The SpaceTorryburn House is a Georgian and mid Victorian former manse (vicarage). It sits in its own, secluded walled garden on the edge of the village of Torryburn five miles west of Dunfermline. We have two dogs, a Labrador (Katie) and a Jack Russell (Mr Finn) but who neither live nor share the guests space. Both enjoy meeting guests, provided guests would like to meet them. The house has a warm and homely atmosphere and is furnished with antiques throughout. We offer a traditional bed&breakfast with two bedrooms, one double bedroom with bathroom and one twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The guest bedrooms are located on their own floor and the guests have also the use of the drawing room, which is on the same floor as the guest bedrooms. In addition to that guests may also use the library on the ground floor for drinks, reading a book, relaxing or watching the television. Breakfast is served in the dining room and we will prepare either a full cooked Scottish breakfast (a £3 surcharge per person applies) or full, continental breakfast (cost is included in the price). Orders will always be taken the night before. A 3-course Dinner is also available and charged separately (£25.00 per person); reservations should be made prior to arrival. We also offer facilities for corporate events and conferences for up to 12 participants (e.g. strategic meetings, conferences, business breakfasts, luncheons or dinners) Please send an enquiry, regarding rates and more information. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use the drawing room and library to relax, read a book, have a drink or watch television (TV only in the library). Please note the kitchen is a working kitchen, I organize private dinner parties, business luncheons and business breakfasts from there and it's for that reason that I do not offer it as part of the guests space. However, drinks and perishables maybe stored in the fridge. Interaction with GuestsWe enjoy having guests to stay and we are here to make your stay as relaxing, comfortable and memorable as possible. We are only too happy to help in what ever way we can. Although, we run a more traditional bed & breakfast, we enjoy the interaction with our guests and meeting new people and hope that our guests look upon our home as a home from home.
