Guest AccessGuests will have access to the whole house except our master bedroom. Guest room is at the back of the house, sharing walls with the shared bathroom and the cosy living room with super comfortable sofa and fireplace, rocking chairs for tea or reading time. Kitchen and large living room, work space in our big "hall" room with lots of light and windows facing our lush and green garden. Interaction with GuestsWe travel quite a lot, especially weekends, but we´ll be available on phone and email if we´re not here. If we´re home, you´ll have as much interaction as you like and Quetzal who is from the state of Michoacan can give you any advice you may need and help you solve any issues you might have with spanish or other concerns. I, Liv, have lived here 6 months now so I can give you lots of inside tips as well and speak Norwegian, Swedish, English, French and am working on my Spanish which is at intermediate level at the moment. We are a very peaceful couple so we´ll leave level of interaction up to our guests. We have full respect for privacy and quiet time after long days of sightseeing downtown. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood, Nogales, is an upscale area of town. There are police patrols circling around 24/7 so it´s very safe here. There are no barking street dogs or music from bars etc so you´re guaranteed to get peaceful sleep compared to many places downtown. Getting AroundWe take the local "combis"/mini buses downtown for 7 pesos (0,50 USD), they leave all the time from across the street outside the big Bodega Aurera (Walmart) grocery store. It takes less than 5 minutes and is an adventure by itself, people are always so friendly on the bus. Taxis are always available at the same place. If you drive yourself, you´ll easily find parking downtown though the traffic can be quite slow especially in the rush hours 3-6 pm. If you´re of the sporty kind, it will take you 15-20 min to walk downtown uphill through an interesting street. Other Things to NoteWe have safe parking inside our gate for 2 cars. Grocery stores and 24/7 open Guadalajara pharmacy with some groceries, wine and beer is 2 min walk from our house.
