Immortelle Treehouse is located in the picturesque fishing village of Grande Riviere, on the North Coast of Trinidad. A large river empties itself into the Atlantic ocean and a long stretch of beach is the nesting site for endangered Leatherback Turtles. The beach is protected from April to August. An equatorial type of rain forest dominates the hills and valleys surrounding the village. The area is ideal for bird watching, nature walks, and discovering the local wildlife. There are many other beaches and the area is well frequented by the local surfing community.
To reach Grande Riviere from Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad & Tobago, is about a 3 hour drive. Once you drive out of the city, the road will be scenic. From the airport the drive is about 2.5 hours long. There is public transport via mini vans.
Although there are 3 restaurants in the village, there is only a small parlor (grocery) with very basic items, so we do recommend that your bring with you any special items you may require.
