The SpaceThis craftsman 1,900 sq ft home is so inviting that you may not want to leave! The space offers an open living room, dining space, and kitchen with magnificent views of the bay. The fully equipped chef's kitchen has a large granite top peninsula, six-top gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishes, flatware and other essential cooking equipment. The kitchen is stocked with some of the basic seasonings to aide you on your culinary adventures. You can chop your vegetables and enjoying the view!
The master bedroom has french doors that open to the main living room. This room has a queen sized bed and lots of closet space. The next room has a full size bed, dresser and small closet. The third bedroom has a twin-sized trundle bed that can sleep two people. The loft has a pullout queen-sized sofa bed for additional guests. There is one large bathroom with a shower and vanity.
The living room has a wood burning stove. Only experienced fire starters encouraged. And, of course, you have your own private dock to view the stars, fish/swim, or watch our skilled neighborhood bald eagles catch their lunch! Guest AccessYou have access to the entire house, front yard and private dock. We've stocked the house with games for when the weather is less than ideal. We are working on getting a tv and cable installed (hopefully in the next few weeks!). And we just installed super fast wifi! Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to have as much or as little interaction as you choose. We like to go out to new restaurants, festivals and events of all kinds and would be happy to provide you with ideas or suggestions. We will do our best to respond as quickly as possible to your questions. Feel free to reach us by text, phone or email. We live in DC, but are a short drive away if anything comes up. The NeighborhoodNorth Beach is only a 5 min drive or 20 min walk away. North Beach Friday Night Farmers’ Market & Classic Car Cruise-In: The PLACE to be every Friday, 6 to 9 pm, May 6, 2016 through October 7, 2016!
This weekly market offers seasonal delights from local farms including, fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, cheese, meat, seafood, fresh-baked goods. You can sample the wines from our very own Calvert County wineries and purchase by the glass or bottle. Classic car enthusiasts can enjoy viewing some of the coolest vehicles in the area at the Classic Car Cruise-In.
If you miss the Farmer's Market, Chesapeake Bounty, is the permanent brick and mortar version available year round. Get local produce, cheese, milk, jams, meat, seafood, ect. This place is awesome. They have a large selection for your farm-to-table meal and the veggies are reasonably priced. You can also get cooked crabs in the backlot food truck to take home.
If you’re looking for a quick dinner or drinks, I encourage you to check out Chesapeake Market and Deli at 7150 Lake Shore Dr, North Beach, MD. It’s about a 10 min walk/2 min walk away from the house. They serve hot and cold sandwiches, crab cakes, rice bowls, ect. (see the menu in the binder). You can takeaway and they also have a large selection of beer/wine and snacks.
A little further away, Skipper’s Pier at 6158 Drum Point Rd, Deale, MD, is a fun place for dinner. They are located in the marina -- it’s a festive, summer-loving place that often features live music. They serve fresh seafood, crabs and steaks along with great sides. It’s about a 20 min drive from the house. Getting AroundOnly a 45 min drive from Washington, DC (depending on traffic). We usually take Suitland Parkway to MD-4 S. The closest airport is BWI.

The private dock is all yours for swimming, crabbing, and fishing. For fishing, you will need to obtain a fishing permit. Please be safe when swimming off the dock. :-) ALL WATER ACTIVITIES ARE UNDERTAKEN AT YOUR OWN RISK.
North Beach also has plenty of swimming beaches. In the off-season, it's often free of charge.
