Family Home near Pittwater and beaches. Our family lives in Mona Vale on the Northern Beaches. We are across from the water at Pittwater and within 5 minutes of many beautiful beaches. We can walk to the shops and 2 minute walk to the famous "Flying Fox" park where there are BBQ's, beach and lots of open space to play. We have lots of sporting equipment as we love the outdoors. Our street is very quiet and leafy with lots of fabulous native trees. Our home is very happy with 3 bedrooms and 2 lounges and 2 bathrooms. We have a BBQ and courtyard and a huge back garden. We have 2 fantastic boys who look forward to visitors. We have no pets.

The SpaceEveryone who stays here wants to stay longer. Its peaceful, natural yet close to everything. Guest AccessThe whole floor of the house is yours including the pool (in summer only). There are about 30 steps up to the house so you are above the street. Interaction with GuestsWe live upstairs and have our own access from the back of the house. If we are around, we are available for information or a chat but will not interact unless requested. The NeighborhoodIt is a very quiet cul de sac road so it's a peaceful, safe neighbourhood. Getting Around5 minutes walk to bus stop to downtown or Manly ferry. Other Things to NoteSydney's northern beaches have many great cafes, restaurants, and beautiful nature walks.

Then Turtle Run is the retreat for you. This is a sanctuary that truly embraces the layback lifestyle of the northern beaches of Sydney. This waterfront 3 bedroom, 2 level cottage is nestled in the hillside forest at the edge of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park overlooking Pittwater Harbour at Church Point, McCarr’s Creek in northern Sydney. Yet incredibly, it is situated only 40 minutes from Sydney’s CBD and 15 minutes from the best beaches in the world. The area has survived the onslaught of development with many surrounding home owners retaining the original 1950’s holiday shack charm. Turtle Run is no exception. We'll even supply the white board and markers ! We've hosted executives from ABC TV as well as private software companies. Several options are available for your rental. Self catered -Bed and Breakfast in the Director’s Studio. This ground level suite sleeps 2 people (queen bed) and features an ensuite including a bath. It also has a kitchenette and flat screen TV and espresso machine. Available for a minimum 2 night stay. The Production Suite. This upper level of the cottage has 2 bedrooms both with queen beds. There is one bathroom to share and beautiful open spaces inside and on the large deck for dining and relaxing. The NeighborhoodYou will be impressed with the open plan living area and a large court yard - part covered, part uncovered. Located in a quiet tree lined street opposite a waterfront reserve with direct access to Pittwater waterway with a boat ramp around the corner. The property is less than 2 minutes walk to The Flying Fox Park full of amenities for children and a great cafe with well priced food. Flying fox park is on the waterfront and offers free council BBQ facilities undercover so a great place to take a picnic with the family or friends. The boathouse is minutes away from the centre of Mona Vale and no more than a 15 minute walk to Mona Vale main beach which has arguably one of the best rock swimming pools in Sydney as well as great surf if you like to get the board out. Within minutes visit various fabulous restaurants, cafes and shopping boutiques. In addition the infamous Newport Arms as well the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club and Royal Motor Yacht Club with its restaurant/cafe and pool are close by, the Royal Motor has a courtesy bus that will pick you up and drop you off at the front door (how good is that) you may visit as a guest if you do not live in the area. The property is within walking distance to Bayview golf course or just a 5 minute drive to Mona Vale golf course which are both public courses and have great dining facilities and bars. The accommodation is surrounded by tropical gardens. The sublime water views from the reserve looking North up Pittwater and Scotland Island makes this the ideal place to relax and unwind regardless if you are locals interstate or from overseas. We offer longer term accommodation for individuals, couples or families looking to relocate or renovate/build for periods from one month or more based on terms of agreement. The apartment has plenty of space for 2 couples or a family. Getting AroundLocal buses will take you to Manly or the city in around 45 minutes. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop 150m at the bottom of the road where Bakers Road meets Pittwater road. Bus will go straight into the city via the northern beaches. There are no trains nearby. Other Things to NoteParking is on street. The street is a cul-de-sac and is safe. The room is not suitable for long stays which will require laundry and cooking facilities. There is a microwave to warm up take-aways etc, and there will be milk, cereal and some fruit to get you going in the morning. Other than this, no catering is supplied. There are 2 restaurants and a cafe/store a 10 min walk away. If required there is an insect repellant (mozzie) machine in the TV cabinet. This should not be necessary! A lighter to light candles with is in the cutlery drawer below the microwave.

The SpaceOn the huge upper level is a large, light and airy, modern open living area, including a lounge with a gas open-fireplace, dining and kitchen areas, all opening out onto beautiful all round verandas at the front, and timber decks at the back. The unique timber and stainless-steel kitchen, which boasts all European appliances and contains all you will need to cook up a storm, has access onto the lower deck where there is a built-in BBQ. A spilt level eclectic sunroom with two full sides of bi-fold doors, flows out onto the second and largest entertaining deck where you will also find an tranquil garden, a cubby house and swing, and an outside, shaded dining area. Progressing up a few stairs, and surrounded by manicured hedges and beautiful tropical gardens is the private in-ground pool. Relax all day on sun-lounges by the pool and enjoy the sea-breeze and Pittwater views! On the other side of the living area, past the laundry, where you will have use of a large washing machine and dryer, is the bedroom wing. This contains 3 light and airy double bedrooms, beautifully furnished, each with a queen sized bed and fan, and the main bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The stylish main bathroom, with it's claw- foot bath and shower, is located close to the other two bedrooms. Downstairs is a separate bedroom with its own entrance and front veranda. Containing a queen sized bed, its own lounge/TV area, a bathroom and kitchenette space, it provides a little more privacy from the rest of the house if needed. All areas are clean, modern, neat and furnished with the aim of complete relaxation in mind. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire home and the entire surrounds of the home including the front and back gardens, decks and pool area. There is parking available for 2 cars with close access to the front door.(The garage will be locked for owner use.) The NeighborhoodNewport is a relaxed, trendy beachside village located on the famous and stunning Northern Beaches of Sydney. Ideally located between the ocean and the closed waters of Pittwater visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities including swimming, sailing, surfing, paddling, fishing and walking on the many established beach and bush tracks. Newport has a laidback friendly vibe, interesting and reasonable eateries and boutiques, and a very famous watering hole-The Newport Arms. Here you can enjoy the largest and most picturesque beer garden in Sydney and watch the sun set over the sparkling waterways. Getting AroundNewport Beach, Newport shops and a wide selection of restaurants are a quick 5-10 minute walk to the end of the street, while the famous Newport Arms is located 5 minutes away and can be reached by walking around the waterfront. I would highly recommend renting a car if you do not have one, to allow you to fully explore the beautiful areas surrounding Pittwater and the beaches. Public transport to the Sydney city area is available from bus stops close to our home with the journey taking about 45minutes.
