The SpaceRenovated, 2 bedroom, second floor apartment. Previous full time rental, converted into a private guest / yoga studio space. I live and work on the first floor and teach workshops upstairs when not renting the space out to guests. The apartment uses the back entrance and is separate from the first floor. Both entrance and parking to the apartment space is actually on Suffolk Ave. which is located at the back of the house. Primary guest room accommodates two with a real bed and a new luxury mattress. (Closet and dresser space is available) Large shower/bath. ( I provide towels ) Private use of galley kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need; pantry basics, dishes - pots and pans, microwave, blender etc. Coffee / tea, breakfast foods and snacks available. Wireless internet, basic TV (Major networks and local channels) and DVD player. The space is a two bedroom apartment. When the extra bedroom is needed I set up a high rise luxury queen size air mattress topped with memory foam for extra comfort. (Many guests have said this is as comfortable as a real bed) I can also set up additional air mattresses in the large living room space for family's and big groups. Please note that the living room area is used as a yoga studio when not renting so the furniture has to be minimal and moveable. There is plenty of seating available including a yogabo couch, which is very comfortable but sits on the floor, a folding recliner, back-jacks, meditation cushions, folding chairs and stools. I do request at least a two day booking when setting up extra beds as set up, break down, clean up and overhead increases greatly. I have found this to be too much extra work for just a one day stay. The fee for extra people covers my time and extra overhead. When booking, please let me know if you are couples staying two in a bed or if you need a bed set up for each individual. I may be able to offer you a discounted rate for couples staying more then 2 nights as the set up is easier. Kids are welcome as long as they are quiet (I work down stairs with clients who come to relax!) The extra $30 per person fee does apply to children as well as adults. I have let children stay for free in the past and have found that childproofing and clean up after kids have visited takes a lot more effort and time. I am always willing to discuss certain situations and negotiate fees appropriately. Amenities for extra bedding include: 2 high profile (high quality with baffles) queen size air mattresses that I pad with a futon or memory foam for extra comfort. I also have a queen and single low profile air mattresses suitable for kids. Read or relax in the fenced in private patio with gardens in summer. Fully equipped yoga space if you wish to practice. There is also a TV and a movable bean bag couch in the living room/yoga space. I have pets but they are not allowed in the second floor space so it is allergen free. Sorry, no guest pets allowed. Absolutely no smoking as well. I would appreciate it if you don't move furniture around or if you do please put everything back as you found it. Monthly/long term fee is negotiable depending on the circumstance. Please contact me and we can discuss a special offer. I may also be available to share yoga practice or book a shiatsu, massage or bodywork / coaching session in my first floor office. The space is available for teaching workshops as well as housing workshop guests. I am located 1 mile off of route 95, 10 minutes north of Providence, RI. It is a 45 minute drive east to Newport, RI and less then an hour drive, or train ride, north to Boston, Ma. It is 1 mile down the street to the South Attleboro train station and I am also on the local bus line. (Check RIPTA for schedule) The town park (Slater Park) is less then 1 mile away with walking and bike trail, paddle boats and carousel for kids. Also close to pubs, restaurants and grocery. RI visitor center is located in down town Pawtucket, 3 miles away. Check out the guidebook for other local attractions. Guest AccessThe access to the second floor is in the back of the house located on Suffolk Ave. The apartment is totally private during your stay. Interaction with GuestsI interact as wanted and needed. Every situation is different and I want each guest to get the most out of their stay. Most days I am downstairs in my living space or working with clients in my home based office. The NeighborhoodI am walking distance to restaurants, markets, pubs, drugstores and park. Located 5 miles north of Providence. Getting AroundI am one mile away from the South Attleboro train station with easy access to the commuter train to Boston. Also on the local bus line. Please check RIPTA for bus schedules.

The SpaceEveryone describes our house as "charming" and "cute." And we would agree :) It's perfect for a family or a couple. It is the first home that we've owned and we're just getting settled. Because we live here (almost) all of the time, the space is fully equipped with everything you could need - kitchen appliances, cookware, eat ware, sheets, towels, toiletries, coffee, tea, spices, etc. You are also welcome to our grill out back during warmer weather. We have wireless internet and cable for you to enjoy. Washer and dryer in the basement. We have one bedroom with a queen bed, one bedroom with a full bed, and one bedroom that is used as an office, but we have an extra twin matrress and a queen-sized airbed that fit in the room if more beds are needed. 1300+ square feet of living space. Off-street parking for 2 cars, plus free on-street parking. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all rooms except the office (unless you need more than 2 bedrooms, in which case we will happily setup the office as a third bedroom). Select closets and storage spaces are off limits. Interaction with GuestsWe are able to meet you for check-in and check-out, or can leave you a key depending on your arrival/departure schedule. We will not be present during your stay, but will be nearby if you need anything! The NeighborhoodOur home is located in the Oak Hill neighborhood, near the Providence/East Side border. It is within walking distance to Lippitt Park, which offers a great farmer's market on Saturdays during the summer. Also walkable to several coffee shops and restaurants on Hope Street/East Ave. India Restaurant, Three Sisters Cafe, and Antonio's Pizza are amongst our favorites! Nearby Blackstone Boulevard is also a great spot for walking, running, or biking. Getting AroundShort walk to two bus lines, which bring you to Brown University, RISD, Thayer Street, and downtown Providence. Easy access to the highway by car. Uber and Lyft are also available in the neighborhood for quick transit ($6-8 ride to downtown). Other Things to NoteWe have a small dog who lives with us, but she won't be present during your stay. She sheds very minimally and is not allowed in our bedrooms or bathroom. We keep our house very clean, but something to know if you have dog allergies. Also, we recently updated our kitchen cabinets (now off white) and will soon have new countertops and kitchen floors. Excuse the discrepancy. New photos to follow! If there is anything in particular that you will need for your stay, just let us know! We're also happy to provide suggestions for activities and dining options.

