic and basement are private, other than that please enjoy the wonderful ammenities and spaces of our home. Treat it as you would like you would your own. Interaction with GuestsWe will welcome you and show you around. We are busy yet like to visit if circumstances allow. We are also respectful of people with a schedule Either is fine. The NeighborhoodI love how we are set so privately with our big yard, flowers and fruit trees, chickens and rabbit and yet only minutes to any convenience. I love our home with its wood floors, big french windows and amazing flow. I love the kitchen that even chefs say "wow" and the sunroom where we sing and play music summer evenings or the living room where we play games by the fire winter evenings. We are clean and comfortable. Life is good!! Getting AroundPublic transportation, train, bus or plane will get you to the area but you will want a car or bike to get around. the local bus is limited. Cabs are not too expensive but will be your main transport if you don't have your own. We will help some as we can but shouldn't be considered the only transport for your visit. You can walk to a whole foods type store, the movies, the post office -they are very close but the road is busy. Other Things to NoteWe do have 2 clean indoor/outdoor cats. We recently got chicks and my Son's rabbit comes and visits with them. I wash with unscented or scented tide and downey softener. We like to do a nice breakfast Sundays. Other days are cereal or yogurt...what's available. Always good Sumatran coffee.

The SpaceThis pretty room has collected treasures from our travels and from our past. You will have a private room with a queen bed and wonderful summer breezes. You can't see the river but the cooling breeze is wonderfully refreshing. We welcome you to enjoy our hot tub, fireplaces, and daily life. Coffee always, other breakfast by chance (pretty good chance usually). Our comfortable family home is now an empty nest. Plenty of parking, very close to Storm King Art Center, New Windsor cantonment and Purple Heart Museum and convenient to West Point events. Guest AccessThe house and property are available to our guests with the exception of our private bedrooms, the attic and basement. You should check with us if you plan to entertain here. Interaction with GuestsWe love to learn about our guests!! People are fascinating-and we are also respectful of those following their own agenda with little time to visit. Sunday mornings are relaxed, other days can be busy yet we've always time to welcome you and get you settled in. The NeighborhoodWe have the perfect setting. A private acre set back yet only minutes to stores, Dia, Storm King art center and West Point. Woodbury Commons is about 20 minutes. Getting Aroundthere is not good public transport in the area and a car is recommended. On occasion we have been able to welcome guests needing transportation but it must be clearly arranged ahead of time. Uber and Lyft have not taken hold in the area but a cab from the airport (swf) should be less than $10.

The SpaceAll carpentry and general installation was done by myself, thus unique. The building has been made to be the most efficient insulation possible. The sun generates electricity to the whole property (main house and detached building) making it, averaging the year, self sufficient in terms of electricity. Extra attention is given to thermal insulation as well. The kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are all independent and private rooms. Guest AccessThe premiss has an independent entrance at the back of the building but, has a few steps to access albeit discrete and completely away from the street and independent from the main house. If you happen to drive an EV, a recharging station is available. Interaction with GuestsI hope that I can help with your stay, in any way. In that context, please inform, in a time-wise manner, if any allergies or dislikes exist and please, do not hesitate to gift me with the approximate arrival (and departure) times. Thank you. The NeighborhoodVery quiet neighborhood and the location of the bed is free from geopathic stress-lines, thus a healthy and unstressed sleep is granted. Getting AroundThe parking is off street and in a reserved, exclusive and marked spot. Only a small itinerary city bus passes nearby. Driving your own car to the premises is still the best way to arrive but, if you'd consider coming upstate by train, airplane or bus, I'll gladly pick you up at the train station (Salisbury Mills/Cornwall if by NJT or Beacon, on the east side of the Hudson River, if by MTA or Poughkeepsie if by AMTRAC); bus (Newburgh bus terminal), Ferry (Newburgh) or Steward International Airport and charge a modest fee if you'll stay only a single night. Bicycles are available (just let me know upfront so I can inflate their tires...) and if you will drive an EV (as I do 100% electric), I'll be more than happy to assist you to make it to New Windsor. Other Things to NoteAll possible food served is organic and in the season, from the own garden. The bread is also self home-baked, exclusively with organic ingredients and will be served the evening of your arrival. During winter time, a wood-fired brick oven is used to bake and some are then frozen for future use. Please anticipate any relevant information about food allergies or whatever you can't tolerate. I'd like to resonate with your needs/desires. Thank you.

The SpaceAll carpentry and general installation was done by myself, thus unique. The house, which is also my residence, albeit built in the 50s, has been retrofitted to be as much green as possible. It has the domestic hot water heated by a solar system and the sun also generates electricity to the whole house making it, averaging the year, self sufficient in terms of electricity. Extra attention has been given to thermal insulation as well. The bedroom and bathroom are independent rooms separated from the kitchen/living room which, btw, for insurance reasons, is not supplied with utensils to cook; just to prepare or warm up quick and simple meals in the small convection oven or microwave besides to be used for the breakfast. A refrigerator is part of the kitchen's appliances besides the coffee grinder and percolator. There are organic coffee ground/beans to be ground at your will and taste as well as all the goodies in the refrigerator. Guest AccessThe premise has an independent entrance at the back of the main house but, has a few steps to access. The Queendom, albeit part of the house, is a completely independent unit from the house. If you drive an EV (100% electric, as I do), a reminder that a recharging station type 2 is available with no extra costs. Interaction with GuestsI hope that I can please with your stay, in any way. In that context, please inform, in a time-wise manner, if any allergies or dislikes exist and please, do not hesitate to gift me with the approximate arrival (and departure) times. Thank you! The NeighborhoodWith a quiet neighborhood and the bed's location in a free from geopathic stress-lines, a healthy and unstressed sleep is a strong part of a real relaxed stay at the Queendom. Getting AroundThe parking is off street. Only a small itinerary city bus passes nearby. Driving to and around the premises with a car is still the best way to go but, if you'd consider coming upstate by train, airplane or bus, I'll gladly pick you up at the train station (Salisbury Mills/Cornwall if by NJT or Beacon, on the east side of the Hudson River, if by MTA or Poughkeepsie if by AMTRAC); bus (Newburgh bus terminal), Ferry (Newburgh) or Steward International Airport and charge a modest fee of U$ 15.00 if you'll stay only a single night. Bicycles are available (just let me know upfront so I can inflate their tires...). If you drive an EV, a recharging station is available for you. I'll be happy to assist you to make your battery make it back! Other Things to NoteAll possible food served is organic and if in season, from the own garden. The bread is also self home-baked with exclusively organic ingredients (whole grain & stone ground) and will be served at mutual convenience in the morning, after your arrival. During winter time, a wood-fired brick oven is used to bake and some are then frozen for future use. I normally bake whole wheat multi-grain, roasted garlic or simply italian style bread; please manifest your preference after making the reservation so I can be prepared to match your taste. Thank you. Please anticipate any relevant information about food allergies or whatever you can't tolerate. I'd like to resonate with your needs/desires. Thank you. Again, the independent entrance of the space is in the back of the house, just across the greenhouse and the steps to access it are between the detached garage and the house. Thank you.
