    Our comfortable and well equipped one bedroomed apartment is located in the region of Chloraka and is only a short bus or car ride to Paphos centre, yet away from all the bustle. It takes a 20 minute walk to the beach and is ideal for walking via the coatal path to Paphos harbour. The apartment houses a comprehensive range of new kitchen appliances, an additional pull-out double sofa bed in the lounge and the television incorporates a dvd player and UKTV from a media player. All bedding and bath towels provided. It’s south facing aspect means it’s ideal for capturing the sun from dawn to dusk, perfect for the winter. The complex incorporates a stunning free-form swimming pool and has been improved for the 2016 season. It is complete with a BBQ and pool loungers for total relaxation. Ideally a car is recommended to view the surrounding area and is only a 20 minute drive from the airport from which cars can be hired.       Three bedroom 'upside down' detached villa in convenient village location just minutes drive from Paphos old town. The villa is beautifully presented and has air conditioning throughout.         Mansion house in Tremithousa – Paphos. “PETRINO” is a superb manor house placed in “Tremithousa”, at the outskirts of Paphos. A lovely village full of green tries ( “Tremithies”), out of which the village took its name. “Petrino” is situated only 3' away from the city, around 10' from the beach and about 15' away from one of the biggest golf clubs of Paphos, plus within 2' walk there is a park ideal for children. Even though “Petrino” is situated so closed to the city, the beach, the golf club, and the night life, it offers at the same time a lovely relaxing environment and enjoyable privacy.             Our two bedroom apartment - Anemona View - is on the edge of the village of Chlorakas. It is very comfortably furnished and offers air-conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. The master bedroom has a double bed, fully fitted wardrobes, dressing table with mirror, and a securely fixed electronic safe. En-suite facilities are also available. Bedroom 2 has twin beds with fully fitted wardrobes. The main bathroom is beautifully tiled, with bath and shower facilities, wc, and wash basin. The second bathroom is tastefully tiled and provides en-suite facilities to the master bedroom. It has a walk in shower, wc and vanity unit with wash basin. The large lounge/diner has a comfortable 3-seater sofa bed that provides a bed for a 5th person, plus a 2-seater sofa. A flat screen television, a DVD player with a wide range of both adult and child DVDs, an iPod/MP3 Dock, and Wii games console with a selection of games. A computer with FREE broadband internet and WiFi access, and a PAYG mobile phone are also provided. The dining area has a large dining table with seating for 6. The kitchen is fully fitted with ceramic hob, fan assisted oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster, full crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, clothes drier, and iron with ironing board. Our apartment is located in an elevated location with panoramic views to the Mediterranean, on the edge of the village of Chlorakas. It is a peaceful place yet only a few minutes by car from the main Paphos tourist areas and Coral Bay. Due to it's location at the top of a hill hiring a car is recommended. You will be able to park in the shade directly under the apartment. From there you can either take the marble stairs or the lift to the first floor where our apartment is located. There is plenty to see and do around Paphos and Cyprus. Below are some examples of places to go and things to do: GOLF There are 4 great courses all within 20-30 mins drive of our apartment. Minthis Hills, Secret Valley, Aphrodite Hills, and the most recent addition, Nick Faldo's Elea Estate Golf Course which opened in 2010. TROODOS MOUNTAINS The Troodos mountains are about 80 minutes drive away. They cover a large area in the centre of Cyprus with Mount Olympus being the highest point at 1952m. There aren't many places you can go where you can be skiing in the morning and on the beach in the afternoon. Between January and March skiing is available in the Troodos. DIVING Cyprus is a very popular dive destination and has several diving centres in and around Paphos and there are several dive schools in the area for both beginners and experts. WORLD HERITAGE LOCATIONS The Roman Mosaics by Paphos harbour, and the Tombs of the Kings are both world heritage sites. Neither are expensive and are worth a visit. WATER SPORTS The are all types of water sports around Paphos, including water-skiing, wind surfing, sailing, canoeing, pedalos, paragliding, banana boats, yachting, jet skiing, etc Paphos is also home to the largest water park in Cyprus, and the largest family rafting ride in Europe WINERIES Cyprus may not be well known for its wine, but there are many wineries on the island and the wine is generally very good. Many of which welcome visitors for tours and tastings.

