The SpaceThe large second story bedroom has it's own private bathroom and loft area. The house is open with large inviting views to the backyard. There are great spaces inside and out to relax and enjoy the beauty while being conveniently located to the Plaza, Westport and southern Johnson County.
We live in a safe urban/suburban neighborhood that has all the amenities of city living and the beauty and privacy of country living. Guest AccessShared:
Guests will have access to all the main floor kitchen and living spaces. You are welcome to use the TV in the shared family room.
The amazing wrap-around porch and deck, overlooking the stream and gardens, are the favorite spots for breakfast, meals and late night drinks. You are welcome to explore the vegetable and flower gardens and spend time enjoying the greenhouse (used mostly for hosting outdoor movies and garden parties). We also have a four-season hoop house bursting with salad greens in the winter months. You are welcome to nibble on the many edibles in the garden too!
The 3 other second story bedrooms are off limits, as they are our private office and bedroom spaces. Interaction with GuestsWe run our businesses from home, so we are flexible and available during your stay.
We are outgoing and welcoming, but also sensitive to your privacy. We ask the same respect to ours as well.
Breakfast: You are welcome to help yourself to what we have available.
I usually have cereal, fruit, granola, yogurt, organic eggs and breads. There is always our very own local raw honey and homemade jams too! I have a large choice of teas, black, green and herbal and great KC Roasterie coffee.
We teach local classes on organic gardening, beekeeping and herbalism from the gardens. So we love to share and learn from our guests too.
We are world travelers and enjoy sharing our lives and passions with others. We look forward to welcoming you to our home! The NeighborhoodOur location is perfect!! Overland Park's wonderful Saturday farmer's market and historic downtown are just blocks away. The area features great little shops and restaurants to browse. We are also two exits away from the new IKEA. :)
