Guest AccessHiking, biking, maple sugar houses, yoga classes, swimming, Bethel Woods Performing Arts, Catskill Brewery, Prohibition Vodka Distillery, sightseeing, Rails to Trails Interaction with GuestsThere are no other guests at the Inn when you book! Our residence and our restaurant/art gallery are adjacent to the Inn. Whenever you would like to chat with us, we are available, but we believe in your privacy. We give you the key and we don't enter the Inn for cleaning or anything else during your stay. We want you to feel at home at the Inn as though it was your own house. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is the little hamlet of Parksville. This hamlet was thriving when the O & W Railroad ran through it, but had an economic downturn since then. But there is now a music venue called Cabernet Frank's, and there will soon be an antiques auction house on Main Street. It looks a little like a ghost town, but is very walkable and fun to see the historical corner pharmacy where Steven King filmed a scene for his HBO movie "Bag of Bones," and there is a serene 2.5 mile Rail Trail along the river. Not a long drive west from Parksville is lovely Livingston Manor with interesting shops, a bakery, a brewery, a local grocery store, and a beautiful school on the river that runs through. And 5 miles distance are all amenities like grocery, hardware, bank, liquor store, tailor, pet supplies, etc. Getting AroundThere is a Shortline bus that comes right to Parksville. However, we recommend driving because the sightseeing is worthwhile by car.
