This would be the fifth year, that we're going to rent this house again. I have to say, the house was working great for us so far. The management is top-notch. For example, during one of our stays we experienced a typical north-eastern snowstorm, with an enormous amount of snow covering just about every road in the area into a snowfield and collapsing some power lines. The management was still able to plow the road to the house and help us with starting emergency generators. Their effort made our stay even in that kind of weather quite enjoyable. M S., Dec 15, 2014 Beautiful and enormous The place is huge, Plenty of land to play games, enormous deck and cooking area, the hot tube was great, The lake is perfect. The stay was wonderful. Brian G., Warwick, Jun 30, 2014 MLR is gorgeous and completely breathtaking! We celebrated our wedding at MLR. From the start Katrina was amazing with communication! We visited MLR multiple times to ensure everything was all set for our June wedding. The weekend went off perfectly! The rooms and the house were spotless, the grounds were beautiful and we were even lucky enough to see a mama snapping turtle lay her eggs! :) We can't wait to go back to MLR every year for our anniversary! Thank you so much Callie + Family for sharing your home with us, as well as Katrina and Polly!! -The Charlonne's Danielle L., Jun 20, 2014 Amazing House and Great Staff This is my 2nd stay at MooseLakeRanch. The 1st was a family reunion and the 2nd was for an Office Team Building event. On both occasions everyone loved it. Katrina and Polly are fantastic and will answer any questions you have. We rented snowmobiles in Fryeburg (Northeast Snowmobile). Everyone had a great time. And a special thanks to the Steuer Family for allowing us to stay in their home. Shane M., Feb 26, 2014 Outstanding visit for our group We were a group of friends, and the property was great for us. The house is very spacious, and the large grounds are great. It's very clean, and they were incredibly accommodating or everything we needed. The kitchen is excellent, with plenty of oven and burner space. A few things that are useful to know: cell phones work but reception can be spotty. Most of the woods don't have trails and it's easy to get lost, and a small portion of it is impassable (it's swampy, for example). Daniel Z., May 4, 2013 Ladies Retreat I would highly recommend this home for small & large families and groups gatherings. Your home is just delightful... in oh so many ways. The extra large beds were extremely comfortable with marvelously fresh clean linens. Your kitchen was wonderfully stocked for all our cooking needs, your sound systems worked out perfectly for our worship time and the view through the many glass doors and windows was just lovely. We were met with your very sweet and extremely helpful caretaker who saw to our every need...we certainly were made to feel at home. We had a very restful, spirit filled and enjoyable time. Thank you for sharing your charming home with us, it was a great blessing and joy-filled time. Dottie, Buxton, Maine, Apr 15, 2013

The Blueberry House acquired its name due to the abundance of blueberry plants around the property that ripen in late July and early August. You can enjoy the view from the wrap-around deck and living areas with water on two sides of the camp. A level piece of property with gradual access to a sandy area makes water entry easy for children. The sun sets directly off the dock, and can be viewed from the deck as well. You can enjoy the cool summer evenings in Maine on the furnished screened-in porch. Two hundred feet of shorefront and privacy makes this a quiet and comfortable retreat on Black Island, one of two year-round islands accessible by causeways on this large, clear lake. Loons and bald eagles are frequently spotted on the lake, fish jump for dinner at dawn and sunset. The Blueberry House is located on Thompson Lake in Oxford, Maine. Thompson lake is twelve miles long, and is one of the clearest lakes in the state. With a maximum depth of 121 feet, the bottom can be seen to a depth of 35 feet. Mount Washington can be seen from parts of the lake. It is a quiet lake with modest boat traffic. The shoreline is varied, with long stretches of undeveloped shore, shallow sandy areas and some steep and rocky. Don't forget to visit Thompson Lake Marina at the south end of the lake for ice cream and boat rentals! Fall is a great time to plan your stay at the Blueberry House. The views are breathtaking whether you are lounging on the deck or kayaking around the islands!

Features include a dock with shallow, sandy entry, canoe, rowboat, two kayaks, fire pit, washer/dryer, 2 full bathrooms and beds for 8. Summer Relaxation and Cool Down - This location on the pond is great for days full of... casual swimming, barbeques on the deck, canoeing or rowing, playing a game of catch in the yard, blueberry picking, taking a walk down the road to the marsh for birdwatching, taking a trip to Casco for ice cream and enjoying an evening fire in the firepit. The 'great room' connected to the deck with stairs leading to the path to the water makes it all feel like one big indoor/outdoor room. For a change of pace, take an easy day trip to Portland, Freeport or North Conway, NH, all a 50 min. drive. Fall and Winter Recreation and Fun - There is a great family apple orchard 20 minutes away, with a nice hike up Rattlesnake Mountain across the street. For great hiking views, visit Mount Tire'm in Waterford or Pleasant Mountain (Shawnee Peak) in Bridgton, only 30 minutes away. In the winter try cross-country skiing at Carter's in Oxford, or skiing/riding at Shawnee Peak or Sunday River (50 min. drive). Saturday pond freezes every winter for fantastic skating and there are some fun cross-country ski/snowshoe trails on nearby snowmobile tracks and along the pipeline.
