The SpaceSpread out over 1500 sq ft of living space -- a large studio styled loft bedroom with all linens (futon sofa - sleeps 2, six twin beds; we also have a rollaway cot), a spacious den stocked with board games, an awesome dining room with a view of the landscape, and a kitchenette with microwave only (no stove, no oven). By kitchenette, we do mean kitchenette. The same amenities you would find in a hotel kitchenette, except full sized: refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot for tea and coffee, counter space, and storage. There is no oven/stove in the kitchenette. The kitchenette does also have an electric griddle, a toaster, dishware, and paper goods. This is a two family home. We live on one side of the property. A stay here means that you share walls with our family. Once you enter the main entrance, the entrance to your private living area is directly in front of you. The entrance to our family's area is to the left. We are happy to be as present or as invisible as you'd like during your stay. Guest AccessIn addition to over 1500 sq ft of living space and a rolling landscape to picnic on. We have a 700 sq ft yurt on the property. If the yurt is not in use, you have the option to schedule a private evening restorative yoga class at an additional cost or set aside some time for meditation. Access to the yurt must be prearranged and is not guaranteed. You have access to the outdoor fire pit; great for roasting marshmallows or hotdogs (wood is provided). You may bring your own smoky joe type grill as well for preparing a larger variety of foods like hamburgers, steaks, fish, etc. Interaction with GuestsWe live on the property and will be happy to help make your stay relaxed and enjoyable or be "invisible" so that you can enjoy your time away. The NeighborhoodVisit our Diamond Hill Vineyard (just 8 minutes from the property); Phantom Farms for homemade local fudge, fresh baked goods, coffee, sandwiches and more (across the street from the vineyard); bring your own bike and head down to the Blackstone River and enjoy some kayaking, a long walk or more biking on the path; or drive over to Lincoln Woods State Park for a dip in the lake, try paddleboarding, canoeing or horseback riding. For basic needs, a pharmacy, a large grocery store and a Target are just five minutes from the property. In that same plaza, there is also a movie theatre, a bowling alley/arcade, a burger joint and a Starbucks. Getting AroundWe do recommend that you have your own car. You will have designated parking on the property. While you are here, it feels as though you are in an oasis on your own, yet our property is ideally located just 5 minutes from our major highways; a 15 minute drive from Providence and just 60 minutes from Boston. Other Things to NoteThere are two indoor cats that reside on the owners' side of the property. The rental side of the property is a cat free zone. No pets allowed.

The SpaceThis cotton mill built 1830, is 3500 sq feet not including the above ground basement which housed the waterworks. It has it's original hardwood floors and beams; I have just moved back after renting in Boston, and am in the process of updating and renovating the space. The listed rooms and main spaces are very finished and comfortable. I have pulled some bannisters off of the front and back staircases, so it is not suitable for young children at the moment. Guest AccessGuests have access to the main floor, bath and kitchen, as well as the outdoor area and back deck. Interaction with GuestsI am around but often busy and out of the house. Sometimes I will be on travel. The space is large and there are many areas to relax and enjoy the quiet scenery. Parking is ample. I can give you suggestions for the notable eateries you can find locally. This is my home and I have taken great care to make it a beautiful environment. Please be respectful. The NeighborhoodWe are within minutes of the Wrentham Outlets (2.5 miles), Gillette Stadium Patriots Place in Foxboro is 12 minutes away (7 miles), and Providence and the campuses of RISD and Brown, are 20/25 minutes away. The drive into Boston is 45 minutes without traffic. Getting AroundThere is limited bus service and unlimited Uber. We are within 15 mins to the commuter rails at Franklin and Attleboro. It is a short walk to Jeff Kinney's new independent bookstore which is an ode to his Diary of a Wimpy Kid stories. Hiking can be found at nearby Wrentham State Park, and the Blue Hills Reservation is 25 minutes driving. In the summer, there is a little lake beach in North Attleboro that you can walk to and swim in. Other Things to NoteMy home is unique, not perfect - if state-of-the-art bathrooms and kitchens are important to you, it's not there yet. If you are looking for charm, depth, and a warm, one-of-a-kind home that reflects an artist's touch, you've found it, and welcome!

Enjoy a rustic, scenic, artistic retreat within commute of Boston and just a hop into Providence! You will be staying at an old cotton mill built in 1830, which sits on a pond and is abutted by a river and a waterfall, on over an acre.
