The SpaceIts a cozy and unique house with lots of charm. Owned by artists, so there's a lot of art work from different artists. The place has lots of character and is a perfect place to stay! There is one bedroom with a really comfy king size bed and also an extra bedroom with a full size bed. There is also a blow up mattress that I can fit into the main bedroom to accommodate 1-2 more people. There are additional fees that apply for more than 1 room and 2 guests. Guest AccessWifi access California King size bed Bath tub and shower. Lovely sun room to relax in. A fully stocked kitchen. Dogs allowed (fence is not closed in and fees apply) The extra bedroom with the full size bed is available with an extra fee. Interaction with GuestsI usually communicate through airbnb.com or through email. Sometimes I am in town to meet the guests, which is always fun. Airbnb does not reveal your phone number or email address to me until you have made your reservation. So, we'd be communicating through the site until you've confirmed. The NeighborhoodJust across the street is the beautiful Paseo Arts District. There's plenty of art galleries, shops, bars, and restaurants to go to. Walkable neighborhood, which there aren't many in Oklahoma City. There's also an awesome park, Edgemere Park, that is just a couple blocks away. We are dog friendly. The fence is currently not completely closed in though. Getting AroundIts easy to get to down town and is in a central location to just about any good spot in the city. There's a bus that is a few blocks away. Driveway parking, and extra parking in back. Safe neighborhood with friendly people.

The SpaceWe have a cozy home in the center of town. Private room with a queen size bed, tv, desk and lots of storage for travel gear. We will have some snacks and fiji water to welcome you and a Keurig coffee maker with a nice selection of coffee and tea in your room. We also have lots of information on Oklahoma City and the state of Oklahoma as well. Remember we want you to feel at home! You are welcome to use the public spaces and not close yourselves up in the room. Guest AccessWhen you book you not only get a private room you have full acess to our home. A keyless entry with personal doorcode will make your stay simple with no worries of keeping up with a key. If you have a musical side, as long as it is treated with respect, feel free to make music on our concert Steinway grand piano. Need to relax after a long trip to town? Feel free to use our massage chair. When in season feel free to use our grill and back yard deck. Interaction with GuestsWe enjoy spending time with our guests when our schedules allow. Dinner in or out on the town is always a favorite. The NeighborhoodWe love our neighborhood. We are in the center of town access to everything (by car). Yet it has a quiet cozy feel. Oklahoma City is not like other cities, it is very spread out. There are very few places in town to walk out of your door to shops and cafès, the city is working on that. But our neighborhood puts you in the middle of the city so most everything is less the 10 min drive. Getting AroundThere are major line metro (bus) stops with in a few blocks of our home. Other Things to NoteParking is on the street in front of the house. (Other arrangements can be made in extreme cases) The house is not wheel chair accessible (3 steps up to front door), however the room and all shared spaces are on the main floor. If more space is required we offer our room. We choose not to list our room as a permanent choice but like to make it available to groups of more then 2. In the event a switch is needed the items available in the listed room will be placed upstais for our guests in our room. There is a king size bed and a futon so the room can accomodate 3 to 5 people.

The SpaceMeadowbrook Acres is the neighborhood. The Inn was built in 1923 as a guest cabin for the main house which was also a cabin but larger. Restored to it's original exterior and rebuilt interior to modern comfort and efficiency. The Inn is decorated with special family pieces mixed with modern comfort. Open windows with garden views and abundant light, this little place will do nothing but uplift your spirits and calm your heart. Guest AccessThe garden provides pathways, many individual and unique spaces for relaxing day or night with amazing lighting, water features and whimsical art. Relax on the private deck on the back of the Inn. To venture out, I-44 is just around the corner to connect you with the City at large. Less than five minutes walk or a quick ride on the provided vintage bike (use at your own risk) is the up-scale Classen Curve shopping district, Whole Foods Market and the Penn Square Mall. Interaction with GuestsThe Inn is a completely private and separate bungalow from the main house where I and my partner Jim live with the exception of two of the most amazing doggies that will amuse you with each pass. The garden is shared of course. Join me and my friends on Wednesday evenings for entertainment and fellowship in the garden if you wish. Walls of bamboo and architectural elements provide complete privacy. The NeighborhoodMeadowbrook Acres was platted in the early 1920's as 'lake homes' for the then Belle Isle lake and amusement park where Penn Square Mall and the big box stores now exist. Many of the original cabins have been lovingly restored and the Bamboo Inn and main house are perfect examples. Today, ultra contemporary higher-density residential living is melting into the mix of an awesome inner-city neighborhood. Getting AroundMetro Bus Service is available a block away on Classen Blvd. Please check local Embark bus service schedules and times of operation. OKC has awesome taxi services and VFH companies such as Lyft and Uber are available. Public Transportation is limited in OKC so a car or bike is still the best way to get around. However, within easy walking distance is OKC's finest dining, entertainment and shopping at the Classen Curve, Penn Square and the Western Avenue Corridor. Other Things to NoteIf you are a couple and wish to use ONLY the double bed in the bedroom, each nights stay is $100.00 plus associated AirBnB booking fees. If you are a couple and wish to use both the double bed in the bedroom AND the sleeper sofa in the living room (whether opened out or not) there will be an additional $15.00 dollar guest fee added to the $100.00 per night fee and associated AirBnB booking fees.

