If you arrive late in the evening, for example, there's no need to check in with us. Feel free to come and go as you like during your stay. Interaction with GuestsI work remotely from my home office, so I am available throughout the day to assist or answer questions. Chuck and I are home most evenings. We enjoy meeting our guests, so feel free to stop in and say hello. The NeighborhoodThe Summit Drive ridge-top neighborhood consists of three houses on 12 acres. We are all retired or empty nesters, so our area is very quiet, save for the occasional passing train. Getting AroundThere are no public transportation options available close by. Other Things to NoteWe have two dogs and a cockatoo. Our home is on top of a hill, so our driveway is a bit steep. All vehicles can get up and down with ease, however, and Chuck plows it on any rare snowy occasions. No worries!

My place is a little piece of paradise 20 miles from Lawrence. Topeka is 35 miles, Kansas City's 40 miles away. You’ll love my place for a little getaway, or if you prefer a "Mayberry" atmosphere with an easy drive to bigger cities. We offer lots of amenities, and small town hospitality! We also like to add personal touches, so let us know a little about yourself and why you're coming to the area. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with one or two kids).
