The SpaceSteps to beach and downtown village restaurants and shops.Complete ocean views from both levels! Views from master bedroom and living room areas. You have complete and private access to the main entrance level, which includes the two bedrooms ,two baths. Also the entire top level which includes a full granite kitchen , dinning room and living room - all overlooking the ocean! I live in a studio on the garage level, out of sight unless you need me. My unit is completely self contained with its own entrance. Each group of guests has their preference for a level of privacy. The floor plan and set up offers as much privacy vs assistance, you might want. You will be steps away from the Esplanade where you can walk or bike ride for miles along the ocean. Step out the door and the entire Redondo Village is in front of you. Walk to shops, restaurants, a full service gym, grocery stores and much more. There is no need for a car as you are steps away from all your needs! Walking or bike riding is the best way to get around town. Public buses are also available if you want to visit the nearby beach communities of Hermosa, Manhattan, or Long Beach. It will cost about 25.00 to take a taxi to LAX. Guest AccessYou will have exclusive use of the top 2 floors, which can accommodate 8 people. A large patio on the main level for dining and/or sunning; 2 bedrooms and 2 baths can sleep 4. The master bedroom has expansive ocean views, a Tempur- Pedic king size bed and jacuzzi tub. The 2nd bedroom (the Turquoise room) has a full size bed (sleeps 2) and over looks the patio; the entry is expansive and includes a full size futon (sleeps 2). The living area on the top level, offers a choice of a queen size air mattress, or 2 comfortable couches, all with ocean views and crashing waves. Everyone will sleep soundly. Off the living area, is a ocean facing balcony with Weber BBQ, and just enough furniture to enjoy some great sunsets over cocktails. Interaction with GuestsWhen I have guests, I reside on the bottom level (garage level) with my dog and 2 cats. My studio is completely self contained with my own kitchen, bath and entry. This set up offers lots of flexibility in terms of the level of privacy you'd like to have. Option 1 -Each morning you will find a continental breakfast that has been sent up to your kitchen using my dumb waiter. (Short term rentals. Less than 1 week) Option 2- If you prefer, you can make your own breakfast and I will simply stock the kitchen with the things you like for breakfast. Coffee and tea are available for you to make and serve on your own. I remain out of sight, but I'm available by cell phone. I usually stay close to town when I have guests, should you need me for anything. The NeighborhoodThe people of Redondo are some of the friendliest, down to earth people to be around. It is a common thread, no matter where you go. Great restaurants, shopping, and beaches. My favorite fine dinning place is Zazou (reservation usually needed). Bouzie's is right next door and offers a great spot for cocktails and light meals. Take a 30 minute walk north to Redondo Pier and you'll find a whole different Redondo experience. More great restaurants, plus an amusement park area for kids. Old Tony's restaurant is an "old school" icon you shouldn't miss. Naja's is a fun local beer bar you won't find advertised anywhere! Lots of fresh fish on the pier and in The Village, caught locally and proudly served by almost all the eateries in the area. Great beaches, outlined by a long bike and walking path known at the Esplanade, will lead you to our neighboring towns of Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach. All doable over a long weekend! Getting AroundWalk, bike, bus, or taxi. Every form of transportation is within a few steps!

The SpaceJust 25 minutes from LAX this magnificent home is on the highest point above the Pacific Ocean on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. This oasis is in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Palos Verdes is home to countless Billionaires who decided PV offered the right balance of big city life and the tranquility of paradise. Have one in the morning and the other in the evening. Just the way you want. The house has six bedrooms, two living rooms, and four full bathrooms spread over 5,000 square feet (465m2). The main feature of this recently fully remodeled modern home are the striking 270 degree views of the Los Angeles Bay from all but two rear facing bedrooms in the house. The views stretch from Malibu to down town Los Angeles to the cranes at the Long Beach Port. You'll watch the skies turn from blue to orange to red past sunset. At night you'll see the planes line up in a straight line to land at LAX. You'll see millions of lights twinkle at night between you and the mountains at the other side of the Los Angeles basin. During hot summer nights you'll sit outside drinking a glass of wine wondering how you got to be the lucky one to enjoy such a miraculous view. The practical: I would like to rent the house out from June 1st to August 30 to just one lucky group or renter for the entire period. Right now only four of the six bedrooms are furnished as bedrooms. Please let me know if you need more bedrooms. I will arrange to change the furniture to bedroom set-ups.

The climate is generally sunny and cool. A sunny day at the beach can get warm for sunbathing, but this is not the tropics, instead it is a dry dessert climate and therefore a more comfortable climate. Many foreign travelers come here to enjoy the climate, foreign students are here to study English at several schools and at colleges and universities in this vicinity. You will hear languages spoken on the streets and cafes from all over the world. I love this eclectic mix of people right here in my own neighborhood! Getting AroundThe Metro Bus stop is one block away. It serves the Beach communities from Long Beach to LAX and connects to other busses going into Los Angeles and communities East of this region. As mentioned above I have a 21 speed bike for your use at no charge and the "strand" walk way is also for bike riding along the beach all the way to Santa Monica and back in one day! Other Things to NoteI have no pets. No dogs are allowed at this apartment complex. I ask for all guests to be quiet coming and going from the twin apartment buildings where I live and there is no smoking on the grounds of these buildings. You may smoke in my private patio and I will have a covered container with sand for your cigarettes. No smoking in my apartment unit is strict! I have been a hostess for over 7 years for travelers and students, have also been a traveler, lived and worked abroad in Europe.

Also, you have to love kittens ... sometimes inside the house. This is a special find in the South Bay. We love it here, and hope you do too! We are walkable to the ocean, but WE ARE NOT OCEAN FRONT. The walk down is filled with beautiful vista from Catalina to Santa Barbara and the Channel Islands. South Redondo Beach has some of the best Kite Sailing, Surfing, and hiking in Souther California. Even the dolphins and whales choose this cove! Surf rentals are located just a 10 minute walk down to the beach, just beside Perry's restaurant on the beach: all of the makings for a beautiful afternoon in SoCal.
