This rustic, funky yet lovable cabin yearns to be part of your Humboldt country adventure. Located in Lower Redway on the South Fork of the Eel River you are near many nature attractions such as fishing sites, Redwood state parks, Lost Coast and Shelter Cove. Besides the 2 Br/1 bath, you have a huge family room complete with Mardi Gras Moose and a picture window that shows it all ! The kitchen boasts an old Wedgewood stove only to be bested by the Mickey Mouse waffle maker. Outside is a bbq and picnic table with a small fire pit for roasting marshmellows for dessert. The funk starts with the redwood bark siding, the interior vaulted ceiling and amazing stone fireplace that fits a 4 foot log. Top that with our hodgepodge decor and you have yourself a cabin with its own personality... * Please note- this cabin requires you to bring your own linens and towels as well as leaving the cabin clean before departure. ( that's why the rates can stay so low :) The rustic cabin is located near the end of a one way road with very little traffic. The road loops through Redwoods and summer cabins and is a great bike ride with kids. There is an official grove ( O' Meara) you can walk to and through with another just a quick trip across the bridge. Also good geocache at the Briceland bridge grove. The best swmming hole is 1/2 mile from the cabin with an easy walk down the road but always nice to have a ride home ! Redway and Garberville have an eclectic group of eateries and funky stores - complete with a theatre and ice cream shop that are our favorites. Either way you turn on Briceland road takes you to hiking and nature spots worth exploring-in other words...the cabin is in a great location!

However, we ask that guests respect the privacy of the caretaker and stay away from the yurt clearing. Our tasting fee is $10 per person (or per tasting, if sharing a tasting) to taste all of our available wines. We gladly credit this fee towards the purchase of two or more bottles of our wine. All tastings include an optional vineyard and winery tour. Houseguests receive a 5% discount on all wine purchased during their stay, on top of any other discounts. Our allocation list members receive an additional 10% off all wine purchases, and there is a 10% discount on all cases of wine as well. You can purchase Terragena wines from us during your stay or on our website (search for terragenavineyard). The NeighborhoodOne of the great things about this property is its remoteness; it provides an excellent retreat from a busy life. There are neighbors nearby, but most people come up to this area for the tranquility and space. Guests should respect the privacy of neighbors. Nearby attractions include Humboldt Redwoods State Park, the Eel River (great for swimming, fishing, and kayaking), the Lost Coast, and several wineries. Getting AroundThere is no local public transportation, and guests should plan to take a car to and from the property. Local attractions are also best accessed by car. Part of the drive includes a gravel road, but a four wheel drive vehicle is not needed. In the winter, it is advisable to carry chains or snow tires for any vehicle. Other Things to NoteOur house is a bit out of the way; that's the whole point for us. You will likely want to go grocery shopping before getting up to the house. Also, please be very careful on the local roads. Many of them are winding and have steep drop-offs. We are located approximately 30 minutes from the nearest towns and 25 minutes from the Avenue of the Giants.
