Inside the house, choose between the en-suited master bedroom with queen bed, en-suite, French doors leading to the private courtyard, or the King bedroom with a 3 pillow wide king bed or it can be made into twin singles, and this bedroom has a fabulous underwater fresco bathroom. The Master and King rooms share a guest only lounge dining room, where breakfast is supplied each day. Off-street paved parking is provided for both. The Garden room is set in the back yard in its own clinker brick cottage with remote controlled garage. This room has a queen bed, en-suite, kitchenette, and full access to the tranquil back yard, including BBQ. There is a 2 night minimum on this air conditioned room as it is designed for longer stayers and is self-contained with dishwasher 2 fridges etc, however, breakfast is provided for the first night, until guests have time to get some supplies. This room receives weekly cleans and linen changes for long stays. Stay a week, get one night FREE in all rooms - see weekly rate and monthly rate less than nightly rates per night. FREE WiFi. Prices range between $180-$200 AUS per room per night ($180 for 1 and $190-$200 for two per room per night, depending on which room). Less than 20 minutes walk from cafe strips (to the east, west and north), CBD (to the south), Beatty Park swimming pool, Watertown outlet mall, parklands and Coles supermarket. Buses to the beach or the CBD are only 150m away. House includes linen, washing machine, wifi, deck, rear courtyard, front courtyard and off-street parking for two cars. Tim and Rosemary and their two adult children (early 20s) live nearby. We lead busy lives with work and study, but will be on hand to address any issues or to provide local knowledge as you wish. Located in a quiet yet near-city part of North Perth: close to the action, but far enough away to escape it when you wish. Lots of parks, options for eating out, shops and public transport all a short walk away. Regular buses to/from the CBD or the beach are 150m away. Cafes and shops are a short walk and freeway entries (north and south) are 1km away. Watertown outlet mall is also just 2km away. We fixed the cottage ourselves ... we sanded and painted the walls, installed the kitchen, laid the tiles and then filled it with a beloved uncle's furniture. We want our guests to enjoy staying here, and to look after our little cottage. The SpaceThis 2-bedroom unit feels spacious due to it's larger-than-average size and the large glass doors and windows looking out to the rear courtyard. A little fishpond is down the side of the property. The single bedroom is small and simple but nice. Both the queen and single mattresses are fairly new and very comfortable. The sofa in the lounge room is also reasonably comfortable to sleep on if you want to fit an extra person in though doesn't actually pull out as a sofa-bed. Two cars can be parked in the carport one in front of the other, but large cars may be too difficult to get in and out. There is some street parking as long as you use my residential parking voucher. Guest AccessYou will have access to WiFi, TV, fridge, basic pantry items and washing machine. (There is no automatic dishwasher.) Interaction with GuestsWe will not be present during your stay, but will probably drop by briefly once or twice to welcome you and make sure the fishpond and garden are ok. Getting AroundBus 990 to and from the city. Other Things to NoteIf you are here for more than a couple of days we will ask if you can feed the fish in the pond, or allow someone else to. The place is good for people with some mobility issues because it is all ground-level, the carport is by the front door, and there is only a small bump to get through the front and back doors. There's a high stool handy for sitting at the kitchen bench while chopping and cooking. The queen bed is a bit high, though, and may be difficult to get into for some.

The SpaceThe Garden room is the perfect room for those seeking solitude. Nestled in the back yard of Above Bored Bed and Breakfast, in its own clinker brick cottage it is Parisian inspired and charming. It has its own kitchenette and dishwasher, 2 fridges, desk en-suite, and a remote controlled garage, for its exclusive use, also suits pet owners well, because of its easy access to the fully enclosed back yard. It has a new gas BBQ right outside the front door also. Usually it has a 2 night minimum, but our AirBnB exclusive special enables clients to book in for a one night and couples stay at the one person rate too. Because it is self-contained, this room receives first day breakfast provisions and weekly linen changes and cleans. Guest AccessGuests receive a 6 digit code to get in and must answer breakfast questions prior to arrival they must contact the owner as soon as they book to facilitate this. Interaction with GuestsSarah has been a B&B host for 12 years. She is very happy to interact with guests who would like to chat, and she knows that there is nothing worse than the hovering host if they want privacy, so she lets the guests decide, and lead the way. Sarah lives on the premises and is only a door knock away, writing during the day mostly, in her own wing of this lovely Federation home. The NeighborhoodNorth Perth is a lovely suburb, and Above Bored is nestled in a leafy quiet street full of turn of the century Federation homes, yet so central, just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Perth CBD with easy buses, and restaurants within easy walking distance. A walking map is provided with restaurants, child park with swings and dog park, different parks, equally close, just a 5 min walk away. Getting AroundPerth has a great direct phone service so you can call and say where you would like to go and a real human being answers and says what bus or train to catch at what time etc, fantastically rare these days. Getting AroundThe place is a 1 min walk to Fitzgerald St with bus services straight into the city but if you like to walk, you can also make by foot in about 10-15 mins depending on your pace :) We are also only 15 minutes from the airport and the same time to the beach so very central!

