The SpaceWe are the only house on the pond you see on the map. Our place is a nice cottage on an amazingly beautiful piece of land! There's a paddle boat available for going out on the pond (in season) but it is not advisable for swimming. Guest AccessOur place is about 20 miles from the state capitol of VT, Montpelier, and about an hour south of the largest city, Burlington. We are an hour or less away from 5 ski areas. Interaction with GuestsWe would not be here when you stay because it's a one bedroom place. For the same reason it's only available on a limited basis. The NeighborhoodWe're on a dirt road with only one neighbor visible from our house. Getting AroundWe live 1.5 miles down a dirt road and 12 minutes from Interstate 89. Other Things to NoteWe'll leave essentials like milk, coffee, bread, cereal. We have a young cat who we hope you would be amenable to staying at the house. She requires minimal care, and mostly likes to be outside in nice weather.

Perhaps the most elegant and peaceful Vermont Inn we have seen! This historic mansion, located just south of Montpelier, has been beautifully restored to its original Victorian elegance. Once occupied by a princess, it is tastefully decorated with period furnishings, orientals, antiques, brass and carved wood beds with luxurious Eurpoean down bedding and private baths. We were served a unforgetable, multi-course gourmet breakfast, including fresh fruit, homemade hot granola, and then a main course. All this at a table aglow with interesting conversation, International guests, and a breathtaking view of the Green Mountains. After breakfast we strolled to the woodland koi pond, hiked through mountain trails, and into town with its five covered bridges. An experience you will always remember!

The SpaceThis 1860 Victorian has been in my family for over 100 years. It sits up overlooking the town of Northfield on 8 acres of forested land. Both private and public, you can sit on the front porch with your Nepresso latte and watch the activity in town, or take a walk down into town, eat at the new Cornerstone Burger Company, or take a walk up to visit Norwich University. Interaction with GuestsIf you rent the entire house, I can either greet you or let you know how to obtain the key. The NeighborhoodThis is always been a very unique property. Positioned on Turkey Hill, you get the benefit of being close to town while being separate from it as well. In the evening you will hear the rush of the water over the waterfall at the bottom of the hill, as well as the whistle of the train as it slowly passes through town.
