Once you have settled in to your charming cottage overlooking the pool and riding ring, you can venture out to explore, or just pull up a lounge chair on the patio, relax, and take in the views. For the more adventurous among you, head out and explore the many acres available for your enjoyment. Some of the sights you might see while exploring the farm; A hawk soaring high above the horses that graze quietly in fields, a group of hikers making their way on the Appalachian trail, a local farmer tilling his fields, a sparkling star filled night sky, you might even see a basket of beautiful blue eggs if you head down to the hen house! If you do venture down to see the animals, be sure to check out the huge garden located behind the horse barn.
Activities available on the farm and in the area: Hiking, walking, star gazing, bird watching, picking wild flowers, x-country skiing, snow shoeing, swimming, gathering around the fire pit, toasting marshmallows, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, clay shooting, bird hunting, fly fishing, down hill skiing, antiquing, flea markets, farmers markets, fine and casual dining, tennis, golf, biking.
The cottage itself, newly decorated, boasts cathedral ceilings in the living area, a gas fireplace, queen size pull out couch, and french doors opening out to the patio. The kitchen is totally equipped with a large refrigerator , a cook top stove, dishwasher, and all of the amenities needed to prepare your meals. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with new plush mattress, built in dresser, french doors to the patio, and access to the full bath & laundry room. Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with two twin beds and closet space. The bathroom on the main level has duel entries from the hall and the master bedroom to allow for privacy. The patio spans the entire rear of the cottage and overlooks the pool and riding ring, with westward views of the hills, and spectacular sunsets.
Come for a week...come for a month...either way you wont want to leave Hawk Haven Farm. A country setting where nature and hospitality are plentiful and life is good! Guest AccessThe cottage, pool, patio, and fenced yard are exclusively for use of guests at the farm. There is only one guest at the farm at any given time, all amenities are for the exclusive use of that guest during their stay. The NeighborhoodPrivate, estate area. Getting AroundTown, shopping and restaurants, are just a few miles from the house but a vehicle is pretty much a necessity. For hikers, The Appalachian Trail crosses through property, ans The Pawling Nature Reserve (2000) acres abuts the property as well. Other Things to NoteRental Fees:
Winter: Nov 1 to March 31 - $235/night $1650/week $5000/month
Spring: April 1 to June 30 - $300/night $2100/week $7500/month
Summer: July 1 to August 31 - $350/night $2450/week $8250/month
Fall: Sep 1 to Oct 31 - $325/night $2275/week $7500/month
Payment by personal check, pay-pal, or credit card (Visa/Master Card) . A $500 non refundable deposit is required at time of booking, 50% of the rental fee is due 3 mos prior to arrival date, and the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival date. (As per lease agreement which you will sign)
*There will be a 1.5% fee charged to swipe a credit card and a 3.5% fee charged to "key in" a credit card*
There is a $500 refundable security deposit required. This fee can be placed on a credit card upon arrival or you may send a check in advance. Fees will be refunded once you have checked-out, and no damage has been incurred to the property.
This property is available for long term rental as well, with a 6 month minimum lease. The long term rental fee is $3,500 per month. That includes the fully furnished/fully outfitted cottage, electricity, heat, central AC, & cable TV w/premium channels.
