The SpaceThe apartment is ideally situated in one of the best parts of town. Its 2 bedrooms, and comfortably sleeps 4. The main bedroom has a Queen size bed and small balcony. The second bedroom is used as an office / guest room and has a sofa bed in it. The sofa bed is on the smaller side, more like a full, although we regularly have couple friends staying and it sleeps two with no issue. The living space is bright and open, not at all typical of the railroad style apartments that are a fixture of this neighborhood. The kitchen is small but fully functional. The bathroom is very small, but it gets the job done! Guest Access- Entire apartment - Wifi - Apple TV with American Netflix and Hulu Plus - Shared pay washer & dryer in the basement Interaction with GuestsThis is our home and we only rent it when we are out of town. We will arrange for neighbors to meet you on your arrival, give you keys and any neighborhood information you desire. We'll also leave a guide for restaurants, shops, and bars. You can reach us, or our neighbors, by phone at any point during your stay. The NeighborhoodOutremont has the best of everything. Beautiful tree lined streets, great local amenities for both shopping and recreation, and good public transport. We have lovely outdoor swimming pools, plenty of parks for picnics, and only a 15 minute walk to the famous Parc du Mont-Royal. Its incredibly safe, there's never cause for worry at any hour of the day or night. We are also literally steps away from the Mile End neighborhood which is one of the best parts of town for local street life and great bars. Getting AroundWe are a 9 minute walk to the Outremont metro stop. Only a 3 minute walk to the 80 bus, which is a incredibly convenient way to get downtown. There are also many Bixi bike (public bike) stands near by. Parking is street only and much of it is permit parking, however I rent cars frequently and never have to look long to find a legal spot. Other Things to NotePlease note that a Beagle named Lily lives here. She will not be home when you are visiting and the house will be clean, but if someone in your party has severe allergies you should be advised! One story walk up.

The SpaceI recently moved into this wonderful loft! It is a beautiful large space invaded by colours and an invigorating happy vibe! The open concept kitchen is the heart of the place- and with so many great grocery stores and fresh fruits and veggies on the block I think you'll be inspired to use it! Just note that there is no Microwave. The stools on the bar are perfect to kick start your evening with a drink before going to a show! In the living room, the couch will hug you to no end- enjoy it while watching something on Netflix (Apple TV). The bedroom has a Queen bed and 20 ft high ceilings! There is a ladder that goes to heaven- but access is restricted. I'll tell you more about it when you book :-) The bathroom is large and well lit. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom's closet and a tub in case you want to take a bath after a long day of walking through the city. The large windows in the living room and bedroom expose a pretty and unobstructed view of the surroundings and provide incredible brightness during the day. In the evenings, the big black-out curtains will help you sleep. Also, please note note that all lighting in the apartment can be dimmed to the desired mood! The dining room can fit 10 people, though if you are hosting a dinner party during your stay- make sure you let me know in advance - we might need to set you up with extra plates! Guest AccessYou should know that my pictures are on the walls, my clothes are in the closet, and my food is in the cupboards- It'll be as if you were visiting a friend's place while the friend travels! Interaction with GuestsIf you are staying in my awesome place it's because I am traveling so unfortunately I won't be able to interact with you in person. The NeighborhoodThe apartment is on Park Avenue between St-Viateur and Bernard. Literately in the heart of the Mile End! On that block you've got everything you need! 2 fruit/veggie vendors, one supermarket, 2 pharmacies, the YMCA gym, a fresh fish store a hardware store and a couple of cafes. You are two steps away from the famous St-Viateur bagels and Olympico coffee shop plus lots of small vintage stores, restaurants, bookstores, flower shops and much more! You are also smack between a very eclectic demographic including Hassidic Jews and Hipsters :-) The neighbourhood is very English friendly, though you are in Montreal so French rules nonetheless. Getting AroundBus 80 (turns into 435 during rush hour) which runs on Avenue du Parc and takes you down to Place des Arts metro station (green line), goes by every 10 minutes all day and all night! Very convenient! Particularly if you are going to the Jazz Fest, Francofolies, Montreal en Lumiere and all the other festivals happening at Place des Festivals-- it's a direct ride of about 13 minutes to and from the festivals! Other Things to NoteIf you are visiting in the summer, note that there is only one fan and it's in the bedroom's ceiling. In general with the windows open there is a lot of fresh air that circulates. If you visit in the winter, make sure to bring slippers and comfy warm clothes to wear while at home as the apartment can get chilly at night. The ceilings are too high, the apartment is a corner unit and the building is badly insulated so turning up the heating just won't do. I suggest cuddling on the couch and grabbing a warm blanket ;-) Feel free to use anything you find in the cupboards, just make sure to replace it before you leave. Thanks! The apartment is perfect for 2 people as there is only one bed, however, if you are planning on travelling with friends I do have a double inflatable mattress and the couch is wide and comfortable for someone no taller than 1.70mts.
