The SpaceNestled amongst garry oak and arbutus trees, this private cottage/artist's studio is the quintessential Pender Island retreat, available year-round. With stunning Pacific Ocean views of the San Juan Islands and Southern Gulf Islands, the cottage offers a unique location from which to experience island life on Pender. Sleeps 2 adults (plus 1 child) comfortably. Interaction with GuestsI live full-time on the property and will be around if you have any questions throughout your stay. The NeighborhoodPender Island is the Southernmost of the Gulf Islands, located along the Pacific Coast of British Columbia, Canada. Pender Island enjoys a sub-Mediterranean climate and features open farmland, rolling forested hills, several lakes and small mountains, as well as many coves and beaches. In fact, Pender Island offers the most public beach access points of any of the Gulf Islands, and is a great place to kayak, bike, whale watch, or wine taste. Getting AroundLocated on North Pender Island, Oaks Bluffs is a 15 minute drive from the Otter Bay ferry terminal and a 10 minute drive from the Driftwood Centre (grocery store, petrol station, post office, bakery, restaurant, etc). Public beach access points are only a 30 minute walk away (Trincomali). If travelling from the mainland (Tsawwassen), it is recommended to book your ferry journey in advance of your departure date. Other Things to NoteIf you are interested in booking for a longer stay, please contact me to discuss dates. I block off dates so that I can work in my studio (which is part of the cottage building), but I might be willing to consider opening up the calendar at times of the year. Please be aware that in the winter months Pender Island can experience storms that may result in loss of power.

The main shopping centre 'The Driftwood' is only 15 minutes away and there is also a great little store at Medicine Beach which is even closer. There are 2 beaches within walking distance. One is just past the end of the driveway and the other is about a 10 minute walk away. If you like to hike there are many super trails on Pender that will lead you to some incredible view points. Mount Norman being one of them. At the end of the day you can just relax on the deck or wander down to the beach and sit-back and look out over the ocean views towards Mount Baker Getting AroundThere is no bus service on the island. The SpaceThis is a self-contained cottage. There is a queen-size bed in the sleeping loft, an equipped kitchen, dining area, double fold-out bed in the living area, a shower, a composting toilet, a courtyard with a view of the garden. There is parking. The cottage is close to hiking, beaches, and a 4-star resort. Guest AccessThe cottage is all yours for the duration of your stay. Interaction with GuestsWe are usually at home, and are happy to help you with anything you need. Don't hesitate to ask us for whatever you need as we will do our best to respect your privacy, and leave you to quiet enjoyment. The NeighborhoodPender Island is one of the Southern Gulf Islands on the Pacific Coast of British Columbia, Canada. Pender Island lies between Vancouver and Victoria, BC. Pender offers the most public beach access points of any of the Gulf Islands and actually consists of two islands, North Pender and South Pender, which are separated by a narrow canal connected by a one-lane bridge. We are on South Pender. We enjoy a sub-Mediterranean climate, verdant farmland, rolling hills, areas of mossy rain forest, several lakes, some small mountains, and many quiet coves and beaches. Pender is a popular destination for cycling, fishing, hiking, boating, sailing, scuba diving and other outdoor pursuits. We also have a 9-hole golf course as well as a 27-hole disc golf course (frisbee golf). We have numerous art galleries, shops, and restaurants and an active community which comes together for local events, including the Fall Fair (late August) and the Lantern Festival (New Year's Eve). On Saturday mornings during the summer, the Farmer’s Market at the Community Hall offers local produce, hand-made crafts, and entertainment. Getting AroundPender Island is a 2-hour ferry ride from Vancouver and a 40-minute ferry ride from Sidney, BC, or a 20 minute flight by float-plane from the Vancouver Airport. Once on the island we are a twenty minute drive from the ferry terminal. The island is a beautiful place to bicycle. Getting around by car-stop (a type of organized hitchhiking) is convenient and a great way to meet some friendly Penderites.

