I don't smoke but I know some people do. You are welcome to smoke anywhere outside including on the deck. The NeighborhoodMy house is in the rural farming part of Concord and located on a quiet cul de sac all of which abuts conservation land. There are miles of conservation trails suitable for hiking, jogging or dirt biking within walking distance.
The only noise you will likely hear at night is the resident barred owl or, in March, April and May the chorus of spring peepers. Thoreau has written about his walks in this area and Walden Pond is just down the road.
Within a few minutes drive there is a pizzeria (that also delivers), a neighborhood bar and restaurant, liquor store, Dunkin' Donuts, convenience store and gas station along with the Verrill Farm Stand - a noted attraction throughout the greater Boston area for its home-grown produce, home-made pastries and ready-to-eat take-out meals. Getting AroundIt's an eight minute drive to Concord center and all is attractions and the Minuteman National Historical Park. Walden Pond is just down the road. The commuter rail station into Boston is five minutes away. There is free parking at the super market near the train station. For a schedule and all stops go to (URL HIDDEN) and click on "Fitchburg." That will bring up the full schedule - you want the Concord station (not West Concord).
Approximate Driving Times Without Heavy Traffic: Cambridge 25 minutes, Boston a half hour and Logan Airport 40 minutes. We also have Uber which is about $35 to get to Boston and $50 to the airport. Local rides cost about $10.00.
You are within a 10-minute drive to Wayland, Lincoln, Acton and Maynard and 20 minutes away from Stow, Carlisle, Westford, Littleton, Bedford, Harvard (town of), Waltham and Lexington. Arlington, Bolton, Marlborough, Berlin, Natick, Framingham and Wellesley are about a 30-minute drive; Worcester and Lowell 40 minutes. Other Things to NoteI am "family friendly" but only for older children. There is an excellent dog boarding facility 10 minutes away (Palmer Kennels)
Concord has very strict guidelines for operating a guest house. I have a current Certificate of Occupancy so you may stay here with the confidence that this listing has been inspected by the Town and has met all safety requirements.
My house is an original Deck House (contemporary) with the signature cathedral ceilings and large glass windows. You will be parking in my private driveway off the street. There is room for several cars.
