I live in a beautiful Modern 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom one level Townhouse, which is only 500 metres to the Beach. The room is light and bright and overlooks a leafy courtyard. There is a separate bathroom with bath and shower recess. It is also has a separate toilet I have 2 well-behaved cats who love company. The home has an Open Plan kitchen/lounge/dining area is surrounded by large windows looking out into the courtyard. There is reverse cycle climate control unit which makes summers cool and winters warm. The local strip of shops has several Coffee Shops, Restaurants Mexican, Indian, Thai, Italian Pizzaria, Fish & Chips Shop and BBQ Chicken Shop, Bakery. Also boutiques, gift shops and newsagent. Train Station is only a 8 minute walk away and a 2 minute walk to bus stop.

    The SpaceLarge sun filled self contained former art studio with pleasant garden views and a nice vantage point from which to watch and feed the native birds. Total privacy to come and go as you please through the side access gate. Please see my other listing for entry, location in the garden and the OUTSIDE toilet and bathroom which is solely for the use of the occupants of The Studio. The toilet and bathroom are approximately 14 paces away from the studio. The Studio is the brick building opposite the Garden Bungalow with Possums......the Possums often scamper over the studio roof too to give you bumps in the night. Both Ring Tailed and Brush Tailed Possums come here. It has a LCD flat screen TV and video/DVD player. A good supply of books and maps of the area. There is a bar fridge and a two ring hob top for your use. There is also a rice cooker and a slow cooker and a microwave oven. Those are the only cooking facilities.. There is a laundrette in the village. There is a settee, huge king sized bed wardrobe and everything you need for your comfort. The dual action air conditioner and heating has just been fitted and is working beautifully since the 16th February. The train station is a gentle 5 minute walk away as is the bus stop. Parkdale is on the Frankstone line with direct access to the city and beyond. Parkdale village is 5 minute walk away and has everything for your daily needs. Restaurants, coffee shops, a bank and a Post Office, chemists and doctors.....we even have an excellent library. All your aches and pains can also be sorted within a 5 minute walk. Wifi is now fully available to the studio guests. My place is lovely and gentle. You can stop and have a chat at the end of your day or you can have total privacy. I have spent 20 years visiting Australia from my English homeland and know my way round most of the Victorian tourist attractions. Parking on the quiet road. The home made marmalade is delicious. Both kumquat and orange for your breakfast! (will have to wait for the new batch!) Basics for your first few days will be provided and maybe a few little extras! Henry my black Labrador lives here too....he is a Delta Service dog so is kind and gentle like his surroundings. Smoking is allowed but I would prefer you to do so outside. There is a private patio area round the back of the studio or at the front under cover. Either place you are welcome! The garden is superb for children, there are swings to swing, up side down or otherwise, there is grass to play on and a dog who loves nothing more than to be patted and fussed over. Guest AccessGuest have access through the main double white gates. The back garden has private outdoor seating located by the back door of the studio. The mauve table and chairs in the centre of the garden you are welcome to use too.....and the seating area under cover by the main house. You are welcome to smoked anywhere outside with due consideration to other guests who may also be booked in. Interaction with GuestsI am quite well up on what's on in my area and will be happy to help you find exciting and unusual places to visit. The NeighborhoodParkdale is a lovely little community on Port Philip Bay. The walk to the beach take approximately 10 minutes at a slow pace....slightly longer on the way back as it is a gentle uphill walk. The village has many cafe's and restaurants where you can get anything from a curry to a Peruvian Pancake and the most delicious Latte` in the world at the Station Stop Café. Getting AroundThe studio is within a 6 minute walk of the mainline train station, the Frankston Line which takes you direct to the city and beyond to Southern Cross Station. Right outside the station is a bus stop. The buses will take you to a bus station at Southlands. From there you can go wherever your heart desires. Other Things to NoteHenry and Barbara live here. Barbara feeds Henry and if you feed Henry he will be your friend for life.....and every time you open the door, he will be there waiting for you.....and he knows about the back door! So please don't feed him.... He will love you just as much if you just smile at him and give him a pat. Yes he will eat pickled onions and yes they can kill him......love chocolate and that can kill him too. Please don't!