The SpacePrivacy and quiet are the first things you’ll notice. Then the sun. Then our garden with many flowering trees, blooming shrubs and perennials. All our guests comment on how peaceful it is. The property is fenced to keep deer out. You will likely see some deer eyeing the plants through the fence. The cottage has a deck with a wicker loveseat that's a great place to hang out and relax. Inside, there's a sitting area with comfy chairs and a built-in desk with a new typing chair. The bed is queen size, very comfortable, with luxury linens. The kitchen has a four-burner stove with an oven, a bar fridge, dishes, pots and pans, kettle, toaster; everything you're likely to need. We include sugar, salt, good selection of spices, complimentary teas, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. There’s a stereo and wireless. On the deck is a new Weber gas barbeque. A table and chairs are set up outside for al fresco meals. In really hot weather, the shade of a big cedar is a nice place to read or nap. There’s a library in the cottage with murder mysteries and lots of books on writing. This is a wonderful space for one person and a terrific romantic getaway for two. It is not suitable for more than two adults. Couples with a baby are welcome to bring a playpen for baby to sleep in. Quiet dogs are welcome. We ask that they have nails clipped and up to date flea treatment. We have a young, friendly Golden Doodle so getting along well with other animals is a must. Guest AccessGuests have a private seating area under a big cedar. There's a table for al fresco dining and two comfortable chairs. Interaction with GuestsWe live on the property in a house a hundred feet away and are available if you have questions. Your privacy is important to us: we understand guests come here to relax! The NeighborhoodNorth Star Cottage is on North Pender Island in the Magic Lake area. We are five minutes drive from the Driftwood shopping area, two minutes drive from the lovely Medicine beach. The property backs onto a park. We have half a dozen walking trails accessible right from our place. It's five minutes walk through the woods to the world famous (we kid you not!) Disc Golf course. Getting AroundPender Island has many lovely places to explore and you’ll get more from your trip if you have a car. Pender is hilly. If you are an avid cyclist, this is alternate way to see the island. We do have car stops on many places on Pender. The nearest one to Northstar Cottage is right outside the front gate. Whether you're here for a weekend, a longer holiday, or searching for a place to buy, you'll find our location central and convenient. Other Things to NoteFerries in the summer are often fully booked. If you are traveling from Vancouver with a vehicle, we strongly suggest reserving ahead of time. Ferries from Victoria to Pender don’t take reservations, so getting there early will make sure you get on. Although the website says the cottage sleeps three, we have done this as a courtesy to parents who wish to bring small children. Please let us know if you would like us to put out the fold-up foamie and bedding we use for this. There is a charge of $15. per night for an extra person. Please note that weekly and monthly rates are substantially discounted from the daily rates. No further discounts are available.

The SpaceWelcome to my unique cottage in the trees in Magic Lake Estates, on North Pender Island. Features of the house include a cozy wood fire stove, interior finishing with reclaimed and recycled wood products, modern renovated kitchen with 5 burner gas stove and dishwasher, heated slate floors and pebble rock shower floor in guest bathroom, antique claw foot soaker tub in main bathroom, queen size beds and comfy duvet and pillows, quiet back yard and patio with BBQ, main floor yoga studio space. I am close to walking trails, disc golf, swimming lakes and ocean beaches. See BC Ferries website for ferry schedules and rates. I teach Yoga and Stand Up Paddle on the Island so I can arrange for either of these activities during your stay. **Only reviewed and verified guest inquiries will be considered**This is not a regular commercial "short term vacation rental" **This is my home that I occasionally list as available - and to comply with local BnB bylaws I will be staying "onsite"- if you have any questions just send me an inquiry!** Interaction with GuestsI will be staying onsite in the art studio in the back of the property. You'll have the privacy of the main house to yourselves during your stay. Should you need any advice I'll be nearby and I'd be happy to help. Also if you are interested in Stand Up Paddleboarding or Yoga I'd be happy to book a lesson or tour for you. Getting AroundI recommend bringing a car over (be sure to gas up before hitting the island), as most activities are pretty spread out over the island, and you'll just find it easier to get around by car. See BC ferries website for most up to date schedules. Reservations are recommended for weekends and especially in the summer from the mainland. You can "thrufare" via Swartz Bay if the direct gulf islands ferries are fully booked. Biking is possible but the island is quite hilly. You could leave your car at home get a real feel for "island time" by trying our "car stops" - it's a hitchhiking system all over the islands where you can hitch a ride and then explore on foot! Other Things to NoteMy dog will be around, she's big but really she's just a big suck!

