The SpaceThis is a hand crafted log cabin meaning it is like a piece of art and is unlike a traditional 8" milled log cabin (our logs average 20" and each is unique). The "Log getaway" is a 1200 square foot log cabin made with soaring cathedral ceilings, a huge master loft with log bed, stainless steel appliances, copper sinks, stone shower, and wide plank wood floors. The cabin is perfect for one or two couples or a small family so we cannot accommodate more than four (4) occupants at any one time. Heat for the cabin is provided by a cozy gas fireplace/stove. The loft has a king bed and there is a queen sized bed in the lower bedroom. High speed wireless and a Mac computer with high speed internet is provided. A speaker system with sub-woofer is also supplied for hook up to your laptop or IPOD (a dock is supplied). There is also a collection of games, poker chips, a large DVD collection and a 55" TV with Dish Satellite. Interaction with GuestsMy resident host, Judy, takes care of upkeep and lives nearby and her number will be provided. I am also available via cell nearly any time for questions. The NeighborhoodPine Mountain Club offers several restaurants, a bakery, wine tasting, a 9 hole executive golf course, tennis courts, game room, swimming pool, general store, gas station, and several shops. A larger grocery store is available in Frazier Park just 25 minutes away. There is beautiful hiking to a magical waterfall just a short walk up the road, no driving needed. Other Things to NoteSee what our guests have to say (taken directly from our guest book): "This place provided a well needed getaway for us. It felt like we were worlds away from the city and we were happy to see that our cell phones don’t work here. We enjoyed our slippery hike to the falls up the street and all the other trails in the area. Thank you so much for providing us such a beautiful place to stay and for allowing our puppy dog to enjoy it with us." Rob, Cat & Bella, Marin County, CA "Sunday morning in the cabin. This is the perfect mountain getaway with all the comforts necessary for my husband and our youngest daughter and their two adorable young girls. The rustic and artistic qualities of your cabin have inspired us to consider spending more weekends in the mountains as a family. The tranquility and scenic beauty, including patches of snow, encouraged us to slow down and listen to the magic of nature." Sue, Los Angeles, CA "Thank you for sharing your great place with us. Truly, these two days in this cabin were some of the best in all our lives. We’re taking nothing but great memories from this unforgettable log cabin. Your artworks are amazing and they made us feel at home. Thank you again…" Henry and Company, Los Angeles, CA "This has been the most peaceful trip we have ever been on! From the amazing design of the cabin to the set of binoculars sitting by the window, it seems like a huge amount of thought and love was put into everything here. The SpaceSummer is super in Pine Mountain Club! Please note: Conditions apply with regard to our one-night minimum stay. Please ask first! We recently acquired the property adjacent to the cabin, a park-like space now available to our guests! It contains a horseshoe pit (bring your horseshoes and go for it!); a rock pond with a waterfall, filled in the spring; a picnic table; many seating areas and benches; three covered benches for reading or relaxation; a wishing well; a windmill; walking paths; and decorative garden art. We hope our guests enjoy this new property and new feature of Anya's Cottages. Please contact us if you wish to rent only the outdoor space for day events. Contact us also about special events and retreats. We truly believe that you will not find another cabin more lovingly decorated, each piece acquired one at a time, to complement the beauty of the mountain. Our cabin has been used by more than one film crew and for a number of club retreats. It borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, go to the local coffeehouse, dine, and listen to local music. The cabin has undergone a cleaning and an attractive renovation, which includes new spa tile in the main bathroom; a rain shower head; hardwood flooring up and downstairs; a beautiful, full-sized, new stove and hood; new programmable coffeemaker; vacuum cleaner, mop, and broom; some new furniture and decorations; new stainless steel pot and pan set; DVD and CD player; log bed for the second bedroom (now in addition to the one in the master bedroom); IKEA twin bed and mattresses; 6 new pillows--4 down and 2 hypo-allergenic; designer down comforters; and, new fixtures in the downstairs bath. We also have some new deck furniture. But, most importantly: we finally have hooked up the propane heater! And, what a difference it makes. Having gas heat in the bedroom/main bath area keeps you more toasty than most of the cabins do which tend to have electric heaters here in PMC. And, upstairs, the wood stove keeps you as warm as you'd like! We've just had the carpets and the upholstered chair/ottoman professionally cleaned. We've also added a fire pit to the upstairs deck. This 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a twin, the other with a full-sized log bed and a twin); a fold-out bed; a large fold-out sleeping pad; one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout and has hardwood floors up and downstairs; and filled with authentic vintage mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in pure solitude and privacy and enjoy the tranquil scenery. And, if you simply can't leave all of civilization behind, the cabin comes equipped with free high-speed, broadband wireless Internet access (Wifi). Be sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property. The clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, an outdoor pool (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Our guests receive use of four free guest passes for their entire stay. Mount Abel (Cerro Noroeste) and Mount Pinos (over 8000 feet) are nearby. Pine Mountain Club also offers a number of festivals throughout the year. The cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. You will not be disappointed. Guest AccessGuests will have 4 free passes to the clubhouse. The NeighborhoodIt is quiet, safe, private, and so very peaceful. Getting AroundThere is no public transit, but you don't need it. We're walking distance to the village. Other Things to Note1.) There are restrictions to our one-night minimum stay. Please ask! 2.) Also, as the site states, we have beds for 7 people; that acknowledges that the queen bed and the double bed both sleep 2. 3.) Early check-in or late check-out requires a $25 fee.

