Persons wishing to stay in our backpacking dormitory accommodation are required to have with them, a full sized traveller's backpack. A backpack is not required to stay in a single, twin or double room.

All bedrooms have queen size bed and one also has a single bed. 2 lovely clean and modern Bathrooms with showers, the downstairs bathroom is shared with another guestroom. The upstairs bathroom is shared with the host. Check in time is 12 noon. If you need to arrive earlier you may come and leave your bags and enjoy the amenities of the house. It may be that your room may not be ready due to cleaning schedules. All this in a modern comfortable 4 bedroom house with pool, and parking available Close to The Barracks complex which includes Palace Cinemas and many lovely places to eat and drink. Walking distance to Paddington, South Bank, West End and the City. 200m walk to Suncorp stadium. The perfect place to stay on game night. 15 min to airport via the airport link tunnel. Easy access to freeways in all directions. Public transport is easy as I am situated 5 minute walk from Roma Street station which is the city's major bus terminal and ten minutes walk from Milton station.     The SpaceLuxury room with exclusive use of the main bathroom inc full bath, shower and washer/dryer. Ducted aircon, ceiling fan, desk and chair, 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, Egyptian cotton towels, bar fridge with ice box, tea and coffee making facilities and smart TV with Netflix etc. The room also opens on to the terrace and has its own lounge area - perfect for those balmy Brisbane nights. There is secure under building parking, if required. NOTE there is a second bedroom also avaliable - see seperate listing of you'd like two rooms. The apartment feels like an inner city oasis and has an edgy London/New York feel with great views over the surrounding suburbs of Petrie Terrace, Paddington and the Suncorp Stadium. There is a fantastic atmosphere when there is an event on at the stadium, and it's great to kick back on the deck with a beer or wine and soak it all in! For a city apartment, we have a large outdoor deck (100 sqm) which is great for pottering around on or relaxing with a wine and enjoying the views. Please note that whilst we are close to the rail line, the trains are speed limited here so the noise isn't too noticeable - other than when an occasional freight train goes through! The rooms are also very well sound insulated. There is also easy access from our apartment to the communal BBQ level and roof-top pool - both of which have great views. It is not a huge pool but its a great spot to catch some rays and cool off with a dip. The building itself is in an up and coming area within easy walking distance to many of Brisbane's major attractions. Cereal, bread/toast, honey, peanut butter, jam, marmalade, Vegemite and eggs (for boiling or poaching) are available for breakfast - guests can help themselves to this and also to tea, coffee, milk, juice, cordial and water. Guest AccessGuests have exclusive access to their room, their outdoor lounge area and the main bathroom (owners may have to use the washing machine occasionally though). Guests are welcome to use the kitchen (within reason), living/dining area and the main outdoor terrace area as well. Guests also have access to the communal (shared) BBQ deck (with great city & river views) and the pool deck. Interaction with GuestsWe both work Mon-Fri so generally there isn't anyone about during week days, but we are usually around at weekends. We are sociable and enjoy a beer or glass of wine with guests on the deck. Happy to interact as much or little as guests like though. The guest room has a smart TV, bar fridge,tea and coffee making facilities and it's own sitting area so if you want some quiet time to yourself you have the space to do so! The NeighborhoodThe apartment is in the CBD fringes and within easy walking distance to many of Brisbane's major attractions: The Barracks (major Coles supermarket, bottle shop / dining / cinema) - 5 mins Caxton Street - bars/restaurant strip - 7 mins Suncorp Stadium - 12 mins CBD - 15 mins Queen Street Mall - 15 mins Roma Street Station - 10 mins Museums & art galleries - 15 mins West End - 20 mins Paddington - 20 mins Southbank Parklands & lagoon - 15 mins Convention Centre, QLD Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern Art, QPAC / QLD Museum etc - 15 mins Ithaca Pool - 12 mins Park Road restaurants - 15 mins City Botanical Gardens - 25 mins Caxton Street has a great vibe and we love a Sunday afternoon beer at the Caxton or the Paddo Hotel! Palace Cinemas at the Barracks is another favourite spot - they show mainstream and art-house moves. The are also some great restaurants at the Barracks, Libertine and Peasant are two of our favourites. South Bank and West End are also both within easy walking distance. West End is great for brekkie and there are some amazing food festivals at Southbank. Getting AroundThe property has secure underground parking if you are coming by car. If arriving by plane then a cab ride is about $55 or an Uber around $38. We highly recommend a cab or an Uber as the walk from Roma Street Station to ours can be difficult if you have lots of luggage. However, if you are feeling game you can get the Airtrain to Roma Street Station and we are a 10 minute walk from there. There are plenty of local buses in the area. Most of Brisbane's attractions are within walking distance, but if the Brisbane heat gets a little too much then the cabs and Ubers are plentiful too! Other Things to NoteWe are friendly and respectful male couple (one British, one Torres Strait Islander). Whilst same day requests are usually accepted, this will depend on individual circumstances and flexibility may required around check in time.

