The SpaceThe location is perfect, especially for couples or small families that want to experience big city living in the safest neighborhood in downtown Philadelphia (Center City). If you're a foodie, there are 204 restaurants located within a half mile radius including the Reading Market, South Street, Chinatown, and the Italian Market to name a few. HISTORY For history buffs, my apartment's six huge windows overlook Washington Square Park which is home of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the Revolutionary War. Also within a few blocks is the Liberty Bell, the Constitution Center, Ben Franklin's grave, Penn's Landing and so much more. Nearly every block contains a piece of history that was integral to laying the groundwork for what is now the greatest country in the history of civilization and Philly does an amazing job of pointing out places of historical significants. ENTERTAINMENT If shopping is your thing, the area is full of unique and department stores, specifically in the Walnut Street Shopping District. Directly behind my building is Jeweler's Row which is home to the largest concentration of high-end diamonds and precious metal stores in the country. The around-the-clock security surrounding Jewelers' Row is a major factor in why crime is nearly non-existent in my area. With well over a dozen subway stations located within walking distance, the city will be a giant playground to explore and experience. So if you'd like to catch a Phillies, Eagles, 76ers, or Flyers game (depending on the season), the stadiums are just a few clearly marked subway stops away. Even if you have a car, you'll never use it. Even if you would like to spend a day or two in NYC, DC, Atlantic City, or the Jersey Shore there are a ton of affordable options to get there including bus and train, which run back and forth many times a day. Although the interior of the apartment is extremely modern, the actual building is more than 200 years old which just adds to the old city nostalgia. The only downside is there is no elevator so walking up a flight of stairs is necessary (I live on the 3rd and 4th floors). I also have one window that does not open properly but other than that, I cant think of any other negatives to the apartment, complex, and neighborhood. Guests will have access to my building, apartment, and all of the amenities in my place, including two very large HDTVs with approximately 300 channels, high-speed internet, a workstation (fax, printer, and scanner), a bluetooth surround sound system, AppleTV, and remote controlled fire place. The kitchen includes stove, oven, microwave, full size refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, silverware, plates, dishes, cups, bowls, deep frier, blender, toaster, pots, pans, etc... There is also a king-size bed, leather couch, and a new dining room table. A washer and dryer is also located in my apartment and will be stocked with everything you need to do laundry while planning your next Philly adventure. I will be attending law school in the fall and have several trips scheduled to visit schools in the upcoming months but if I am out of town I will arrange for someone in the building to assist you if there are any issues. However, the day you arrive I will personally greet you, give you a tour of the facility and if your schedule permits, I would be glad to show you around the neighborhood. Prior to your arrival the apartment will be professionally cleaned and ready to go. I will also meet with you on your last day to ensure that you had a great experience and will provide you with a parting gift to remember your amazing trip for years to come. In addition, I will also make sure that you have all of my contact information in case something comes up or you want suggestions or advise about the apartment, city, and/or neighborhood. My ultimate goal is that you will leave 100% satisfied and I will do whatever it takes to make that happen. As mentioned above, the neighborhood is extremely safe and full of energy. There is so much to do and see within a short walk that it would take months to do and see everything so rest up before your visit... And bring your apetite! The location is the best part about my apartment and I love the inside of the place. I know quite a few people that live in the building and area and none of them own a car, its just unnecessary. According to (website hidden), my apartment was a walker's (scored 97/100), rider's (public transportation, 100/100), and biker's paradise (97/100). It's great, my fridge is always empty because I can choose what I want to eat and either get the stuff to make it or bring something home from some awesome market or local restaurant without hassle every day. I have literally never been to a traditional grocery store in the 2 years I've lived here and I cook all the time. The food at the markets is so fresh and inexpensive that a Safeway would never even stand a chance. And with so much culture in the area the variety of amazing food (and people, places, and things) you can find is limitless. Its one of those places where getting lost is your best bet.