The Guest Room has a separate Bathroom which has a bath and shower. There is also a private toilet. The Bedroom is quiet, bright and sunny and looks out into a lovely courtyard. The courtyard can be used to relax with a book or just lounge in a chair to soak up the sun. There is also hanging space in Built-in wardrobes. Wi-fi available on request - Please advise if you wish to use service other than for communicating e.g. emails, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) as I have limited service. Interaction with GuestsI love to interact with my guests as I am very friendly and outgoing. If you haven't visited Melbourne before I can recommend great places to go to. I also can provide discount vouchers for some venues, eg Peninsula Hot Springs. Maps etc and any other information on places to visit while in Melbourne are provided. As I only work a few hours a week i am home most times during the day. I have 2 friendly cats, one is a Beautiful Ragdoll appropriately named Bella and a Tabby named Daisy. They love company and a pat. As I am an Entertainer/Singer, I enjoy going out to listen to Live music so you can tag along if you wish. The NeighborhoodThis is a unique and quiet neighbourhood has a lovely strip of shops with lots of cafes, various restaurants (Indian, Thai, Mexican, Pizza, BBQ Chicken and Fish & Chip Shop) close by. Lovely boutiques, hairdressing and gift shops. The beach has a walking track that takes you along the Bay, with great scenery. Westfield Shopping Centre, Cheltenham (Southland) has Cinemas, Myers, David Jones and many more fabulous shops. The Mornington Peninsula and Red Hill wineries are approximately a 1/2 to 3/4 hour drive away. The Peninsula Hot Springs approx. 40 minutes drive away. HOW TO GET TO MY HOME IN PARKDALE: Melbourne Airport - Catch the Red Airport Bus to Southern Cross Station in the City which will take about 20 minutes. Then catch a Frankston Line Train to Parkdale - 35 minutes from Station. YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A MYKI CARD TO USE FOR TRAIN TRAVEL (This is also used for any Metropolitan Bus or Tram travel during your stay). Airport to my home should take about 75 minutes in total, excluding time between Bus and Train. I am happy to pick you up at Parkdale Station if you wish. Let me know your arrival at the Airport time for an estimated time of arrival at Parkdale Station! You are also welcome to store any snacks etc. in the Fridge. The Train Station is only 8 min. walk away which takes you to the City of Melbourne in 40 minutes. If arriving by Aeroplane guests can catch the Red Airport Bus to the City (Southern Cross Station) and then catch a Frankston Line train to Parkdale Station. I am only a 8 min walk from the stationAlternatively there is also a Frankston Red Airport Bus that services anyone who wants to travel along Nepean Highway. This is approx $32.00 from Airport to Parkdale Motel, Mentone. I could then pick you up from there which is a 6 minute drive from my home. If you prefer I can pick you up at the Parkdale Station if you choose to come by trainYou need to buy a MYKI Card at the Station which covers any train, tram or bus travel. Total travel time Airport to Parkdale is approx. 1 hr 15 minutes by Airport Bus & Train (not allowing for any delays) Other Things to NoteWi-fi available for Free only if using for personal use - NOT for downloading programs/movies. If use will be for business then a small fee can be negotiated. Free use of washing machine/washing powder is also available, if required, for those on a longer stay.     My partner and I are a very laid back, easy going and friendly couple who enjoy the outdoors. We have no kids and enjoy the occasional barbecue with friends. Our house is located in a quiet court next to a park. The area is very safe and accessible to public transport, convenience store, restaurants and markets. The guest area has two bedrooms able to accomodate two single beds and a dining/kitchen area and its own bathroom and bathroom. The house has a ducted heating and air conditioning. Guests have their own entrance which affords them privacy and freedom to come and go at any time of the day. Wi Fi is available for a minimal fee.