The local supermarket stocks a full range of products, from local produce to Heinz Beans! Adjacent to the supermarket are several food outlets selling traditional Cypriot food, fresh fish and bread and also Emba Bazaar which we have nicknamed the 'knicker shop' where you can get everything from knickers, socks, shoes, clothes, household items to souvenirs. There are local Taverns/restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk of Emba village. The surrounding villages of Lempa, Chlorakas and Kissonerga also have a variety of local restaurants. Coral Bay is a few minutes drive away. Its high street is full of bars, restaurants and shops selling souvenirs, DVD's, leather goods and gifts. It has a character of its own and is full of life; it has crazy golf, amusements, dodgem cars for the young ones A few minutes drive further on, leads you to the sandy beach and water sports. Paphos main town and harbour are in the opposite direction, where facilities are abundant. Local shops are conveniently just a 2 minute walk away. Further afield is Latchi/Polis about 45 minutes drive, this is a beautiful fishing village with some lovely restaurants Pissouri Village, (which is back towards Limmasol) this again is a beautiful village with great views of the sea. We also found a lovely restaurant in Kato Paphos near to the Law Courts, stunning views of Paphos on an evening. Paphos Harbour is lovely day or night Tala Square is 5 minute drive away ( Left out of apartment at junc turn left follow rd about 2 miles Tala is on your right) Tala is quiet village with some lovely restaurants with some stunning views. In Emba you will find Maria's Taverna its very basic, but you will be made feel welcome by the locals, the food menu is limited but Maria is a great cook, grilled chicken Kababs in pitta bread with real chips!!!!!! It overlooks 2 stunning chapels For your 'Big Shop' the Carrefour on Polis Rd has everything you need When buying bread look out for the Bakeries there bread is beautiful the supermarkets tend to be dry If you want a special night there is a restaurant in Kissonerga 5 minute drive away ( drive through Emba village head for Lemba Its signposted from there) The restaurant is called Tweedies our friends Craig and Hilliary own it, beautiful food in a lovely setting. I am sure you will find your way around and find equally as good places to visit, this might help you on your way. When departing just leave all bedding & towels for our cleaner leaving the keys on the table when closing the door behind you. I am sure you find your way around and at times get a little lost. Always remember Polis rd will get you back to the apartment and Tomb of the Kings rd which runs alongside the coast will take you into Paphos Town Emba is a beautiful ancient historic village, with the 12th century church Panayia Chryseleoussis in the village square. Emba has a few shops and tavernas dotted along the narrow winding road that runs through the village. In the evening the local men can be seen sitting outside their local and often spilling out onto the narrow roads on their wooden chairs. Outstanding personalities of the village of Emba include the Bishop Anthimos of Irinoupolis (situated then in the Middle East) who was born at the village of Emba and died in 1791, Nikolas Solomonides who was the private secretary of the Dragoman of Cyprus Hadjigeorgakis Kornesios,but also a poet and an intellectual, his brother Andreas Solomonides who was a nobleman and was employed at the Ottoman Court (seraglio) in Nicosia and thus saved the church of Emba from being destroyed by the Ottomans, but also the villagers of Emba from paying taxes to them after 1821. They both lived during the end of the 18th century and early 19th century. Another outstanding personality from Emba was Father Christodoulos (1816), a great priest of the village. This apartment offers more than just location and somewhere to sleep. It has been tastefully designed with all the essentials you need. Cleanliness is the key feature you will find it immaculate throughout. On departure just leave towels and bed linen for our cleaner.

Village location just a few minutes drive to the sea. Few taverns to walk to but car recommended. Good base for exploring as is located between the Harbour and Coral Bay. Explore all of Paphos from here. Most places all within 30 minutes drive including golfing, churches, archaeological sites, beaches, and much more.                                                       The SpaceThe room is on the second floor of mama’s private house where she stays on the first floor. Her experience of running one of the oldest restaurants in the tourist area of Kato Paphos before her retirement makes her a great host, a friendly open minded person, and an excellent chef. She loves good company and at the same time she is very discreet. Guests could join in the family atmosphere on the first floor but at the same time could have full privacy on the second. With a bit of extra charge a guest could join in our daily house menu (or you could have a special request for a special meal). On the second floor there is also an inside sunny veranda with sunset view, where it could host 5 more people - supreme for big families. There is also a sitting / dinning room only for guests. Guest AccessGuests are able to use the common kitchen downstairs, living room upstairs and downstairs, all garden, and the sunny veranda upstairs if it is available and not rented out to other guests. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood, a traditional village near the sea has a historic, beautiful 12th century byzantine church with icons as well as other byzantine chapels scattered throughout the village. Empa (Greek: Έμπα) is one of the largest villages in Paphos, Cyprus. It is spread over a wide area and not only borders Paphos but also the villages of Chlorakas, Kissonerga, Tala, Tremithousa and Mesogi. It has a population of 4,500 people. The village already existed by the Byzantine era and it is known from the Frankish period with the same name. The 15th century Cypriot historian Leontios Machairas in his Chronicle, par. 129, mentions a visit of the King of Cyprus, Peter I, quoting "...and the king went hunting and reached Emba towards Paphos..." The appellation of the village is purely Greek, belonging to the Cypriot dialect. In this dialect Emba means "enter". It is possible that the name of the village was given because it is built at the entrance of Paphos, that is the edges of the city, through which the travelers from the north, northwest and west came in. In the community you can find the ancient church of Panayia Chryseleoussis. Built in the 12th Century in Byzantine Rhythm, it literally embellishes the village square. Almost all the walls in the interior of the church are covered with murals. Certain of them are priceless for their religious and historical value, such as that of Pantokratoros and that of Saint George that are next to the pulpit and which date from around the 13th century. Also to be appreciated is the fretworked gold plated iconostasis from the 16th of century which is adorned with ancient pictures of Jesus, the Virgin Mary and Saint John Precursor. In the church is also found a gospel from the 16th century, which was printed in Venice. Thousands of tourists visit the church each year to admire its architecture and the wonders it contains. There are also a number of chapels in Emba such as the Byzantine chapel decicated to Saint George (in the vicinity of Petridia),the cave chapel of Saint Limbros (also at Petridia), and the new chapel dedicated to Saint Charalambos. Recently a new church was constructed near the old one; it was dedicated to the apostle Andreas (St. Andrew) and on his name day, 30 November, a religious festival is held on the church grounds. Apart from this very new church there are also many small chapels scattered around the rest of the village. Emba has a few shops and tavernas dotted along the narrow winding road that runs through the village. In the evening the local men can be seen sitting outside their local and often spilling out onto the narrow roads on their wooden chairs. Getting AroundThe public bus that runs through Empa, no 604, starts from St Neophytos Monastery (10 minutes away), excavated through rock by the saint, and an imprtant place to visit, and ends in the centre of Paphos (10 minutes away aswel at 1.50 euro a ride), and to all other bus connections throughout Paphos and other cities.
