You'll love our charming cottage in the village of Northport. This comfortable two-story cottage was remodeled in 2014 with new paint, furnishings, and kitchenware. It has three bedrooms with full beds, a full bath, and can comfortably sleep ten (there's a pullout couch in the living room and another in the loft). Linens and towels are provided, along with a washer and dryer. The living room has a television, a DVD player, movies, books, and games. The fully equipped kitchen has basic staples like dish soap, paper towels, glassware, dishes, cookware, utensils, etc. The screened-in front porch and beautiful, enclosed backyard offer private spaces to relax, a safe place for kids to play, and an outdoor shower. Located only three blocks from the beach and downtown Northport, you can easily walk to the public beach, marina, Haserot Park, Barb's Bakery, coffee shops, wine tastings, brewery, galleries, bookstore, shops, restaurants, bars, bowling alley, golf course, health club, grocery store, bank, post office, and more. During the summer, there's a free concert at Music in the Park every Friday night at the Northport Pavilion by the public beach and occasional fire-spinning at the Northport Brewery. Both are a short walk from the cottage. Only a short drive away, you'll find the Leelanau State Park, hiking trails, the Northport lighthouse, miles of beaches and scenic shoreline, 10+ wineries (and many more on nearby Old Mission Peninsula), cideries, numerous breweries, golf courses, bike trails, vineyards, and orchards, and the delightful nearby towns of Suttons Bay and Leland (where you'll find many more restaurants, galleries, shops, beautiful public beaches, and even shiatsu massage). The cottage is about 45 minutes from the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore or Traverse City. On-street parking in front of the house is not allowed, but the driveway can accommodate two cars. Check-in is 4:00pm and check-out is 10:30am.
