The SpaceThis lovely house is located in Governor's sandy beach at only about 20 meters from the sea shore. It has unobstructed sea view and enjoys a quiet natural green environment. This new development comprises 4 detached houses with a private swimming pool, heating and air-conditioning systems, maid's quarters at the back of each house. Stunning newly built detached offering comfort and relaxation. The house benefits from heated swimming pool (with electric cover), landscaped garden, SMART housing system with central music system and lighting as well as luxurious specifications. Governors' is located about 15 minutes (20 Kilometers) from Limassol town centre, the most cosmopolitan of the cities in Cyprus as it has so many different nationalities living and working here. As the second largest city in Cyprus, Limassol has its own identity and culture and Limassolians are most proud of their city. Please note that all pools are Heated (electricity is charged subject to consumption). Every 4-5 days a thorough cleaning is performed ( change of linen, towels, bedsheets etc). Extra Charges: Electricity subject to consumption (usually 5 - 8 euros p.day) Facilities: The houses are fully furnished with internal and external furniture. There is outside furniture (for 6 persons), 2 sun beds with umbrella, bbq area, 3 rooms of the 1st floor,1 room on the ground floor, 2 bathrooms (one on each floor), outside pool shower, 5th bedroom (service room at the back of the house)as well as a store room attached to the service room outside. Both the bedroom and kitchen diner overlook the mountains. The rooms have been simply and stylishly furnished and feature wooden floorboards throughout. From the balcony, enjoy the stunning sunsets and views of the mountains across the fields of carob and olive trees. The apartment has been equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your holiday, including all linen, towels and beach towels. We also provide a few welcome items for your arrival including juice, tea, coffee and small snacks. Guest AccessKey collection is organised with the hosts. Access to the apartments is via a communal entrance gate. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the ground floor apartment and enjoy meeting new people, however are also respectful of guests who like their privacy. The NeighborhoodPentakomo is an exceptionally well located village for independent travellers who want to enjoy authentic Cypriot village life. It is also an excellent base from which to explore the entire island. The villagers are very friendly and life revolves around the square which has a well stocked supermarket, butcher, coffee shop, taverna and church. The balcony is a great place to observe many of the migratory birds that pass through Cyprus, including the inquisitive Swallows and beautiful Bee Eaters. For enthusiastic walkers, the nearest beach is approximately 45 minutes away (5 minutes drive), and there are numerous pedestrian friendly routes among the fields and mountains. Limassol (15 mins), Larnaca (30 mins), Nicosia (45 mins) and Paphos (55 mins) are all easily accessed from the motorway. Many local historic attractions including the Kalavassos Tenta, UNESCO World Heritage site of Choirokoitia and the ancient ruins of Amathus are all within 10 mins drive. Getting AroundA car or scooter/motorbike is essential, or bikes for cycling enthusiasts ! Parking is available directly outside the apartment. Other Things to NoteWe have a very behaved and very lazy dog and a friendly, inquisitive cat who live with us in the ground floor apartment. The property comprises three apartments and access to the building is via a communal front entrance gate. We aim to ensure that all guests fully enjoy their stay with us. However, if you are looking for total privacy, please note that the two guest apartments are situated on the first floor and share balcony access. After, they will be left in peace till the time has come to check out, when we will meet again ;) The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood of Governos Beach is quiet and peaceful. There are some restaurants located at the sea-side where you can enjoy fresh fish 'meze'. If you want to see some action, the lively city of Limassol is only a 10-minute drive away. Getting AroundGovernos is a quiet and small area. There is a bus available if this interests you contact me for more details. Yet the easiest way to get around is to rent a car. You can do this when you arrive on the airport of Larnaca. When booking the house I will send you a detailed diagrammatic map of how to get from the airport to the house and where the closest hypermarket is. We are located just 3 minutes’ walk from the beach. Ship Inn and Limassol twin towers area. Special rates for short term or longer stay! All apartments have Wi-Fi access. How to find us By air: We are the same distance from Paphos airport and Larnaca airport, about 40 minutes drive. By road: Located Near the Curium Roundabout and just round the corner from Ayios Nicolaos church. Coming in from the motorway, your easiest route is to take the 1st roundabout if you are coming from Larnaca and if you are coming from Paphos it will be the last roundabout, which is called the Yermasoyia roundabout. You need to turn into town not up towards the hills, depending on which direction you are coming from. Keep driving straight down the road, you will pass quite a few traffic lights but just keep driving. Keep looking to your left. This road is called Grivas Digenis. Once you pass what looks like a park with a statue (this is a statue of Grivas and is called Trisfigeto tou Griva (Grivas hideout) go pass this and you will see coffee shop on the 2nd left, go down that road (Christou Kelly or Christou Kelli, you may also see the spelling Christou M-Kelli ) and you will find out apartments at the bottom of the road, it's a no through road and we are at the end of it. If you get to the roundabout, it means you have gone too far, just turn back and drive back the way you came, you will see a church on your left (Ayios Nicolaos), go past the church and take the next turn to the right, you will see a coffee shop of the corner. Drive down to the bottom of the road, it is a no through road and you will see a block of flats on your left. On the front veranda there are a garden table with 4 chairs and at the back veranda 2 sunbeds. Linen and towels are offered free of charge once a week. (Beach towels are not provided.) Transfers from Airport are available on request. Governor's Beach where the house is located east of Limassol right in the center of the island, one kilometer from the Limassol - Nicosia Motorway, and midway between Larnaca and Limassol, two of the major cities in Cyprus. The house is full of modern conveniences and technology for you to enjoy on your holidays including cleaning robots The village is quite traditional with 3 local tavernas and a supermarket within walking distance. The countryside is beautiful and there are numerous walks around for you to explore and experience quite stunning views. We are just 10 minutes from the coast with it's sandy beaches, azure sea and ancient Greek ruins. You will find an abundance of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets along the coast road leading into the lively city centre. On the coast in addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can sail, windsurf, dive and water-ski. You will also discover a coastal walk which will lead you past the ruins of the ancient city of Amathusia and along the waterfront. If you are really energetic, this can take you all the way into the city. Regular buses are available for the less enthusiastic! Our house is unique because it offers the best of all worlds. A modern home which is perfectly located to be both a peaceful, rural retreat while close to the sea and buzz of the city. Almost everywhere on the island can be reached in 90 minutes Other Things to NoteWe have 3 lovely small dogs who share the house with us. They can of course go to kennels but if you would like to look after them then we will give you a reduction on the rental
