The SpaceWe have a comfortable townhouse which is usually home to mum, dad, a 12 year boy and an 11 year old girl. So if you're looking for a base while you're exploring Sydney, our home is perfect for re-charging after your big days out. Separate lounge and dining areas mean adults can enjoy their dinner in peace while the kids play on the wii or chill out in front of the TV (small selection of dvds available).
Upstairs we have a large bedroom with Queen bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. The two single rooms share a bathroom with shower and bath. One of the single rooms has a trundle bed which folds out to the height of a regular bed. This can also be joined to the single bed to make a huge King Size bed (in a small room!) Guest AccessOur small rear courtyard, with leafy outlook has a table tennis table (which can be easily collapsed) and a netball hoop for you to enjoy, while indoors your children will be able to play with various toys suitable for 0-12year olds, not to mention a good collection of board games and puzzles. Feel free to dip into our pantry for items that didn't make it into the shopping list. In addition to the fully equipped kitchen (including that most essential of items for a happy holiday, the DISHWASHER), we have a charcoal BBQ on the verandah (we'll leave you a bag of charcoal and some firelighters). We'll be happy to set up a guest wi-fi password for you should you need it. Interaction with GuestsNot being huge (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) lovers, we would like to be in telephone and/or email contact with you. We will be in Sydney while you're here so can help with any issues that might arise. The NeighborhoodWe are in a tucked away pocket of Pagewood next to a golfcourse. It's blissfully peaceful and at the same time not far from many conveniences. Two minutes walk away are the delightful Gaiarine Gardens with a small playground. 10 to 15 mins walk (depending on how fast your little ones can go) are the fabulous Garnet Jackson Reserve (with playground, exercise track, basketball area and outdoor exercise equipment) and Booralee Park (with huge playing fields and really good playground). Right next to Booralee is the Botany Aquatic Centre, open during the summer months. Five minutes drive away is Eastgardens Westfield Shopping Centre with everything you need, including a good selection of restaurants and Take Away possibilities.
We are 10-20 minutes drive from various beaches, the closest being Maroubra beach, and 20 -30 mins from the city CBD - depending on traffic! Getting AroundWe are close to the airport which makes a taxi ride relatively inexpensive (approx $30), and the 400 bus goes from the airport to a stop about 11 minutes walk from our home (a good option if your bags aren't too heavy). If you have a car there is both visitor parking and on street parking available for you.
Various bus stops are 8 to 15 minutes walking distance. A quick ride to Eastgardens Westfield bus terminus will provide you with more choice in your bus destinations. Other Things to NoteWe have a few pot plants which we would love you to water every so often.
