The clear shallow lagoons, reefs and small islands of Marmion Marine Park provide habitats for seabirds, marine mammals and other remarkably diverse marine life. The reefs are a diver's paradise, forming ledges, caves and swimthroughs. They are inhabited by a wonderful array of fish species and colourful invertebrates. - A short stroll (in the other direction) to Trigg Bushland Reserves possessing native flora and fauna entwined with heritage walking/cycling trails. - Walking distance to a choice of Beachside cafes, restaurants and a choice of public open spaces for picnics or fish & chips at sunset. - Located close to an excellent public golf course (1km) makes life so easy. The SpaceYou will love your stay in our 1 bedroom Self Contained Accommodation (Granny Flat) in North Beach (Please note breakfast is not provided). It sleeps 2 - 3 Adult guests or 2 adults and 2 children. There is a double bed in the bedroom and a fold out queen size sofa bed in lounge area. It has its own bathroom and separate toilet. The lounge area has a Stereo, TV and DVD , fan for cooling and electric heater , whilst the kitchen has a fridge, microwave and stove top with a separate electric oven/grill. The accommodation is located separately on the ground floor. There are no steps or stairs. You will love to sit out in the secured outdoor courtyard with your morning coffee. There is seating for 8 people and you are free to entertain. There is a bbq available on request and a sand pit and toys for children to play with. Great location with a bakery and restaurants next door and other shops within a short walk. All linen provided, bath towels replaced every 3 days, linen after 7 days. Iron and hairdryer is provided Guest AccessGuests have access via their own private courtyard , parking is available in car park next door to unit or street parking opposite unit. In the event that we are not home when you arrive there is a locked code box on the gate to the right of the driveway. A code will be sent to you prior to arrival the keys in this box unlock the gate and door to the unit There is also a latch to the back top left of the gate which you may have to open. As soon as I get home I will come and see you to explain the ins and outs of the unit. Interaction with GuestsThe accommodation is separate to our families living areas, but we are more than happy to have a chat to you about things to do and provide advice and suggestions. There is limited noise heard between the two areas but we ask that music be keep down to a minimum. The NeighborhoodYou will love the North Beach area, it is a quiet beachside suburb approx. 11 km from the city centre, it has lots of small cafes, restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is a lovely safe swimming beach that is suitable for surfing, snorkelling and fishing. It is part of a marine reserve only 100m from the unit . There is a lovely walking path along the coast and Golf Courses within a few kms. Getting AroundA bus stop is located directly outside your front door. The bus will take you to a major shopping precinct and on to the train station where you can catch a train to the city. If you have a car there is plenty of parking and easy access to a major freeway. A taxi from the airport costs approx. $60 one way. We offer a pickup/drop off service for $50 one way subject to availability. Other Things to NotePlease note this is not a serviced apartment, cleaning products are provided. The SpaceWe warmly welcome you to "The Beach House". A light and bright open plan cottage features a kitchenette, bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet, reverse cycle air-conditioning, 1 queen bed, wardrobes, TV and outdoor garden area. We provide you with fresh towels and linen as well as tea and coffee. The kitchenette is equipped with cutlery, plates etc., kettle, toaster, microwave and a fridge. Please be aware that there is no cooker/stove. However there are plenty of restaurants and cafe’s nearby! The cottage is in a great location in an elevated spot at the rear of the main house, with its own access it is nice and private and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Off road parking is available. There is a fantastic safe swimming and snorkeling pool at the bottom of the road (Mettams Pool) and you can also walk to great surfing at Trigg Beach. We have masks/snorkels and body boards here that you can use - just ask. Scarborough Beach is approx 2kms south along the coast, where there are some great restaurants and bars. Hillarys Boat Harbour is 5kms north along the coast and here there are also plenty of shops, restaurants and cafe’s, a waterslide and amusement park and AQWA Underwater World. There are also some lovely local restaurants and handy shops within walking distance of the cottage. We will provide you with information about all of these in a folder when you arrive. To get to Perth City (16kms approx 30mins by public