The SpaceMy very comfortable log home is surrounded by woods. Outside every window there is a beautiful view of trees. Behind the house are trails to cool old cemeteries and lovely streams. (In fact, I have just added some pictures of one of these trail walks). It is conveniently located on a main route only 5 miles from Amherst center. The suite consists of 2 rooms and a full bath. One room is a bedroom with a double bed. The other is a sitting room with a thick very comfortable futon couch that folds out to a double bed. It also has has a tv with Directv and an extensive eclectic library. There is a full bath with a great shower and a jacuzzi tub. The suite is on the entire second floor making it completely private. Downstairs there is full access to the living room, with pellet stove and large screen tv, to the kitchen, and to a screened in porch - weather permitting! There is also a washer/dryer, treadmill, and WiFi. I have a very shy cat, Stanley, who likes to sleep on top of the pellet stove. ME?! I am not at all shy, but can absolutely give you all the privacy you may desire.

The SpaceI have two beautiful rooms in a wonderful, wooded area near Amherst / Northampton MA. One room serves as a library and meditation room when not being used by guests. The second room, with beautiful bamboo floors, and large picture windows, is typically rented by longer term guests. My home is quiet with a reflective atmosphere. I am a Buddhist and yoga practitioner and a contemplative musician. The rooms are comfortably furnished with either a full/double, or queen-sized futon bed, reading chair, night stand, interesting library, and floor space for yoga. Wireless internet is provided. The price for longer visits is negotiable. The floor space in the bedrooms can also be used for other members of your party. A couch is also available in the living room. Let me know if your group will need both rooms, or the couch, because I charge a little extra/ night to use a second room. (Details upon request.) Guest AccessInternet, kitchen facilities, bathroom, shower or bath, laundry, walking trails. Interaction with GuestsI enjoy getting to know my guests, and having interesting conversations. I also am happy to give my guests space and privacy. The NeighborhoodMy unusual neighborhood, known as Hearthstone Village, is home to musicians, craftspeople, progressive educators, meditators, and visionary thinkers, and features nearby Sirius Community, an 80 acre eco-village and permaculture site. Getting AroundMy house is an easy and pleasant car ride to town, but is not on a public transportation route. Other Things to NoteMy downstairs library room, is a beautiful and meditative room, and has been well-loved by many guests. However, it may not be suitable for long term rental, because is does not have a closet space in the room (closet space is available across the hall) and it is off the common space.
