Expressway directly North into the city in 30-40mins away. Freeway south to the McLaren Vale wine region in 10-15mins away. Interaction with GuestsWe will be home when you stay so are happy to help with any queries, directions etc The NeighborhoodMcLaren Vale is a world-renowned wine region, but also gateway to the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula with its glorious rolling hills, small towns, beaches and pretty coastline… Victor Harbour (3/4 hour south of us) a great place for whale watching in winter, and some great surf beaches at Waitpinga & Middleton. Getting AroundWe are not close to public transport and you'd really need a car to stay here… we have 2 bicycles which could be borrowed for local rides… fantastic cycling through the whole area.

    Beautiful four bedroom home, situated in a very peacefull and quiet location. Opposite a large natural reserve with a winter creek. Nice quiet morning walks with the odd kookaburra or two. Take a two minute walk to the Thaxted Golf Coarse. Play 18 holes or just visit the clubrooms. Local super deli at the end of the street with takeaway food and a bus stop to the shopping centre just 2 km down the road. Two Major shopping centre's only a 15 min drive either way. South coast beaches with excellent boating facilities and beautifull sandy shores just 10 min drive or so. Local wineries begin 10 -15 min drive in the Mclaren Vale region. We are at the begining of the foot hills which is the gate - way to many small and interesting country towns. Jardin Cottage Facilities A beautifull fully furnished house with a touch of french country. Very well appointed kitchen with dishwasher and stainless steel smeg appliances. Side by side fridge/freezer with filtered water and ice and microwave. Family / dining 6 setting table with sofa by the combustion heater and a large tv with cd player. Lounge room has a large setting which retracts as a sofa double if required. Large 50" tv with dvd player. Very relaxing private room. Main bedroom consists of queen size four poster bed and a small tv nitch, walk in robe and a large well appointed ensuite with a double shower. Second double bedroom has a queen size bed with built in robes. Bedroom three has a single bed with trundle below if required and a buit in robe. Bedroom four has a single bed with a trundle below if required and bed side table. Main bathroom is fully equipped with bath and seperate shower and toilet. Sepertate toilet room with hand basin.     The SpaceThe cottage is a simple, open plan house with lots of windows & light. There is plenty of outside space where you can sit and enjoy the views over the vineyard in peace and privacy. Guest AccessTintookie Vineyards is a beautiful 40 acre property, set on a gentle slope and looking down the coast over Sellicks to Rapid Heads. It has an abundance of trees, bird life, kangaroos and the odd koala. You are welcome to wander around the property, enjoying the many different views. We have a curly coat retriever who will probably greet you on arrival with a bark and wag of her tail. We also have 3 friendly goats, one who is hand milked daily. Interaction with GuestsWe live on the property about 100m from the cottage and are happy to answer questions. We are not always available in person but almost always available on the phone. The NeighborhoodWe are a very short drive from some great restaurants. The Currant Shed is a favourite. Woodstock is also really good. Our new favourite pizza place is Pizza Techa. Coffee from Dawn Patrol on a Sunday morning is a must. There are many more if you want to drive 10 minutes rather than 5 and an abundance of great local wineries, practically on the doorstep. Getting AroundYou will need a car to get around or be happy to ride on slopes. McLaren Vale is about 12 kms away. Other Things to NoteWe are 10 minutes drive from the shops so although I have a few extra bits and pieces in the pantry, just be aware that you may not want to leave this fabulous setting. There is everything you should need in the kitchen, with plenty of utensils and a large BBQ outside.
