The SpaceSeparate living quarters on Two Dog Ranch. We offer an affordable getaway with clean and comfortable accommodations Please follow the directions that are enclosed on this website. If you are coming from Steamboat (US 40), please go thru Kremmling, rather than taking the shortcut. 3 separate rooms - approx 650 total square feet Two sets of bunk beds - size Full and Twin with all linens included Brand new bathroom with 2 sinks and separate hot shower DISH satellite with big screen TV, and surround sound stereo, big couches, microwave, coffee pot and mini fridge We do not have a Kitchen in the Bunk House. However, there is camping type cooking gear in the storage area, behind the bunkhouse. Propane grill, propane camping stove, various pots and pans. This is not a kitchen, but will be fine if you want to make a simple meal. You can also grill out over the camp fire ring. There are two types of grills to chose from for your campfire meal. Just start the campfire with the stack of logs and enjoy your meal. Metal cooking sticks are hanging from a hook on the outside wood rack. Use to cook S'mores or hot dogs. The stargazing is awesome. Two hours past sunset is the start of the show. You can see comets, shooting stars and a great view of the Milky Way. Hot tub is now on lower deck of main house. You are welcome to use the tub, but when done, please put the cover back on. Please use the towels in the Bunkhouse. There is a lever for air and a button for the Jets and lights. Please put covers back on hot tub, so it can warm up again. The water heater makes funny noises at night, so do not be alarmed. Just a few loud clunks. Our property backs up to over 10,000 acres of public land. Amazing views of the mountains and stars at night. Pull up a chair on the front porch and enjoy the views. You can build a Campfire at night - fire making materials are below the microwave in the cabinet. Plenty of pre cut wood to use. Sit on the rocks or stumps that surround the fire, or take a chair from the front porch to sit by the fire. Hot water is provided by an "Instant On" hot water heater. It gets hot, but not super hot. When you shower, you can close the door to the shower and the steam will quickly build, to provide a steam shower. Guest AccessYou will sleep and keep all your stuff in the Bunkhouse. Feel free to walk around the property, but if you open a gate, please close it. During the summer and fall, there might also be an electric fence. Please do not turn off the fence and do not touch it. Believe me, it hurts when touched. You can also have a campfire with the wood provided in out door firewood rack. Please let us know if you want to have S'mores over the campfire. Julie has the supplies needed for a great evening snack. Metal roasting sticks are outside, hanging on the firewood holder. There are also a few fire starting bricks to help get the fire going. After you are done with the fire, please dose the fire with the bucket of water that is near the log rack. Smokey the Bear will thank you. Interaction with GuestsWe will check you in and explain the items with the Bunkhouse - after that, you are free to explore or just hang out. Experience the old west as it was and still is as you pass through working ranches that were homestead on the early 1900's their weathered log cabins can still be seen and are often still in use, others are close enough for a great photo opportunity. Colorado's open range law permits ranchers to graze their cattle without boarders so you will often find them on the roadways or you may even get caught up in a cattle drive as the ranchers move cattle from one pasture or paddock to another. Spring brings all the calves and branding time! Observing the rancher, his horse and dog working together is a real treat. Look along the sides of the road for sage grouse, in the open fields for pronghorn, down in the willows and streams for the bull moose, in the trees for the mule deer and on top of the ridge lines for the elk. There are also bald eagle and osprey nests, alpacas, horses and sheep, All this just on the ride into Williams Fork Lodging! Our place sits above all this at the end of the road and adjacent to public lands tucked beneath Copper Peak on the Williams fork range. Our elevation is roughly 8,600 feet. The view is breath taking, it's 180' takes in three mountain ranges many peaks, pastures, forest, ponds, the sun rise, as well as being one of the best places to be for a full moon or if you prefer the stars our view of the Milky Way is unobstructed and has no light pollution for outstanding celestial shows. Meter showers are spectacular from the hot tub. We live on the same property and are quite self sustainable, hunting, gardening, gathering wild berries and raising our own poultry meat. The guest house is constructed of concrete and rock this as well as high efficiency windows and takes full advantage of passive solar heat, backup heat and the hot water are then provided by wood via an out side boiler maintained by us. You are greeted with fresh eggs from our chickens. Dale offers fresh baked carmel rolls and other breads. We also have discounted passes to the hot springs!

Dale offers fresh baked caramel rolls and other breads. We also have discounted passes to the hot springs! Every season has it's own special beauty, spring brings abundant wild flowers, contrasting greens of the pine, aspen and sage. New born livestock and wild life, thunderstorms and brilliant double rainbows. birds singing, chickens crowing and total silence are welcomed in summer. Our view of the fall colors are hard to match, the changing yellow, gold and reds quaking in the valley are quite beautiful. Winter white snow untouched by human and cobalt blue sky's are post card perfect and right out your window. You may get the feeling you'll be snowed in for months but not to worry as Greg is most likely already out plowing for your safety and convenience. Our guest house can be rented as one unit with 2 queen-size bedrooms, 1 king bedroom and additional beds for up to 8, people or as a single unit with one queen bed room with additional sleeping areas. We allow dogs too! We have a doggie door to a six-foot tall kennel run out of one of the bedrooms

The private master suite has a private bath, deck and small reading loft with views of the surrounding mountains and the pristine Green Mountain Reservoir. The massive deck and windows are spectacular for taking in the sun, views and wildlife watching. Enjoy the evening by the toasty fireplace or soaking in the hot tub while star gazing. Hot tub will be available by request and an additional fee. Heeney lies on the banks of the Green Mountain Reservoir and is the smallest, sleepiest Summit County 'town' with a year round population of approximately 65. The town is at the lowest most northern end of the county and is often forgotten, but not by the outdoor enthusiasts. The reservoir, unlike Lake Dillon, allows for water sports and snowmobiling. So, Heeney is a common destination for sport lovers, whether they are windsurfers, jet skiers, water skiers, wake boarders, fishermen or the occasional cliff jumper. Enjoy watching the moods of the lake change with the weather and the seasons. Winter has its incredible beauty when the lake is frozen and the snowmobiles are off and running. Ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and hunting are a few other favorites for winter fun, but sitting by a roaring fire with gorgeous lake view and mountain views are a personal favorite to many. The pristine mountain lake takes on a whole different feel in the summer when the leisure time is filled with wakeboarding, tubing, skiing, and fishing. The wind surfers and even the cliff jumpers make an appearance now and then. Heeney rests at about 8,000 feet above sea level and is nestled between Green Mountain Reservoir and the Gore and Williams Peak mountain ranges. This modest community is only about 30- 40 minutes to Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin and offers a unique change of venue from the nearby resorts of Summit County. There is little commercial development surrounding the reservoir, but you will find a small marina offering boat rentals, a boat launch and a bait and tackle shop. Cattle still graze the beautiful mountains surrounding the lake, and the pace of life is still that of a sleepy, little lake side village. You can expect to encounter deer, elk, bear, a bald eagle family and an occasional fox along the scenic drive into Heeney. Experience the hospitality and warm welcome that are an instinctive part of the unique little community. Come see for yourself and enjoy a taste of true tranquility which is so quickly disappearing in today’s hectic world. This is more than a vacation rental; it will become your family’s favorite playground as it is ours. Keywords: Cabin
