The SpaceThe space is just so relaxing with the evergreen trees . We designed this space for entertaining our friends and now offer it to guests. A sliding barn door separate the downstairs space from our home upstairs. We do live here so you will hear us or the dogs walking about although we have taken every step to make it as soundproof as possible. There are private outdoor entrances into the dining area/media room and into the bedroom from the hot tub. Guests are greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolates, fresh flowers, and fruit. We have Wifi, cable TV and free tasting passes to select wineries.
SLEEPING AND PERSONAL PREPPING:
The bedroom is filled with tons of natural light and is furnished with a desk, books, a firm queen sized mattress, topped with a down comforter, cotton sheets and a choice of pillows. The bathroom is equipped with a steam shower and radiant heat floors. Luxury robes and scented slippers are provided. In the closet you will find a clothes steamer. Any toiletries one may need are complimentary.

A pergola covered area with dining for 6 -- you will feel like you are in Tuscany. A fire pit and a lounge area both provide seating for 4. When the weather is right, the outdoors cannot be beat. The hot tub is just outside your bedroom door, so you can wrap yourself in a luxurious robe and slippers grab a beach towel and a glass of wine then head to the hot tub and leisurely plan your stay. Towel pegs are on the post next to the hot tub and on the wall opposite the hot tub. Or, cozy up with a book under the pergola and listen to the humming birds. Our two very large dogs live upstairs and are not allowed in the apt. The yard is not accessible to the dogs. If you are in the yard and like dogs, please, give them a hello pat at the fence - they adore people! If not they will not bother you. You will hear them bark when you drive up and sometimes they back at wildlife. Rest assured they cannot gain access to the space. They are incredibly sweet and LOVE people. Both shelter dogs they are mixed breeds. Photos of both dogs are provided on this site. The NeighborhoodNewberg is a lovely town with wonderful, friendly people. Our wineries cannot be matched. We have so much to offer -- A drive-in movie theater, live theater, live music (Tunes on Tuesday in July/Aug), great food and incredible natural beauty, wonderful leisurely walks and hiking along with storefronts and boutiques offering local goods So much awaits you!
If you weren't able to get to all the wineries during your trip be sure to see Andrew at Valley Wine Merchants on S College. He sells over 200 local Pinots: Redman Winery, Prive, Domaine Roy, Serene and Drouhin, Adelsheim, Penner Ash, Anne Aimee, Alexana, Coleen Clemens, Winderlea,
Domaine Roy, Black Walnut Inn and Winery, White Rose, Domaine Drouhin, Durant and Red Ridge Farms all in Dundee or Dayton have views that will take your breath away. Pop into Alloro or make an appt with Blakeslee both atop Chehalem Mountain -- you will feel like you are sitting in Italy.
OTHER THINGS OF INTEREST:

For gorgeous biodynamic wines check out Brick House! Their Gamay Noir and Pinots are unbeatable (appt only). Ayers is nearby as is Redman Winery (see our friend Cathy Redman!) Trisaetum where you will get an Art Gallery and fabulous wine all in one stop. To feel like you are in France make an appointment with Prive and talk with winemaker and good friend Tina Hammond! We offer free tasting passes to several of the tasting rooms.

If you want a guide to lead you through our lovely community we can assist you in creating an experience that other travelers might miss. I can help you plan your itinerary, and personalize a most pleasurable experience by making sure you meet local wine makers/merchants, restaurant owners and shopkeepers. Getting AroundAs we are located atop Chehalem Mountain a car is a necessity. Don't forget to stop and have a look at the Valley on your way in or out of Brooks Lane. Highway 219 is curvy but completely safe for driving, even during winter months and leads right into Newberg. Other Things to NoteDRIVER:

Please, if you see them in the guest yard, A) something is amiss, so let us know and B) don't allow them into the apt. Although Eddie will tell you otherwise.
