The SpaceThe apartment is spacious and brand new. Packed with amenities and on the 24th floor, so more light enters than apartments on lower floors. There are two balconies, one with plants (including fresh herbs), garden furniture and a BBQ. There are two bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom; both with king size beds. There are two bathrooms, both with showers; one with a power shower. The kitchen is well-equipped and well-stocked with spices, condiments and various grains. There are two TVs, one in the living room area, one in the main bedroom (this is internet TV with tonnes of TV series and films available for free), and wifi. The apartment is full of candles and some plants, and there is a peaceful yoga room also at your disposal, should you wish to do yoga or light exercise. Plenty of space in the open living room area for gatherings(URL HIDDEN) Guest AccessYou will have access to all amenities, these include: water dispensers (hot and cold water), air conditioners (one in the living room, main bedroom and yoga room), a large fan (in the second bedroom), all dried foods (rice, legumes and other grains) and spices. Internet and wifi available, and also internet TV (both in the living room area and the main bedroom). There are security guards, almost one per apartment block, so it's very friendly and safe. There is a side gate, as you come out of the apartment on your first left, the key card can be used to exit and enter from this gate, it's a little quicker than going from the main entrance. There are two elevators to the 24th floor, and the block's entrance requires a swipe card to enter. There is also an intercom with camera for when people buzz in. Interaction with GuestsIf I am away, I am not able to interact with guests face-to-face, but I leave a folder with information that guests need to know to make their stay a pleasant, more convenient one (with information on operating the internet TV, wifi codes, bus numbers etc.) I will most probably be away, and if I am, I will leave a friend's contact details (who also lives in the same apartment complex) for you, in case of emergencies! The NeighborhoodYinzhou is the greenest, cleanest part of Ningbo. It's well-connected with bus routes and taxis to the city centre (Tianyi Square), and the nearby nightlife centre (Laowaitan), a beautiful scenic area called Moon Lake (Yue Hu), which all take around 20-25 minutes to get there. Within walking distance (between 10-15 minutes), there is also the Central Business District (Shanshan Plaza), which is quiet but full of places to eat and drink and has a very beautiful park next to it, The University of Nottingham and Sunday Plaza, a small area for eating and drinking, where the locals go. Taxis to the city centre and other areas nearby like Incity and Wanda Plaza are easy to catch from the main road and very inexpensive (between 10-30 RMB), and also buses are easy to catch from the main road at only 2 RMB per journey. There is also a famous little museum near Shanshan Plaza and a huge green park opposite Sunday Plaza. I will provide you with a free taxi book, with everything you can think of Ningbo, listed in both Chinese and English. If in doubt, simply point to a listing in the taxi book and ask the driver to take you there! Getting AroundAs mentioned previously, taxis are very cheap and pass by regularly (simply look for those with the green light turned on!), they are infrequent between 4pm - 6pm however, it's the time most taxi drivers take their break and they'll only pick you up if they are going that way (give it a go to flag down a taxi with the orange light though, they may still stop if it's convenient for them so try your luck!). Buses pass frequently outside the apartment complex, to get to the most popular areas, like Wanda Plaza, Incity (great for shopping and food!) and the city centre highlights (Laowaitan, Tianyi and Moon Lake). There is a metro line, but it's just been built and only runs through a little area of the city centre, so I wouldn't recommend bothering for the time being (give it another year or so to expand!) Other Things to NoteA healthy breakfast is included, with all ingredients laid out clearly in the kitchen. Options include: oats, millet (a Chinese grain, prepared traditionally like oatmeal), dried fruits, nuts, a range of seeds, honey, maple syrup, coffee (both decaffeinated and regular), a range of teas.
