The SpaceI'm Syabli, and my house is a magical little place in a neighborhood minutes from the beach on the west-side of Lombok. I'm a friendly, open-minded Indonesian (Native Lombok). I'm a lecturer and an internet Marketer, and I love hosting fellow travelers and nurturing community vibes. This space is a free-spirited, safe, loving, spontaneous zone where you are invited to be completely yourself! Guest AccessGuests have access to a private bedrooms with fan and a closet. The kitchen, including drinking water, stove and fridge, is yours to enjoy. The bathroom has a western-style toilet and cold-water shower. Feel free to make the most of the living spaces, including a motorcycle that you can borrow. Interaction with GuestsI work from home on the whole, so I am generally around in the mornings and nights. I live with my wife and two boys (2.7 years and 7 months). When I'm home, I use the common spaces like the living area, kitchen, bathroom. My bedroom is beside your room. Your rooms are your rooms and I won't go in while you're staying here. On my weekends, sometimes I'm home but often I'm off adventuring, so I may be here to hang out or you may have the whole place to yourself! The NeighborhoodLabu Api is a colorful paddy field neighborhood on the southern edge of Mataram, Capital city of Lombok. I love it here because it's a great combo of local flavor and foreign comforts. From my doorstep, great food, local handicraft shops, resorts, and the ocean are easily accessible by foot. There are lots of hidden gems in this area! A twenty-minute scooter ride to the north along gorgeous beaches such as Senggigi. In Senggigi, there's delicious food, fun beach bars, amazing spas, an art market and access to the Gilis and Bali. A five-minute scooter ride to the south takes you to Ampenan, the old Dutch port town, and ten minutes east from there takes you to the center of Mataram, Lombok's capital city, where you can visit local museums, markets and catch a movie. Getting AroundTaxis and motorcycles are your best bet: they're easy, cheap, fast and a walk/phone call away. You can also rent my own scooter for reasonable prices. People here are generally helpful and friendly. Other Things to NoteWe have a housekeeper, Ibu Ella, who comes on Monday untill Saturday mornings to clean. She only speaks Indonesian and is super friendly. I will let her know if you don't want her to go into your rooms to clean. Oh, my two little boys sometimes crying and playing around.