transport or 15mins by car): You can catch the bus no. 423 at the corner of Lynn and Kitchener Street (2min walk) to Stirling Train Station then catch the train to Perth - 3 stops and you’re there! Once in Perth there are loads of attractions to visit the best way to discover all of these is to pay a visit to the WA Visitor Centre at 55 William Street, Perth. To get to Fremantle (24kms): The best way to get to Fremantle from the cottage is via the sunset coast drive by car or by public transport it is the same route as to Perth City and then change trains to Fremantle. The house is 100m from beach with fantastic view from living room and outdoor area. It is located in one of Perth's prime locations and offers a fantastic, safe neighbourhood. It is perfect for first time travellers to Perth or those returning to the city. We are caring hosts and have had many people in the past stay with us including overseas friends and students. They have all had a great time!! As a guest, you have a closed off section of the house that is to be used by yourself and no one else. There are shops/cafes within close walking distance. Public transport is available on our street about 500m away. This place is special as it is not just a room. You are paying for an experience that you will not find anywhere else. Perth is famous for it's sunsets and you can see this from your window! The kitchenette has a fridge, kettle and toaster with all cutlery and crockery supplied with tea, coffee and milk. Please let me know if you need provisions and I pre purchase for you (extra costs) I am also happy to provide meals also at an extra cost... I am a superb cook You also have your own private entry and a patio for a coffee or a glass... The beach is 50 feet away and you will be spoilt for choice for where to go for breakfast lunch and dinner...all walking distance. Also we have Maine Coon CAT called Frank so if you are allergic to Cats my wonderful place would not be suitable for you. Mettams Pool - the well known natural seawater swimming pool and the marine reserve behind the reef is the closest coastal point. An easy walk will get surfers to Trigg Beach or ride the waves on the nearby reefs. Beachside cafes/restaurants for casual coffee to fine dining are within easy walking distance. About 250 m from the house is a lovely bushland reserve for walks or runs and another larger reserve is a little further on which is great for walks or bike rides. Close by (less than 1km) is an excellent public golf course, expansive grass ovals, kids play areas, bowling greens and tennis courts. A 5 minute drive will bring you to Hillarys Marina/Sorrento Quay - catch a ferry to idyllic Rottnest Island, or visit the amazing underwater aquarium at AQWA.         Sunset Studio has great views, so close to the coast that you can smell and hear the ocean. It is only a short walk to the well-known Mettam's Pool, where you can swim and snorkel without fear of sharks! It is an easy walk to popular restaurants and cafes and a short drive to Perth city. You’ll love my place because of the friendly neighbourhood, comfy bed, well equipped kitchenette, and the overall cosiness of the space. My place is suitable for couples, solo adventurers or business travellers.

        The SpaceWe have a two storey home with a double car port out the front. Downstairs is two bedrooms and a half bathroom/laundry. Upstairs we have two bedrooms, TV, a modern kitchen and a newly renovated bathroom. This level also has access to a front deck and stairs down to the backyard. The backyard has artificial grass and an entertaining studio. There is a 'shed' which we have locked which contains some of our personal items. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole house except for the rear shed. If your booking is for a small group we may request to block off a bedroom. If you are a golfer, Hamersley public course (2 x 18 holes) is 3km away with the private Karrinyup Country Club being available only to those with sister club connections being slightly closer. 400m to the north of Beachside Grove is the Mt. Flora Observation Deck and local history museum (gold coin entry to museum) which is built within and on top of the now disused water storage tank, thus this point is the highest locally and has commanding 360 degree views, over beaches, bushland reserve and in the distance some of the city skyline and makes for a great viewing platform for the Australia day fireworks event. Also makes a wonderful platform if you are a star gazer. 400m to the East is the Star Swamp a Class Reserve and Heritage Trails, this reserve has been preserved for all time and is 250 acres of natural bush with a wetland at its heart, there are 10 km‘s of sealed signposted limestone trails meandering through the reserve featuring things from an historic orchard or aboriginal camp, to staging point for Light horsemen during war times and many more other interesting sites.
