The SpaceBig mountain views. Huge back yard, pond, and fields with nothing much going on in them - except maybe ducks swimming.
Clean and private, lots of parking, room for extra gear. Farm acreage.
The whole cabin is yours. You also get a fantastic private grotto under the trees by the pond, so peaceful and beautiful. Guest AccessThe cabin will be open when you arrive. A key is available (hangs on a hook in cabin) in case you want to lock the door while you are out.
Feel free to explore the grounds of our 3 hectare secluded property with fields, woods, and big mountains all around. Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to greet and advise our guests, and help in any way. We'll then do our best to stay out of your way and leave you in peace.
Bear in mind ours is an active rural home business with things on the go - an art studio and gallery, workshop, farm animals, chores, so expect some action during the day!
We work out of our home and are usually around. Depending upon your arrival time we'll greet you and set you up, and we'll discretely monitor your visit to make sure everything is OK!
For late arrivals and for those times we can't be around, we'll make sure your self-check in is easy and trouble free with welcome signs and and easy access. The NeighborhoodPemberton is famous for potatoes and it's mountains...and being just up the road from Whistler. But there's a lot more to discover...
We're a short walking distance to town for dinner or supplies. Farms and farm animals, wildlife, and fine country living!
It's BC's wilderness frontier: Fishing, camping hiking, climbing, ski touring, mountain biking, kayaking, paragliding, horse riding, jet boating, snowmobiling - the best of everything is right here. Getting AroundIt's an easy 25-30 minute drive to Whistler, and just over 2 hours to Vancouver. There's a greyhound bus and commuter bus system to get you to Whistler and points further afield. In fair weather a bike is a great way to get around. Make sure your vehicle has all-season M+S or snow tires for winter conditions. Other Things to NoteEarly/Late Arrivals & Late Departures: By prior arrangement you may arrive earlier to stash your stuff, but we can't necessarily commit to handing over your space until 4pm check-in time. If you are arriving late we will leave everything ready for you and self check-in. Late check-outs after 11am are sometimes possible, depending, for one thing on if we have new guests arriving. Please ask the day before if we can accommodate a late checkout.
Road Conditions: It's wise to review the DriveBC website before travelling afield by road in BC. Mountain and winter road conditions do change, and there often public events happening in the Sea to Sky area which you may need to plan around.
Winter Driving: In winter, for travel to Whistler and Pemberton, make sure you have proper winter-certified tires or carry chains - it's the law! You can use M+S "Snowflake" all-season tires, or snow tires, or you can carry chains or cable chains. Most car rental places will offer cars with winter tires if you tell them you are going to Whistler, or if you ask. Cable chains are an inexpensive option if your tires don't qualify, but they only work when they're mounted! We've lived here almost 40 years, use all-season M+S "Snowflake" tires, and never had to chain up for the highway yet!
The cabin has been extensively renovated to make it energy efficient and more comfortable. It's also mobile - it can can be disassembled and moved in an afternoon!