The SpacePerfect for couples or small families. There is one queen size bed and also a pull out futon within the same room. The futon sleeps two children, or two 'friendly' adults bringing the total accommodation to 4. There is a fully stocked kitchenette, with a microwave, fridge, induction cook top, countertop convection oven, BBQ and laundry facilities. There is also a TV and DVD player in case you are allergic to trees! Guest AccessThe room has its own private access. You have access to the back patio and of course all the walking trails on the property. You are also welcome to enjoy a relaxing break with a glass of wine or beer in the courtyard at 4 o'clock! Breakfast is served in the main house courtyard or dining room with sea view, however the rest of the house is generally off limits. Directly across from your 'Touch of the Casbah' private suite is the well maintained Shingle Bay Park with easy beach access. Several extensive hiking trails are just steps away in the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. A double kayak is available for holders of an OPEN WATER certificate. Interaction with GuestsI will be present for your entire stay and will be happy to provide a lovely breakfast. How does Eggs Benedict with salmon and asparagus sound? Or perhaps you would prefer Carolyn's Tasty Downhome Blueberry Buckwheat Waffles!? I am also happy to help guests with suggestions or reservations for meals or kayaking tours etc while they stay on the island. I will attempt to cater to guest's dietary requirements as much as possible, whether you are a veggie, vegan, or gluten free. I just require ample forewarning so please highlight this when you book. The NeighborhoodBreathe in the forest. Search out the seals! If you are lucky you can catch the orca on their travels through the sound. This is a truly gentle and peaceful west coast experience. Relax, unwind and enjoy a genuine 'Pender moment'. The Island has a fantastic network of trails and activities for the more active, or equally can be an incredibly peaceful oasis if you are looking for an escape. Getting AroundYou will need either 2 wheels or 4! A bike or car is recommended in order to explore the island.

The SpaceWhy would you choose to visit an island and stay anywhere BUT the sea shore? David and I travel a lot and we can assure you that you won't find a more stunningly beautiful place in all the world! Even in the winter it's seascape is awesome. We still just stop and stare out the window at the ever changing vista of the water and sky. Eagles, seals, otters and deer often are staring right back at us! I think you will feel peaceful here. Where else can you step down to a private beach and open a bottle of wine undisturbed? You may notice prayer flags, earth colours, mosaics, details of local stones/driftwood, Buddhas and the like. True Tranquility. Guest AccessPlease enjoy our beach, stroll up the yard to pick an organic apple, or sit with a drink on the beach. You essentially have the bottom floor to yourselves, as David and I are upstairs. There is not a full kitchen. There is a little fridge, microwave and tea/coffee area, a sitting room and studio/CST therapy space. One visitor really wanted a BBQ, so we have one now for guest's use. Yeah! Point of note... we don't have garbage collection on island. So, please plan to pack away any meaty wrappers etc. Much obliged ;-) We have 2 single kayaks & jackets for rent. Perfect to explore the coastline and observe from a very different perspective. Both for 1/2 day rental $60, one 1/2 day $30. (Basically morning or afternoon rental time slots, but if no one else wants to reserve them that day, you can continue to use them as long as you wish). If you want to book BOTH rooms and ensure that you have exclusive use of the lower half of the house, your rate would be $150 per night at the "Ultimate Tranquil Spot by the Sea". Great for a combined visit with friends or family! I get the occasional request from guests to bring along their baby/toddler. Even if you plan to share the bed with your little one, I find it best if you book the whole floor to yourselves, thus you will want to book, "The Ultimate". Couples are attracted to the quiet tranquility and young energy, though delightful, is not usually a good fit. Let's talk about your specific needs :-) If there were even more than that which can be accommodated by the 2 bedrooms and their respective queen beds, I can set up extra sleeping spaces for those that wouldn't mind a foam on the studio/sitting room floor. Add-on fee per extra people over 4, depending on who and what the arrangement ends up becoming! There is also a little cabin on the hill that we let guests swap to stay in, if they are hankering after total privacy. The view is spectacular and there is a woodsy trail to the best outhouse in BC! Haha. Brand new: it smells like cedar and it has a tiled floor! I teach yoga and if you are staying when classes are running (usually a couple of times a week outdoors in the summer), you are welcome to join in for free! This 2016 season I plan to teach Tues/Thurs @ 9:30 am, Outside