Come vacation in this brand-new home in beautiful Elk Neck and you will be glad you did! It is definitely a most gorgeous location and very peaceful, set back in the woods along the river. We want everything to be perfect for your stay, so be sure to call and ask any questions you may have and i will do my best to be sure you have everything you need! We have a unique property here, along the Elk River. Set back in a quiet cove, with creeks on each side, with a beautiful view of the River. Watch the ships as they pass through the channel- you'll want to bring the binoculars (we keep them in the house for your use). A pier for fishing or simply relaxing, while you watch the Eagles and Osprey soaring above the creek until they dive down to catch their fish! There are also plenty of Blue Heron, Geese, and Ducks. We even have our own Mallards you can feed! Take out the Kayak or the Rowboat and enjoy the day exploring the creeks and the river. Stop over at the 'sandbar' for a swim. You will be getting some great exercise and won't even realize it because you will be having too much fun!! At the end of the day, enjoy a cookout and relax in the Adirondack chairs along the creek :)

Feel yourself unwind as soon as you pull in the drive and take in the splendid water views from the decks of this private home on the North East River. Listen as the blue herons call while fishing in the shallows, and watch the bald eagles and ospreys circle in search of prey. The river's mood changes by minute. We are just 5 miles off Perryville's I-95 exit and 7 miles from North East's exit 100, but far removed from the typical motel rooms just off the interstate. You can rent the full 5-bedroom house, the 3-bedroom upstairs, the 2-bedrooms downstairs, or just a single bedroom. The property sits between Seneca and Carpenters Points, on the end lot of a small quiet community. The river and tidal creek provide seclusion on three sides. Boaters anchor in the shallows just up the beach. We have a dinghy, kayak and Sunfish available for your use in season. Our mooring can accomodate boats up to 30'. Eagles, blue herons, ospreys, wood ducks, mallards, river turtles, beavers, deer and foxes are abundant. We also have 19 undeveloped acres of woods and marsh adjacent to the property for exploring. Boaters anchor in the shallows just up the beach. We have a dinghy, kayak and Sunfish available for your use in season. Our mooring can accomodate boats up to 30'. The deep waters of the upper Chespeake are minutes away at Turkey Point, and the Susquehanna Flats are just around the tip of Carpenters Point.

The SpaceThe home sits right on the water with 300 feet of shoreline. There is a fire pit outside as well as a large glassed in cozy sun porch for relaxing with hot cocoa in the fall watching the leaves turn amazing colors or in the winter watching the snowflakes fall on the glistening trees. The views are spirit renewing, and the nature scenes you will experience are not forgotten. See the pics of sunrise/sunset and blue skies on the water. This is every day here. Come see for yourself! Guest AccessGuests have access to house, beachfront, sun porch, living room, big screen & projector for movies (there is no TV in the house), kitchen and the piano in the living room. Located on quiet country road with plenty of parking. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to help guests with tips for things to do, but find that most guests just stay right here and chill out. I love to cook and will be happy to share a great vegetarian meal with you if I am cooking that night. . I conduct Yoga classes & you can get a free yoga lesson if I am here during your stay. Getting AroundGuests will need a car to get here. It is about 10 minutes from interstate 95, Perryville exit. Other Things to NoteI am a vegetarian and do not cook meat, fish or animal proteins in the house. You are welcome to use the kitchen to cook, but I would ask that guests do not cook any meat or fish products. Some guests do not like the smell of meat or fish cooking, so it is best to make it a comfortable environment for all. I keep a very clean place and ask that all guests clean up after themselves in the room as well as the common areas and kitchen. No smoking is permitted in the house.

Come stay and enjoy our waterfront, custom-designed, 4-bedroom/3 full bath home on the Northeast river. Through the front door you enter into the open kitchen and dining area, complete with granite counter tops, stainless appliances, gas range, drop lighting, as well as hardwood and cork flooring. Beyond, you'll find the living room with field-stone fireplace (w/ gas insert), flat-screen TV, BlueRay, surround sound and comfortable seating for relaxing with your favorite friends, movie, book or game and a glass of wine. Directly adjacent is the first floor bedroom featuring a queen-size bed, ceiling fan, closet and full bathroom with a low-threshold shower. Heading towards the back yard you pass through the enclosed sunroom, perfect for picturesque sunrise breakfasts or birdwatching. It's also a great place to take a nap on the generous pillowtop futon. Outside, sit in the shade on the back lawn or on the deck overlooking the water. Or, head down the steps to the water to swim, kayak, fish, or take your boat out. We have 3 moorings you can use and there's a free public boat ramp just 3 doors down and a larger one just 5 mins away. Back inside, take the spiral staircase up to the second floor. To the right, find the second large bedroom with a double bed concealing a single trundle bed underneath. Note the beautiful arch-window, ceiling fan, skylights, and vaulted ceiling. Next door is the home office/bedroom with separate private entrance via sliding glass door and deck balcony. Also upstairs is the second full bathroom with stall shower and high vaulted ceilings. Finally, upstairs, you enter the very large master suite complete with king bed, vaulted ceiling, skylights, and what seems like a 'wall of glass' facing the water. Sliders lead you out to a large private deck with a commanding view of the river. To make the master complete there is a large private en-suite that features a double vanity, stained glass, and a two-person, space-age steam bath, tub and shower with many shower heads, blue lighting, and music. Other amenities include built-in laundry on first floor, dual-zone central heating & A/C (by floor), a computer nook off the Living Room, and WiFi internet. Also outside, prepare your summer dinners on the stainless gas grill, and enjoy them on the deck with wrought-iron accents hanging over the water complete with dining table and chairs and a Sky Chair hanging from the nearby tree. Then, travel down the steps to the waters' edge. There are 3 miles of water between our place and the other side of the river at this location. Good restaurants, big, and small, are close by car or boat in Charlestown, Northeast, Port Deposit & HareDeGrace. Take out food is also plentiful. There's even a casino less than 10 miles away. There are many birds to watch and a bird book usually on the table in the sunporch. Eagles, Egrets, and Heron are common here and many eagles can often be seen in the park next to the Conowingo Dam a few miles away. So come and relax or get some exercise to build your appetite, or both, at our place we call "Life on the Water". Its our slice of Heaven.