The SpaceThe Birdhouse is an adorable two story brick home located in the heart of the Cleveland neighborhood. With hardwood floors, an elegantly designed living room, sitting room, charming kitchen, and large master bedroom, you will have no amenities missing, I can assure you. While there are 3 bedrooms, only 2 are furnished (one with a queen size and one with a double size) but there is a couch that can accommodate one as well as an empty bedroom that could accommodate a blow-up mattress. There is a large backyard, furnished patio, grill, and front porch where you can enjoy a glass of wine after a long day! I want this space to be a space that encourages relaxation and creativity. The Birdhouse has lots of natural light and a very comfortable sitting area as well as a memory foam mattress in both bedrooms. My favorite part of the Birdhouse is probably the large backyard, the sitting room, or the little bookshelf nook upstairs because each provide a rich history that tells a story that it's not just a house, it's a home. You will have access to: Free Wi-Fi Cable + DVR Apple TV Laundry (You are more than welcome to use it but it is located out in the detached garage so you would need to walk outside to use it--fully equipped with detergent.) Kitchenware's (Pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups, spices, etc. And you are welcome to anything in the fridge and freezer--even the ice cream!) Steamer Fantastic water pressure in the shower I will interact with you as much as you need/desire! I can be in person to show you around or I can leave you to your own devices if you prefer. Whatever you need, I'll just be a text away. My goal is to hopefully aid in a successful time in Oklahoma City while providing a top-notch customer service approach to your stay at the Birdhouse. My favorite part about the Cleveland neighborhood is that you drive in and it's like driving back in time. All the homes are extremely well manicured and you will see young children riding bicycles and families walking their dogs or you might even hear a baseball game going on at the nearby high school. We have a very active neighborhood watch. We also have a wonderful selection of books in the community bookshelf! You will either need a car or an Uber to get here (OKC has a taxi service, Uber, Spokies downtown, and a bus system). The Birdhouse is extremely close to the following places by car: OKC Fairgrounds (2 miles) Whole Foods Market (4.4 miles) Oklahoma City University (1.2 miles) Starbucks (1.0 mile) And by foot: Walgreens Chow's Chinese Little Caesars Pizza Recommendations on Things to Do: Devon Boathouse District (9.5 miles) OKC National Memorial (3.9 miles) Bricktown Boat Tour (7.9 miles) Festivals (deadCENTER Film Festival, Cultural Festival, Paseo Arts Festival, Plaza District Festival, Oklahoma Regatta Festival, etc.) I do not have any iPod speakers or an ironing board. The SpaceIt is very hard to part with $50 for a $20 dollar room.. So, I hope to help someone out there that is on the road on a tight budget because I've been there myself (many nights)... Payin it forward.. My accomodations are well suited for humble, weary travelers in town overnight or for a few nights. This is not the honeymoon suite well suited for expectant mothers and husbands looking for a romantic, cozy place to relax indoors all weekend, BUT IT WILL HELP OUT THE WEARY TRAVELERS ON A BUDGET that aren't looking for the Ritz. I enjoy traveling & I love meeting new people.. Because I traveled so much, I had no need of several items, so little by little, I'm adding details to help make others stay cozy.. Anyone who stays here can look forward to me sharing my pastries & coffee in the morning. I look forward to meeting you & hope you'll come visit. Oklahoma has some of the strictest liquor laws in the nation, so keep that in mind if you're coming late or coming in on a Sunday. Guest AccessTo help increase comfort, I've added satelite tv & high speed internet. The SpaceWho says great things don't come in small packages. We have tried to put all the things you need into a small package. Fully equipped kitchen (you add the food), dining room for candle light dinners or breakfast in the morning. Guest AccessCasita has parking right in front of the house. Where you can unload practically at the front door steps. Also, I will give you a combo to get in so you don't have to keep track of a key. Interaction with GuestsI normally leave a combination in the front door, so whenever you get there you don't have to wait on anyone. I am always a phone call away if you need help to get to some of the best restaurants and activities available in the area. The NeighborhoodSo close to Bricktown/Downtown, Paseo, Plaza District, Other Things to NoteWell behaved dogs can visit with an additional cost of $25 per dog. Approval in advance required. Pet bowls provided for your pet's food/water. Please check out my recommendations of things to see and do while you are here. Just go to the top right of the page and click on "Guidebook". Each balloon on the map will give the restaurant or sight to see with my comments. All of these restaurants are all locally owned. I love buying local.