    The SpaceThe Garden Bungalow with the Possums is fully self contained and en suite. Separate weatherboard bungalow in my lovely garden. Totally private, own access with parking only on the quiet road; fresh flowers or fresh fruit and fresh sheets. The garden bungalow has a new queen sized bed and a bed settee and a easy chair.. There is Wifi internet access for my guests at no extra charge. There is a flat screen TV and video/dvd player. Next to the main room is a simple but functional small kitchen which has a hob, fridge, kettle and toaster and a microwave oven. Basics for your arrival for a breakfast are always provided along with tea, coffee, milk and sugar and of course a fruit bowl. I usually put a few extras in for your first few days. There is also a table and three chairs. A slow 10 minute amble down the road takes you to the safe swimming beach on Mentone Bay where there is a small nice cafe and barbie facilites. A 5 minute walk takes you to the main line railway station at Parkdale for trains to the city which is approx 40 minute ride away. The bus stop is next to the station. Parkdale village has many cafe`s and shops. It even has night time restaurants, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Italian and European, a fish and chip shop and a brand new pizza cafe has just opened and a Post Office, a very good library, helpful chemist, bottle shop, friendly Bank, three trendy boutiques, a laundrette for your clothes wash, dry cleaners and a man to sort out your aches and pains. And an OP shop! Woolies is also close enough to walk to. The coffee (and cakes) in Parkdale is excellent and the service is always friendly. Mordialloc is a 30 minute walk in one direction and Mentone 30 minute walk the other way. This is a lovely area and a good central place for exploring towards the Mornington Peninsular, Yarra Valley and the city. Parkdale is on the Frankstone Rail Line. There is seating in the garden for you to enjoy the open air. Henry my black Labrador dog lives here too. He never bites and never barks and is always delighted with your company. He is a gem! Henry and I are now a qualified Delta Service dog team.. Check in time is always flexible. If you are flying in to Australia then doubtless you would want immediate check in and so it shall be subject to the bungalow being free the night before. Check out however has to be 11 am if I have bookings due to arrive the same day to enable me to completely clean. However if no one booked in on that day, I am always happy to be flexible and accommodate you. Smoking is allowed on the property but I prefer you not to do so inside. There is seating just outside and there is seating undercover by the main house. Parking is on the quiet road. Not in my driveway though, that has to be kept clear for my personal use. Come and be welcomed! Guest AccessGuests have access to all the seating in the garden, together with guests from the studio. However if you prefer privacy then they can have that in abundance too....the bungalow is a peaceful place. Getting AroundThe main line railway station is a 5 minute walk from the bungalow. The Frankston line is a direct line to the city and trains run every 20 mins usually stopping at all stations. next to the railway station is the bus stop. both very convenient

Within walking distance you can find convenience stores, groceries, a post office, hairdressers, bottle shops, a myriad of food outlets and discount designer clothes shopping! A number of recreational facilities are also a stone's throw away - yoga - gym and public swimming pool - tennis club - numerous parks and playgrounds Melbourne's world famous 'sandbelt' golf courses, beaches and yacht clubs are just a short drive. Nearby Mordialloc is brimming with funky cafes and bars, perfect for a cruisey weekend close to home. Here you can also find a small wholefoods store and an organic meat store. Even if you're looking for something unique our Op Shop can cater for that too. With the essential post office newsagents, dryleaners, laundromat, supermarket and bottleshop, there is nothing we do not have. With loads of fitness facilities close by from Parkdale Yacht Club to Mentone Lifesaving Club, there is also tennis courts, swimming pools, gyms, athletic, football and soccer fields. The NeighborhoodParkdale is a beautiful, charming and friendly neighbourhood. Station Stop Café located on Como Parade (adjacent to the railway line) has the BEST coffee around. There is a great choice of meals out, wood-fired pizza & pasta (try the Chocolate Pizza, yum!), charcoal chicken, fish & chips, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, bakery, supermarket, bottle shop, pharmacy, and heaps of cafes...lots to enjoy. Getting AroundTrain station and buses only 2 mins walk from the property. Very easy getting into Melbourne CBD by train (30-45 mins), much easier than taking a car or catching a cab. A beautiful area to walk around too!

Getting AroundParkdale train station is a 10 minute walk from this apartment. From there you can travel into Melbourne city centre. It is a 40 minute train ride from Parkdale. Trains run regularly throughout the day and into the evening. Trains either Mentone or Parkdale station, both similar walking distance of approx 15 mins. Getting AroundMentone and Parkdale train stations a short walk, numerous buses to and from stations, short bus ride to Southland shopping centre in neighbouring area. Stocked Pantry: The double door pantry, packed with all the essentials, means you won't have to start your shopping from scratch when you arrive. Kids Time: Kids can get quickly settled with a huge range of toys, books, board games, and video games. There's plenty of fun to be had outside too, with a trampoline, climbing bar area, sandpit and sweet outdoor children's setting. Parents Time: Parents can enjoy a relaxing drink outside on the verandah, watching the kids play, or can safely watch them from the lounge and dining areas. Take time to just relax in the luxurious ensuite bathroom with wall-to-floor large tiles, underfloor heating and waterfall shower. Active Time: Ride a bike.     My place is close to shops and parks. It is a 15 min walk from Mentone train station and approx a 30 min walk to the beach. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the kitchen and pool (in Summer) . My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