The SpaceLog Haven is nestled in tall ancient pine trees overlooking a greenbelt with the golf course on the other side and a view of the lower lake. From the covered front porch overlooks a meadow and wooded pine forest with mountain vistas. This unique cabin is cozy yet spacious as it is a two story 2,200 square feet log home. Our cabin is a perfect size for two to three couples or a family of six. We have a roll away bed and one single air mattress for the seventh and eighth guests. There is no extra charge for children under 5 years old. With a nice size kitchen, fully stocked for gourmet cooking, it expands into a large dining room with windows that overlook the lower lake. Speaking of kitchen, Joe loves to cook and encourages all who visit Log Haven to make sumptuous meals in the kitchen while guests can sit on stools at a counter visiting the chef. Joe leaves all his spices and herbs in the cabinet and cookbooks on the shelf. In the living room with a fireplace, you can plug your smart phones or iPod into the stereo and have your favorite music dancing through the cabin. With wireless internet, listen to Pandora for a variety of music. A large flat screen TV is hooked up to a DVD player and surround sound stereo so you can view a movie from the DVD collection. We don't have cable TV as we feel that if you come to the mountains, you would want to escape the noise of the tube! However, if you really want to watch a football game over Thanksgiving or a golf tournament you can view it at the Clubhouse lounge that is within walking distance. Many of our guests tell us that they started their novel at Log Haven, finished a screen play, or started writing poetry! The logs of the cabin will fill you with inspiration. For musicians, we have a piano to play in the living room. Log Haven is a family friendly home. We have games in the drawer under the stereo, children's videos, and books in the library in one of the guest bedrooms upstairs. When little children walk through the door, you see their faces light up with amazement seeing a home that looks like "Lincoln Logs!" Located only 70 miles from Los Angeles, Pine Mountain Club has been called "the nearby far away place." It's the perfect get away for anyone in need of some time away from their hectic schedule in the city. In order to book a rental of our cabin you must have a proper profile on airbnb with a photo ID and be verified. For info on how to do that, go to this link: https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/450 Guest AccessLog Haven has been featured in the TV show, "Unsolved Mysteries" and a commercial that airs on the east coast for Deer Park Water. The SpaceCozy modern mountain cabin in the Los Padres National Forest just 45 minutes from Bakersfield and 75 minutes from the San Fernando Valley. Pine Mountain is one of Southern California's best-kept secrets--a small alpine village with a four-season climate. We have light snow in the Winter, spectacular wildflowers in Spring, and gorgeous Fall colors. It's a wonderful getaway—and yet so close! Our two-story home is located on a quiet street at 5771 feet. Lovely pine ceilings throughout the cabin contribute to the warm ambience. The 1000 sq. ft. interior is furnished in a modern style with a leather sofa and some cool abstract art on the walls. The living room has a wood stove and 50" HDTV with direct satellite & Blu Ray DVD. A skylight in the living room brings in lots of light. The master bedroom (queen bed) is separate from the downstairs and reached via a spiral staircase leading up to French doors. The master bathroom adjoins the bedroom and has a skylight over the double length tiled shower. A second bedroom downstairs has a day bed with trundle. Upper and lower decks offer lovely views of Mt. Pinos and the San Emigdio range. Relax on the sunny decks or in the Adirondack chair near the pond surrounded by pine trees. Plan to do some bbqing--it is so pleasant to do some grilling on the upper deck bbq and dine outdoors. Our cabin is VERY clean and well-kept. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people. PLEASE no smoking or pets! Mt. Pinos has the best view of the stars in So. California—star parties are common whenever there is a new moon. In addition, since we are in the Padres National Forest - wildlife (deer, raccoons, bobcat, fox, bunnies, squirrels, quail, stellar and scrub jays) abounds. Rare California Condor preserve located on Cerro Noroeste Road (main road through town) approximately 15 miles west. We have an extraordinary number of sunny days—it is rare to have a gloomy day. Since SNOW may be present during cooler months be sure to carry chains. Our roads are well-maintained but the CHP is strict about safety when snow is possible. Sledding awaits at Mt. Pino's ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)') just 15-20 minutes away, GREAT for cross-country skiing and snow-play destination! The local Village Commercial Center is 2 miles away and offers access to a market, gift shops, several restaurants, ice cream store, laundromat and a spa. There are lots of hiking trails nearby as well as a fishing pond! Mount Abel and Mt. Pinos are nearby offering cross country skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. Fishing is available at Fern's Lake which is just a mile away. Horseback riding is available in the summer. Or simply relax on the deck and enjoy the fresh mountain air-- you won't want to leave! It is very peaceful to spend a few days here-- and also comfortable. We LOVE being here with time to read, hike, relax.....did I mention slowing down and enjoying life? BREATHE! Cozy modern mountain cabin in the Los Padres National Forest just 45 minutes from Bakersfield and 75 minutes from the San Fernando Valley. Our cabin is clean and well-kept. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people. PLEASE no smoking or pets! Four guest passes to club facilities are provided (e.g. tennis courts, golf course, pool, club lounge, cafe, game room). Wireless INTERNET accessible throughout the cabin so bring your laptop! We also provide an Ethernet cable, if needed. Pino's (8300' - 8800') just 15-20 minutes away, GREAT for cross-country skiing and snow-play destination! The local Village Commercial Center is 2 miles away and offers access to a market, gift shops, several restaurants, ice cream store, laundromat and a spa. There are lots of hiking trails nearby as well as a fishing pond!