    The SpaceOur air conditioned house has 1 queen bed, 3 double beds, a single day bed and a port-a-cot that comfortably fits a family of 6 or 4 couples. All linen and towels are included for your stay. There is a self contained kitchen with everything you could need with the exception of a conventional oven; however there is a very functional convection microwave oven. There is a laundry with a large washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. A verandah with gas BBQ facilities overlooks the back yard. Wifi connection is from our house across the road plus free to air TV and bluetooth stereo for your use. Also included is off street parking for two/three vehicles. There is potential for pets but we would need to discuss prior to accepting the reservation. We are happy to negotiate for stays longer than a month. We are flexible with arrival and departure times depending on the needs of other guests. We just need enough time to clean between guests. We do endeavour to do our best to accommodate any reasonable travel schedules. On arrival you will find beds freshly made, towels, basic toiletries, tea and coffee. Interaction with GuestsThe house is all yours. We live just across the road and are available at any time if you need anything. If you are arriving late at night or early in the morning we would be happy to organise a grocery shop for you. The NeighborhoodRed Hill is a very safe, kid friendly area with lots of parks and open spaces. We live in a well established, relaxed, quiet location with a great mixture of personalities and families all of whom are are happy to say hi and help out if you need anything. There are several primary and secondary schools within walking distance and there are three public pools within a 10 minute drive. Getting AroundThe Brisbane CBD is only 3km from our house and is a 30 minute walk through Paddington and Petrie Tce. Some guests have found the area hilly so if walking is not your thing there are several bus services surrounding us that provide quick access to the city, South Bank and Roma Street transit centre. Several cab ranks are located nearby and provide a quick service and cost around $15 to the city. The airport is also an easy 15 minute drive using the toll road. Access to the Bruce Highway and the Pacific Highway are simple to negotiate which makes travelling to the beaches and theme parks a breeze. The Koala Lone Pine Sanctuary is just a 20 minute trip along the Western Freeway. Other Things to NoteThis zen inspired home provides simple, spacious living areas and is hidden in a well established landscape that has an outlook over the valley. Our street is a very peaceful one that provides a great kid friendly atmosphere. We have a port a cot, high chair and kiddie gate in the house if you need them.

      The SpaceLuxury 2 bed apartment with large bathroom inc full bath, shower and washer/dryer. Whole apartment has ducted air-con. Main bedroom also has ceiling fan, desk and chair, queen bed, 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, Egyptian cotton towels, bar fridge with ice box, tea and coffee making facilities and smart TV. The room also opens on to the terrace and has its own lounge area - perfect for those balmy Brisbane nights. Second bedroom has ceiling fan, double bed, TV and plenty of cupboard space. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Good sized lounge and dining area. There is also free secure under building parking, if required. The apartment feels like an inner city oasis and has an edgy London/New York feel with great views over the surrounding suburbs of Petrie Terrace, Paddington and the Suncorp Stadium. There is a fantastic atmosphere when there is an event on at the stadium, and it's great to kick back on the deck with a beer or wine and soak it all in! For a city apartment, there is a very large outdoor deck (85 sqm) which is great for pottering around on or relaxing with a wine and enjoying the views. There is a good sized outdoor table, setting, an outdoor bar, shade blinds and a 4 burner BBQ. Please note that whilst we are close to the rail line, the trains are speed limited here so the noise isn't too noticeable - other than when an occasional freight train goes through! The rooms are also very well sound insulated. There is also easy access from our apartment to the communal BBQ level and roof-top pool - both of which have great views. It is not a huge pool but its a great spot to catch some rays and cool off with a dip. The building itself is in an up and coming area within easy walking distance to many of Brisbane's major attractions. Guest AccessNote this is actually a three bed apartment but there is no guest access to one of the bedrooms. Guests have complete and exclusive access to all other areas, and to the (shared) roof-top pool. Interaction with GuestsN/A - arrangements will be made to handover keys. The NeighborhoodThe apartment is in the CBD fringes and within easy walking distance to many of Brisbane's major attractions: The Barracks (major Coles supermarket, bottle shop / dining / cinema) - 5 mins Caxton Street - bars/restaurant strip - 7 mins Suncorp Stadium - 12 mins CBD - 15 mins Queen Street Mall - 15 mins Roma Street Station - 10 mins Museums & art galleries - 15 mins West End - 20 mins Paddington - 20 mins Southbank Parklands & lagoon - 15 mins Convention Centre, QLD Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern Art, QPAC / QLD Museum etc - 15 mins Ithaca Pool - 12 minsc Park Road restaurants - 15 mins City Botanical Gardens - 25 mins Caxton Street has a great vibe and we love a Sunday afternoon beer at the Caxton Hotel, which also does amazing steaks! Palace Cinemas at the Barracks is another favourite spot - they show mainstream and art-house moves. South Bank and West End are also both within easy walking distance. West End is great for brekkie and there are some amazing food festivals at Southbank. Getting AroundThe property has secure underground parking if you are coming by car. If arriving by plane then a cab ride is about $55 or an Uber around $38. We highly recommend a cab or an Uber as the walk from Roma Street Station to ours can be difficult if you have lots of luggage. However, if you are feeling game you can get the Airtrain to Roma Street Station and we are a 10 minute walk from there. There are plenty of local buses in the area. Most of Brisbane's attractions are within walking distance, but if the Brisbane heat gets a little too much then the cabs and Ubers are plentiful too!