The SpaceWe love Oklahoma City and love to share it with guests. People traveling through are welcome, but anyone who wants to spend time here can have as many recommendations as they need for restaurants, bars, museums, parks, etc. We are up til midnight regularly, so late-check ins are always welcome. We have busy daytime schedules, so you'll have the house to yourself if you need space to just relax in the daytime. Guest AccessThe guest has use of a private bedroom with shared bathroom. The living room is typically used by us, but guests are welcome to watch a movie or hang out and chat! We always have juice or beer in the fridge, and typically various leftovers if you need a snack. We have a large backyard, and a front porch that is fun to relax on. Interaction with GuestsMore often than not we're home when you check in. We're in school and have work events, so we're not always around the whole time you will be at our home. We have had lots of our guests tag along with us and meet our friends or attend local events with us if they want to ! The NeighborhoodWe're close to downtown, at most a 10-minute drive to all the fun places. But the house is on a quiet street. 3 minutes to the interstate makes us convenient and accessible. A 7-11 is two blocks away, and a grocery store is just a few minutes farther. We have great neighbors who enjoy meeting our guests from all over the world! Getting AroundWe're 6 blocks in one direction and 7 blocks in the other from a bus stop that goes downtown. Buses do not run on Sundays. It's easier to have your own car to navigate the city, but we also have taxis and Uber. From our house it's about $10-15 to the downtown area where the fun things are.

The SpaceBefore we begin, three things: 1) I don't have internet or television at my studio, in case that's important to you. 2) My bed is a full size bed. Be aware of that if you are accustomed to a queen or king size mattress. It's medium firm. 3) Before requesting to stay, please see the note at the end of this description. My place is a funky and modern one-room studio that takes its cues from a hodgepodge of styles, with an emphasis on natural and reclaimed materials. Just 400 square feet, but surprisingly comfortable and livable. Centrally located in the city with quick access to I-44. The studio is a rear dwelling that sits behind the main home on thepjroperty, a brick house from the 1920's. I have gutted and remodeled the interior to my liking. Which means it is eclectic and a bit out of the ordinary. Speaking of the remodeling process, it was important to me to use as many materials and processes as I could that were natural and non-toxic. So I chose to use things like natural stone; natural wood; existing concrete; tree branches from nearby trees; wood and concrete stains made from iron oxide (apple cider vinegar + rusted steel wool) and iron sulphate (garden additive + coffee grounds); paints and sealers that were low voc; reclaimed/found/bartered materials from street curbs and secondhand outlets; cleaning products derived from common kitchen ingredients; and on and on. The space can most comfortably accommodate two people, though it could theoretically sleep seven (full size bed, full size air mattress, two couches, hammock). Let's don't try that, though: in such a small space that many occupants would be a royal me know ss. As mentioned above, thus far I have consciously left the house unplugged (no television, no internet) so as to make it more of a retreat and less of a life-suck. I want my home to be a place that encourages reading, sleeping, eating, thinking, entertaining, praying, or playing music more than a place that encourages zoning out in front of the television or getting lost in an endless haze of web surfing. Guest AccessThe whole place. -Clean towels and sheets and soap -Full access to kitchen, pots, pans, blender, dishes, etc -French press coffee pot and loose-leaf teapot available -Stereo system for listening to music Interaction with GuestsI meet my guests at the studio when they arrive to show them around, explain the quirks of the apartment, answer any questions they may have, and give them the key. The NeighborhoodNothing special to say about my particular neighborhood block. There is a fire station nearby so sirens are not uncommon. The neighborhood directly west of me is gorgeous, if you enjoy driving or walking around and looking at nice, old houses. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop a block away, but the public transportation in Oklahoma City is pretty poor. Getting pretty much anywhere in the city is easy by using nearby 1-44. The airport is about a 15 minute drive from my home. Other Things to NotePlease help me say "yes" to your request to stay in my home by first taking some time to fill out your profile, add pictures of yourself, get some referrals from friends, establish some verification from Airbnb, etc. As a potential host, I want to get a feel for who is asking to have access to my home when I'm not there, so I'm looking for reasons to trust you. An empty, brief, or vague profile doesn't do that. Thanks!

The house is posted for one bedroom, but if you need a second bedroom we can accommodate with an additional fee. There's a fully functioning, top notch kitchen with all sorts of unique ethnic ingredients you can try out. i love cooking, so we have plenty of amenities to choose from. Pets are welcome! The backyard is not completely fenced. 2 bathrooms. One with a shower and the other with a tub. Awesome house! Great neighborhood. Walking distance from many shops, grocery store, bars, restaurants, and galleries. Super safe. Driveway for parking, and easy street parking. Internet available. There's a bus stop also nearby if you need public transit. If you are looking to stay for an extended amount of time we can work something out! Guest Accessbeautiful home, wi fi, backyard that you'll never want to leave, apple tv, and an amazing VHS collection. Interaction with GuestsVery little interaction unless you want to hang out and I'm in town! The NeighborhoodAwesome Gatewood neighborhood walking distance to bars, shops, and restaurants. You may not want to leave the house though! Getting AroundDriveway and street parking. Public transit aka the bus, is a short walk. Other Things to NoteHave fun and be kind to the home! We love airbnb and also our home.
