Bangalow (12mins) – is a relaxed and stylish village located by the popular town of Byron Bay. This historic town instantly charms. Verandas, a single main street in a sleepy country classic you might think this but this is no ordinary bush town. Bangalow has sophisticated tastes, as a short stroll past the cafes, galleries and therapists' shops along the main street will confirm. One of the town's minor treasures is the walking track that winds along the edge of Byron Creek. Within a few paces you're swallowed up in a forest of strangler vines and huge, mottled trees that shut out the sunshine.
Alstonville (20 mins) – Originally known as Duck Creek Mountain, Alstonville is also known for its rich red volcanic soil producing avocados, macadamia nuts, tropical fruits and coffee. The village has a number of art and antique galleries and cafes where you can relax with a coffee
Lake Ainsworth at Lennox Head (20mins)- A tea-tree stained freshwater lake, is very popular with locals and visitors. It's an exhilarating experience to swim between the salty ocean and the fresh water lake and is complemented by wonderful barbecue and picnic facilities.
Brunswick Heads – (35mins) Brunswick Heads is a small unspoilt coastal village on the NSW north coast, situated at the mouth of the Brunswick River. The town is 15 minutes north of Byron Bay. Mt Chincogan and Mt Warning provide a spectacular hinterland backdrop to the river that meanders up to the small town of Mullumbimby. With so much natural beauty, it's a gorgeous place for weddings and special events