weather permitting, under the big tree. If it is cold or wet outside, we can squeeze into the downstairs studio/sitting room space. I have extra yoga mats. If you don't want to join in, you could always stay in bed. :-) I will be running a yoga and 'Soul Expression Dance Journey' at the Pender Island Hall 6 Sunday mornings this summer. You are welcome to join classes there as well. Try searching, "Ginalini yoga" for more info about me and/or classes. Interaction with GuestsI will be here to greet you and answer any questions you may have about the property and the island. David and I will be around if you need us, otherwise you are invited to cocoon with a good book, your computer or head off on an adventure. You will notice coffee, teas, dishes, microwave, a little fridge and a outdoor BBQ for your use. There is the one bathroom sink downstairs, so I have a place for you to deposit your used dishes and I replace them with clean ones as needed. You will find a welcome snack vs a full breakfast or kitchen. Instead, you may be out and about enjoying the yummy bakery, the farmer's market, the local restaurants, marinas or picnicking in nature. During the summer in particular, most visitors have a busy schedule, as many travel here to attend weddings etc. The longer days and warmth, tend to draw everyone into nature all the more! Aside. Each guest has their own unique way of enjoying the space. We endeavor to take our cues from you! Some like to have a natter and "pick our brains", others are more apt to commune in silence with nature, or stare dreamily into their significant other's eyes ;-) The NeighborhoodOur area is the historic Hope Bay. You are right beside a working organic farm and near several other beach accesses and view point mountain/hill trails. We are steps from the Hope Bay dock and its restaurant, art gallery, real estate office, jewellers, hair salon, studio etc. I love to be pampered at nearby White Tara's; an intimate and unique home retreat. perfect for an aroma therapy massage. On that note, I also am a therapist...though I doubt you will want counselling here in paradise, but you may opt for an in-house craniosacral or reflexology treatment? In the summer I teach yoga under the big tree outside overlooking the water. Wellness opportunities abound! Most common activities which draw people to Pender Island are peace/nature watching, boating/kayaking, weddings/photography, walking/hiking, events/galleries, concerts/markets, golf/disc golf and cycling. Getting AroundMost people access Pender Islands by BC Ferries from either Vancouver or Vancouver Island. You may also take ferries from Seattle or Port Angeles in the USA that can coordinate with our local ferry system. We've had private boats pull up and anchor in our Bay and row to our beach. Or buoy up at Hope Bay, about 200 yards away. Some choose to fly directly from downtown Vancouver with Harbour Air via float plane to Poet's Cove on South Pender Island. It is also possible to fly from Seattle on Kenmore Air. Or you can fly from the south terminal of Vancouver Airport on Sea Air to Port Washington, quite close by. ( Flying in is a memorable and enjoyable experience I totally recommend!). We are locally serviced by Pender Island Cab Company. There is ample parking at our home and if you have an electric car, we have a L2 charger. (There are several charging stations around the island to explore!) There is no public transit, but you can try "car stops", the official hitch-hiking alternative. It is a relatively short cycle from the ferry to us and to our "downtown", but be aware the roads are hilly and narrow! I find those aspects more challenging than the distances. There are MANY trails and beach access pathways throughout both North and South Pender Island loved by those who walk. I can't guarantee it, but when I'm available and heading out with our electric car, I don't mind giving guests a lift on my way. I was considering adding a Ginalini Uber service, but Uber is not yet available in BC. If you want to book a specific pick-up early or late at the ferry, or require a longer journey, this diver gratefully accepts tips. ;-) Other Things to NoteAirbnb blocks websites, but you can try typing in "Pender Hall", you will be brought to a page showing all the activities booked there. It is a cool building with totems carved outside and it is also within walking distance of our place. Try googling "Pender Island events", and you will see listings of many local events held all over North and South Pender Islands, from walking group meeting places and farmer's markets to music concerts and art showings. Sea Star winery is now active and featuring a variety of events too. The islands in general are "alternative", as such, we are diversity friendly. Also, we deeply value our unique and precious environment. We have a good well and a technically advanced water system... but please conserve. We recycle and compost here exclusively, so expect to find labelled bins. ;-) If you create any huge amount of trash/meat wrappers etc. please plan to pack it with you if you are able. Cheers.

