The SpacePriced for a couple, my home is spacious and I love living here because of the warm, welcoming atmosphere and I would love guests to experience this. I'm located in an older quieter part of town and surrounded with established trees and merely a short pleasant walk from the town center. You are welcome to socialize in the lounge or wander round the garden or sit outside and enjoy the serenity. My dog wanders the garden space as well and may be keen to play but if you don't wish to do this, he will retreat to rest. I like to meet travelers and share stories but you will also be free to retreat to your own space for peace and quiet. A continental breakfast (cereal and croissant, cheese, meats or sweet condiments) will be offered which is included in the price but you may wish to have a cooked breakfast, which I can prepare for you for an extra $10 per person. I enjoy fresh low fat tasty food and I am gluten free so I understand food allergy and dietary needs. Guest AccessYou may wish to use the rear entry which is close to guest accommodation. the yard is fenced and is a safe place to park bikes if you are a cycle trail user. (the cycle trail is only a 3 minute ride away). There is ample room for guest off-road parking. Interaction with GuestsBeing a keen traveller and into outdoor activities, I may be able to offer help with your travel plans or local tourist attractions/ activities. I enjoy meeting people The NeighborhoodPaeroa is known for the locally made drink Lemon and Paeroa and it's antique shops but there is also some interesting architecture and local art to view or some trout fishing to try your hand at. Near-by, are old mining ruins and interesting tramps for most abilities. There is a Maritime museum close by. The cycle trail runs through Paeroa and links to Waihi and Te Aroha. The town also has a good variety of ethnic eating places. most of these offer a take-out option. All amenities are close at hand, including the town pool, pubs, parks, medical center. Trout fishing is close by as is salt water fishing. Getting AroundThis accommodation is a 10 min walk from the intercity bus stop and a 3 minute bike ride from the nearest cycle trail exit. It is a short walk to the town center. If you wish to use this place as a base and take day trips to the wonderful Coromandel or other near-by areas, you will need your own transport unless you are booked on a bus tour. Other Things to NoteI have a dog so this accommodation is offered to people who like dogs. People with campervans are welcome to park for the night and stay in their vans for a fee of $10 for the use of power. If you are a camper you can negotiate to use other facilities such as bathroom, laundry. I do speak some Dutch and a tiny bit of Italian.
