The SpaceWe live in a modern, quiet, safe neighbourhood with nearby access to public transit (to the downtown), the international airport and some of the the city's major north/south and east/west routes. Your room is on the 2nd storey featuring a queen sized bed, hard wood floors, a closet (improved with a small desk, chair, TV and luggage rack), a mirror and end tables. Towels and a hair dryer are also available. With the room, you have access to a private 3-piece bathroom. Summertime heat is battled with air conditioning. HD TV is sourced by an aerial so we receive: (CBC, Global, Radio-Canada, CHCH, CTV, CTV2, OMNI 1, OMNI 2, TVO, Télé-Québec, V, TVA, and City TV). Guest AccessGuests can use our kitchen, our backyard gazebo and deck, our laundry facilities, and our wi-fi. Please wait for instructions before using the laundry. Interaction with GuestsWe use this property as our home and would be pleased to answer questions about the city and the region. We have travelled frequently and thoroughly enjoy discussing great places to visit. The NeighborhoodQuinterra is a small development on the edge of the Rideau River with a mix of large houses, semi-detached properties and town homes. If you have time, a 30 minute round-trip leisurely walk will take you down a footpath to the river's edge. Getting AroundRoute 87 on OC Transpo stops nearby and, in just 25 minutes, this route can take you right to the city centre. In the other direction, this route ends at "South Keys" -- a place to catch Route 97 to the airport (use (URL HIDDEN) to plan a schedule). There are several mobile apps that can help you track the buses.
Hunt Club is just 500m south of our street and is a route with two lanes in each direction separated by a median. It traverses most of the city and connects to Hwy 416 in the west end of Ottawa.
Riverside Dr., Colonel By Dr., and Bronson Ave are all nearby and great North/South routes.
A taxi to or from the airport is about $17 (cash -- there is a surcharge to use a credit card). Other Things to NoteWe have a programmable lock on our front entrance. If you send us a code (e.g., the last four digits of your phone number), we can program that number as your access code for your stay. No keys to worry about!