The SpaceThis space is very unique as there is an ocean view, fireplace, and many people have described living up amongst the Douglas Firs as though it is like living in a large tree house. There is a separate bedroom, and a pull-out Murphy bed in the adjoining room. The bathroom is newly renovated. It is a little island oasis. Our favourite part is the wood stove, and we provide some wood to get you started. It can heat the house very well, once you figure it out. We provide you with some wood to get you started. Guest AccessGuests have access to a fully furnished home, with linens and all of the kitchen and laundry appliances so that someone can essentially buy groceries (food and laundry detergent--if staying longer), arrive and live quite comfortably. It is a warm and inviting place to stay and people always comment on the beauty. I provide spices, soaps and detergents and other types of things to help you get started, but we pay it forward here, so please leave a little for the next guests. Interaction with GuestsGuests will need to be fairly self-sufficient, and I have set the price with this in mind; however, I have provided a comprehensive website for this purpose to answer any questions that I will share at the time of rental once your reservation is confirmed with me as discussed above. I am always available for questions before, during and after your stay. Airbnb Process: I have learned a few little details to help with the Airbnb process for both parties to make it clear and easy. I have learned that you cannot double book and communicate with multiple hosts easily on this site without formally "booking". Airbnb wants to insure that we are secure in our shared contact information in the booking process: 1. Pre-approval: Please do an "inquiry" for a "pre-approval reservation". I then review and approve the request (quickly) by seeing who you are first as I am letting you into my home. If you can tell me a bit about yourself in your first interaction, that is helpful. Airbnb verifications are helpful, but not essential. 2. Booking: When I click on "approve pending reservation" (which I do quite quickly after you inquire), please then click "book" or "reserve" (shortly thereafter so that I can secure your booking--this courtesy is greatly appreciated so I can allow others to book). We can then share our contact information. (Airbnb blocks contact information until this confirmation process is complete for both parties security). 3. Once this process is complete, we both share and receive phone contact information and we can get to know each other a bit for questions either way (verbally is preferred). I find that this telephone contact helps to make everyone feel comfortable, and become familiar with the property. People have expressed appreciation for this contact given the nature of the property and location. Property Manager: For longer rentals, I will ask that the guests meet with my property manager to confirm the lease agreement, and to work through details accordingly. I will put you in touch with the realty company accordingly. The NeighborhoodI love this island very much. Deer and raccoons live nearby. There are no bear or cougar, so this is a relatively safe island to live on. The people on Pender Island are very friendly. This is a private place for creative people to come and be artistic, or for romantic people to spend time with each other. It is not an ideal place for children to meet other children. There are not many children around. I have yet to see any other than the local school bus that proves that there are some somewhere... Getting AroundThe locals use a car transit system to get around the island that works very efficiently. It is a bit like hitch-hiking at bus stops, but it works. There is also a local taxi where required. Many people bike ride as well, but there are some hilly sections. Other Things to NoteThere are many things to do on the island if you (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) some of the local references there is considerable information for your reference. I have a website that I will share with you once the reservation is confirmed, along with other books and information in the cottage itself. Games and books are available for people to enjoy the cottage the old fashioned way. There are two televisions, but if you want television (cable) and Internet wifi, tenants are required to cover this cost additionally and separately and can make arrangements to hook this up on their own with Shaw. Some tenants opt to work with their own digital hot spot plans with their own technology and devices. Please note: **The hot tub is not working at this time. (The lower price for this beautiful island home takes these costs into account).