The NeighborhoodThe house is right between Northbridge and North Perth. It's an extremely central location and you can walk to everything! There are so many great cafés, bars, and shops so close and it's very easy to get into the city. The house is across the road from a large public park with sports fields and walking trails. A large gym complex with swimming pool is a 5 minute walk away. You are right on the edge of the city while still feeling like you're in a neighbourhood. Getting Around• 5 minute walk to Coles (grocery store) and restaurants • Bus stop outside the front door to take you into the city (10 minute bus ride) • Easy walk to bars and restaurants in Northbridge, Mount Lawley and Leederville We usually walk or bike into the city or get the bus. Super easy to get home after a Night out. No need for cabs or a vehicle!

The entire front of house is at the disposal of the luxurious Master bedroom and versatile King or Twin bedroom guests, to make you feel right at home, from the stained glass front door entry with 24/7 entry combination lock to your private guest lounge dining and bedroom/s. Your air-conditioned wing is tastefully furnished, in keeping with the classy ambience of this home. The air-conditioned Master bedroom has an open gas fireplace and French doors leading to the gardens. The King bedroom has a 3 pillow wide king bed or choose twin beds and an amazing underwater fresco ceiling in its bathroom. Extra single bed available for either room on request. Or choose the Parisienne inspired, en-suited Garden Room, with kitchenette, including dishwasher and 2 fridges, and its own remote controlled garage. There is a 2 night minimum on this room. All rooms enjoy the private, landscaped gardens including outdoor settings, hammock, gas barbecue and goldfish pond. Feel comfortable all year round with reverse cycle aircon providing heating and cooling in both bedrooms and lounge room. Little Terrace is abundant with character and charm. With a love for interiors and styling we have filled the home with some of our favourite pieces collected over the past years. One off antiques, artwork and vintage pieces sourced from all over the world have been curated to create a cosy and inviting interior perfect for those wanting something a bit special. Lush indoor greenery fill pockets of the home to create a relaxing space for you to unwind and enjoy. Whether you want to explore the great small bar and restaurant scene, cycle to some great local cafes, take a picnic down to the picturesque Hyde park or head into town - Little Terrace is conveniently located in the heart of it all. Little Terrace offers a master bedroom with a stunning four poster queen bed, cosy linen and ornate lighting. A cluster of artwork hangs above the 2 single beds in the guest bedroom. The lounge room also features a generous size double sofa bed for an extra one or two guests if required. The home sleeps a total of 5 people comfortably, but can accommodate 6 people if required. The front porch is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine and look out to the city views from your elevated position. Alternatively you are able to escape from it all in the lush rear under covered courtyard which is a great space to enjoy brekkie or unwind on the day bed after a day out. No morning is complete without coffee - so please feel free to use the Nespresso machine provided. Coffee and an selection of teas are provided. Where possible natural personal, cleaning and beauty products are provided for your comfort. Guest AccessGuests have full and private access to the 2 bedroom house as well as front porch and rear courtyard for the duration of their stay. Street parking available with parking permits provided upon request. Two bicycles with helmets & bike locks are provided for your use and enjoyment. Feel free to pack a picnic and cycle to Hyde Park, or explore all the great local cafes, restaurants, boutiques and sights within close access. There are some stairs at the front of the home leading up to the front porch. May not be suitable for those with access requirements. As the home is filled with some fragile items and stairs at the front entry it is not intended to be a family friendly home for those with young children. The NeighborhoodLittle Terrace is a traditional terrace style home in a vibrant location perfectly positioned within a 5 minute drive to the well known hip suburbs - Leederville, Mount Lawley and North Perth. We are also on the border of Northbridge and Perth city making sure you have plenty to explore and see. Beatty Park is a 5-10 min walk away and has an excellent Gym and Pool for your convenience. Some of Perth's most beautiful beaches are also only 15-20 minutes away. As we are located in a vibrant part of town please note it can be a little noisy during peak hours and weekends so may not be well suited to very light sleepers in the master room. Getting AroundWe love our neighbourhood and encourage you to explore all that it has to offer. For those of you who love to get out an about - we have provided 2 bicycles with locks and helmets for your use. There are also many great cafes, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Getting around is quite easy with local busses also servicing the area. There is also street parking available for guests (please contact us at time of booking should you require a parking permit as there is no on site parking available - loss of permit may incur a replacement fee). There is a public pool walking distance from us which has a brand new gym and ultra modern facilities, some of WAs best eateries are 5 minutes walk and shopping is 2 minutes walk. Other Things to NoteThe house is owned by my dog Charlie who is a 14 year old very friendly Basenji (the breed doesn't bark).
