The SpaceThe space is also my home, which I moved in to approximately 1 year ago, having renovated it from top to bottom. It's a split level maisonette, over the first and second floor of the building. On the first floor you have an open plan kitchen with fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and oven and hob. This joins the dining/living room with dining table, corner sofa unit and tv/DVD player as well as wifi access. The open staircase leads up to the top floor with two, good sized, double bedrooms and a shared bathroom with a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC. This listing is for the second double bedroom with use of the shared bathroom but at times during the year, the entire apartment will be available. The maisonette is set down a quiet, private road, with communal gardens to the rear of the property and parking available at the start of the drive or there is free parking on the street also. I do have a garage, so if bikes are hired or extra storage space is needed, this is a lockable space for such things. This listing is for the use of the second bedroom, which has a double bed, large chest of drawers and a hanging rail available if needed as well as a tv/DVD player. The bathroom is shared and comprises of a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC. Towels and linen are all provided and there is also an airing cupboard for extras or speedy drying needs! I will be at work from approx. 7.30am-6pm Monday to Friday, during which time guests are welcome to make themselves comfortable downstairs and use the kitchen as they wish. I will most likely be back in the evenings, so I will be using the space at times but I'm a friendly host, so won't mind sharing! Breakfast can be provided at a small extra cost. This will just need to be confirmed in advance, nearer the time. There is wifi access and a good selection of DVDs and tv channels to choose from, should you not be occupied with all that you can go out and do around the area! Isleworth itself is a lovely place to live, with many beautiful open spaces around, local pubs and cafés, as well as great transport links (see Getting Around). Nearby Richmond (15-30 mins by bus, depending on traffic) has a wonderful range of shops, restaurants and bars, riverside walks and the well know Royal Parks Nature Reserve, Richmond Park. If you're after more shopping opportunities then Westfield London is just a bus or tube ride away as well as the nearby underground station for access to Oxford Street/Covent Garden and Notting Hill if a stroll through the Portobello markets is what you're after. If you're happy to walk, then Osterley Park is less than 10 minutes away as well as Syon Park and the towpath along the Thames (leading to Twickenham, Richmond, Kew etc) being accessible in 20-30 minutes on foot. Twickenham Stadium is approx 20-30 minutes away on foot, ideal for this year's Rugby World Cup and Wembley Arena and the O2 Arena are easily accessible on the tube. You couldn't be in a better spot for transport... It is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive to both Isleworth Station (trains to London Waterloo - 35 mins) and Osterley Underground Station (Piccadilly line to Heathrow Airport or Central London) as well as having many bus routes nearby, to Richmond in particular on the H37 for a wonderful range of shops, restaurants and bars, riverside walks and the well know Royal Parks Nature Reserve, Richmond Park. If you're happy to walk, then Osterley Park is less than 10 minutes away as well as Syon Park and the towpath along the Thames (leading to Twickenham, Richmond, Kew etc) being accessible in 20-30 minutes on foot. Bookings in advance. The NeighborhoodWe lived in London since 2004 and in this borough for 9 ayears. The house has easy access to the centre of town, but easy to get out of town, too. And Isleworth/Osterley is a little bubble of refined living, away from the stress of the big city. OSTERLEY, is an affluent district of the historic parish of Isleworth in west London approximately 9.5 miles (15.3 km) west south-west of Charing Cross and is part of the London Borough of Hounslow. Most of its land use is mixed agricultural and aesthetic parkland at Osterley House (National Trust), charity-run, much of which is open to paying visitor access. ISLEWORTH is a small town of Saxon origin sited within the London Borough of Hounslow in west London, England. It lies immediately east of the town of Hounslow and west of the River Thames and its tributary the River Crane. Isleworth's original area of settlement, alongside the Thames, is known as 'Old Isleworth'. The north-west corner of the town, bordering on Osterley to the north and Lampton to the west, is known as 'Spring Grove'. Getting AroundWe're plugged into everything. Overground, underground, above the ground...... The A4 it turns into the M4, is right at the end of our road. Osterley Underground station ( Piccadilly Line early and late) is 8 minutes from our front door, and Isleworth overground station (services to Waterloo every 15 minutes) is down at the end of our road, maximum 15 minutes' walk. On street parking is available. We are well-situated for transport links into London, both local and international. To get to us from Heathrow Airport, take the Piccadilly Line for central London and then getting off at Osterley. From Heathrow, it's 16 minutes by underground to Osterley, our nearest tube station. We are a 15 minute walk from Hounslow East. We are in Zone 4 of the Underground system. Other Things to NoteKew Gardens and the National Archives are within few minuetes distance by bus or 12 minutes by car. Osterley Park and National trust: A short hop from central London by tube but a world apart. Stroll up the tree-lined drive, past the grazing Charolais cattle and you'd think you're in the country, not urban Hounslow. Surrounded by gardens, park and farmland, Osterley is one of the last surviving country estates in London. Once described by Horace Walpole as 'the palace of palaces', Osterley was created in the late 18th century by architect and designer Robert Adam for the Child family to entertain and impress their friends and clients