This cozy cute Japanese-influenced cottage was built six years by one of the owners, a professional carpenter. It has shiplap ceilings, edge grain fir floors, and lots of custom wood touches.North Star Cottage is centrally located, making it easy to explore the island. The sunny cottage is surrounded by gardens. It is quiet and private. All our guests comment on how peaceful it is.Most of the property is fenced to keep deer out. You'll find the kitchen fully equipped with complimentary touches like an assortment of teas and good olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The queen bed is comfortable and the linens luxurious. The cottage has edge grain fir flooring and custom wood touches throughout. There's comfortable seating, a reading light, a stereo system, and a library. For those coming for a writing retreat, there's a typing chair and a custom made desk. When you want to go for a walk, you don't even have to take a car! There are a number of trails accessible right from the property. The main house is a hundred feet from the cottage and the owners live on site. They are available to answer questions. Outside of the cottage, on the porch, is a new Weber gas barbeque. On the other side is a comfy wicker loveseat. There's a private outdoor seating area with glass-topped table and chairs. There are sun and shade sitting areas. The property is fenced so it is safe for quiet, friendly dogs. The cottage itself is surrounded by gardens and looks out on them. It's beside a pond. Many of the plantings are butterfly-friendly and fragrant. We're close to things. It takes two minutes to drive to the ocean at Medicine Beach, or the Slow Coast Cafe above Medicine Beach. It's five minutes drive to the Driftwood Center to buy groceries, fifteen minutes to the ferry, the library, the Nu-to-You thrift store, or the Cafe at Hope Bay. Although the website says the cottage sleeps three, we have done this as a courtesy to parents who wish to bring small children. Please let us know if you would like us to put out the fold-up foamie and bedding we use for this. There is a charge of $15. per night for an extra person. We do offer a simple Continental breakfast—please contact us about that if you are interested. Pender Island is a great place to unwind. It's big enough to be fun--there are beaches and hikes, art galleries and restaurants, but it's a sunny southern Gulf Island. Listen to the birds. Look at the stars at night. Enjoy the peace and quiet that comes from being out in nature. A couple of notable shopping experiences: the Farmer's Market is fun. It's on Saturdays mornings at the Community Hall grounds. Pender has many talented artists and artisans. Nu to You is a thrift store so excellent that people have been known to come from Vancouver to shop there. It's a community store, with all proceeds going back to worthy projects, so folks who live here tend to donate generously. It's open Fridays and Saturdays. Get there 10:00 a.m. on Friday for the best deals.

Our home built in 2008 is on a large natural landscaped lot with a massive cedar deck looking west over Swanson Channel. The home features a huge amount of glass to take advantage of the view and sunshine and still enjoy the privacy. We look west where you can keep and eye on ferry traffic between the British Columbia Mainland and Vancouver Island. Wait for that elusive five ferry moment, the ferry to Salt Spring Island, to Pender, to the other islands and from and to the Mainland from Swartz Bay. You'll also see freighters, pleasure craft and and if you are lucky our resident pod of Orca whales. Relax on the deck and watch the sunsets at the end of a day of hiking, kayaking, beach combing or golf. The house is modern, all on one level with hardwood floors and loads of windows. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is a dream to work in. We are located about a ten minute walk from our local Thieves Bay Marina a popular whale watching site. Close by is our Gulf Island National Park, swimming at Magic Lake. There are reductions for longer term rentals particularly in the low seasons If you want to tear yourself away from our view you can take in some of Pender's many hiking trails and beach accesses, we'll leave you a map. Another great activity is kayaking our sheltered waters, bring your own kayak or you can rent one with or without a tour. If you love beaches Pender Island has 38 beach access points. If you like golf we have a terrific nine hole course for you. Enjoy a cool one at Birdie's after your round. Our local pub at Port Browning has great meals and so does the spectacular Poet's Cove Marina and resort. There are several other eateries on the island to cater to all tastes. Don't bring groceries we have a shopping centre which includes an excellent grocery store, bakery, liquor store, cafe, bank, post office, clothing store, real estate office, bookstore, toy shop, pharmacy, hairdresser and automobile service station.

The NeighborhoodPender Island is one of the Southern Gulf Islands located along the Pacific Coast of British Columbia, Canada. Pender Island consists of two islands, North Pender and South Pender, which are separated by a narrow canal connected by a one-lane bridge. Pender Island lies between Vancouver, BC and Victoria BC. It is a 2-hour ferry ride from Vancouver and a 40-minute ferry ride from Sidney, BC. Pender Island enjoys a sub-Mediterranean climate and features open farmland, rolling forested hills, several lakes and small mountains, as well as many coves and beaches. In fact, Pender Island offers the most public beach access points of any of the Gulf Islands. Pender Island is a popular destination for cycling, fishing, hiking, boating, sailing, scuba diving and other outdoor pursuits. The island also boasts a 9-hole golf course as well as a 27-hole disc golf course (frisbee golf). Pender Island also has numerous art galleries, shops, and restaurants and hosts a variety of local events throughout the year, including the Pender Island Fall Fair and the Lantern Festival. On Saturday mornings during the summer, the Pender Island Farmer’s Market at the Community Hall offers local produce and handcrafts, as well as entertainment. Pender is a choice weekend and year round holiday destination. Summer is generally a busy time, while the island pace slows down considerably during the winter months. Spring and fall are pleasant times of the year, with fewer tourists and mild weather. Getting AroundLOCATION WOODS is centrally located on the island making access to island amenities and activities by bike feasible.