The Space*** There is now a new mattress and created a 'sitting room' to respond to feedback. *** This is a hidden gem of Pawtucket. An 1828 federal style house, it was lucky to have an owner who ardently pursued preserving the history of the city. As a result, the house is a beautiful collection of the past, from the wallpaper to the furniture. It hosts a large yard to relax in, a unique kitchen and that warm comfy feeling you get when surrounded by history. Guest AccessWe lock the 'museum' portion of the house. Accessible area still is furnished and decorated with preserved pieces. Interaction with GuestsWe sporadically have programming (such as a knitting circle or garden party) at the house, which you are welcome to attend. We offer a brief tour if desired. The NeighborhoodPawtucket is rich in history! -Walking distance to Slater Mill (the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution!) -Insanely unique architecture! Walk around the neighborhood. Nestled in with the contemporary are beautiful historic mansions. The street itself on the Historic Register as a complete surviving nineteenth century residential neighborhood - Walking distance to McCoy stadium, one of the oldest AAA stadiums in operation and also home to the famous 33 inning game -The Blackstone Bike Path is easily accessible. -Blackstone River Explorer runs on the weekends Getting AroundBuses run intermittently. Biking distance to Providence. (15 min.) Walking distance to: -Hope Street, which has several shops and restaurants (20 min.) -Downtown train station (1 hr.) -Downtown bus station (5 min.) -Amtrak commuter rail (1 hr.) -Grocery Store (15 min.) Other Things to NoteWith this house you get a built in tour guide! Not only are we in love with Pawtucket, and happy to share tips and history with you, you are walking distance to the Visitors Center and Blackstone Valley Tourism Council, both of whom are valuable assets to making your trip memorable.

The SpaceThis is a nice, comfortable and very spacious three story family home. We like it. It would be a great for a large family or two/three families who want to stay together. The two queen beds are only a year old, new frames and mattresses and are very comfortable, especially if you like your bed a little firm (one's firmer, one has a softer pillow top). The bunk beds are kids' beds. We parents sometimes sleep in them when we have a lot of guests. We find the bunks pretty comfy for us adults as well as kids. We list the house sleeping 10. That's four people in two nice Queen beds, four people in single bunk beds, and two people on a foam futon on the floor in a room off of the master bedroom (our TV room) that does not have a door that closes. So no real privacy for the master queen bed or the double/queen futon if both are occupied. If you want privacy for both queen beds that limits you to 8 people total sleeping. On the other hand the third floor master suite is huge and if privacy is no issue you could easily even add a few more people on camping mats in the space where the Queen bed is (we have a few hiking mats) on the carpeted floors. Things to be aware of: the stairs to the third floor are a bit narrow, hold the railing. Probably not a great unsupervised staircase for the elderly or the very young. It's a very quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors. We have a grill and you are welcome to use it and hang out outside with your family(s) but we cannot allow any parties or activities that produce loud sound that travels to our neighbor's houses after 9PM. This is not a hotel, it's a family home of moderate means. That means we have a couple pieces of thirty to forty year old furniture that are comfortable but not in great shape. Holes in the leather/upholstery. There is kid art on the walls and odd things attached to the walls in the kids' rooms. The bedding looks different in each room. There's some crab grass in the lawn and our landscaping is still kind of bare bones (we moved here only two years ago). The house has vinyl siding. Our nick knacks are around. Some little things are broken, such as the light over the stove. And there is a cat (very very friendly). Guest AccessYou can use the entire house including laundry, grill, swing set, toys. There's no real reason to go to the basement but you can. We have rarely tripped a circuit breaker but the board is down in the basement. Probably stay out of the garage, it's just a crowded hazard. Interaction with GuestsWe won't really be available while you are here for graduation weekend because we will be camping and may not have cell phone service. There will be contact info for people to reach in emergencies but we won't be able to offer any concierge services during your stay. We will leave detailed information. The NeighborhoodCalm, safe, pretty residential neighborhood with really good Indian, Japanese, vegetarian vegan, avant garde american and wurst restaraunts, great bakery, pan-asian tapas place, italian comfort food, great ice cream, cafes, etc all 5 to 10 minutes walk away. Nice big park with great playground 3 or 4 minute walk away. Smaller playground with great features and toys for younger kids (and kids up to about 8) is 1 minute walk away. Getting AroundEasy public transit bus stop is 3 or 4 minute walk away. It goes to Brown, RISD and downtown in 10 to 15 minutes. $2/ride. Runs every 10 to 15 minutes depending on time of day. Two parking spaces on our property. You are not allowed to park overnight on the street on the East Side in Providence without permission. It should be possible to get a visitor overnight permit by phone if you have more than two cars but you have to do it again each day. Other Things to NoteThis is not a child proofed house for toddlers. We have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers on all three floors. There is a fire escape ladder that will unroll from the third floor window in the event of a calamity.