It is relatively simple to determine when guests have pets on premise. Unfortunately 100% of bookings with pets have resulted in property damage. For this reason, we no longer allow pets on the property and part or all of the security deposit may be withheld if violated. THE VICINITY Within a short drive you will find antiquing, off-road recreation, or Lake Pyramid for kayaking or just enjoying a day at the lake-beach. Surprisingly there is always the right amount of things to do (or not do) for any stay! Your real log cabin with mountain styling and hectares of national forest to wander and discover is waiting. Come find out why Pine Mountain Club is affectionately dubbed the "nearby faraway place". Guest Access Key access information is provided to guests once a booking is confirmed and is found in their reservation information on airbnb. You can check in anytime on the day you arrive and leave anytime on the day of departure. There is good cell phone service through Verizon in throughout Pine Mountain Club. However, if you do not have Verizon, please be aware that you may not have coverage. There is room to park seven cars on the property. Interaction with Guests Unless you have requested event coordination, you will have full unaccompanied access to the cabin during your stay. Depending on the party, the host may elect to send a housekeeper to check on the facility at any point during your stay. However, this is not a dedicated service. Should you have any unexpected needs, we will reply promptly to any emails, texts, or calls. Located in Pine Mountain Club CA, this newly refurbished three bedroom, one and a half bath home provides an ideal retreat from the relentless pace of the big city. Chris' Cabin sleeps up to 8 people. Only a little over an hour north of LA, people find it hard to believe that they're even in Southern California. We're located at 5,600 feet, on the forested slopes of 8,831 foot tall Mt. Pinos, where all four seasons make themselves known, one after the other. We're located walking close to the quaint PMC village center, which offers many conveniences, from restaurants and shops, to a grocery store and video rentals, to name a few. At the same time, our home has a secluded feel, being at the end of a 150' gravel driveway, with a "green belt" on three sides. Nestled in a grove of amazing 60' tall oak trees, it's easy to lose track of time gazing out the huge sliding glass door at 7,492 foot San Emigdio Mountain, or sitting on the spacious deck, listening to the streams that flow into the meadow below us. It's common to see deer grazing just below the deck. Built in 1971, this 1,000+ sq. ft. cabin is kind of a time capsule of that era, with its shag carpets, beautiful pine paneling and very 70's color scheme. Don't let that fool you though; with broadband wireless internet, 42" plasma high-definition cable TV and free local and (domestic) long distance phone calls, we are fully up to date with 21st Century technology. This area is most popular for its proximity to Mt. Pinos (you can drive almost to the top) and the Winter sports (cross-country skiing, sledding and inner-tubing) associated with it, but many love it up here in the warm months as well, when it's 20 degrees cooler than sweltering LA, and there's always a breeze. There's great hiking up here, and bicycling too, both on and off-road. There's also a 9-hole golf course at the PMC clubhouse, and a swimming pool, so bring your bathing suit! In addition, we offer horseback riding, fishing, tennis and even basketball. There is boating and waterskiing at Pyramid Lake, which is about a half hour down the road. We're 40 minutes from Magic Mountain. A lot of folks simply come up here, whatever the season, to chill out and enjoy each others' company. Next time you've got a week-end or more where you'd like to get away to a home away from home in the beautiful, peaceful mountains, we'd love to hear from you! Here is a list of some of the amenities we offer: Brand new Whirlpool Refrigerator, Stove and Microwave Fully equipped and organized kitchen Wood burning brick fireplace Spacious deck with spectacular views Green belt on 3 sides Scenic 15 minute walk from PMC village center 42” Plasma HDTV with 5.1 surround sound DirecTV satellite TV Free Broadband internet for your laptop Local phone calls. The Lodge at Pine Mountain is an unparalleled property in an unparalleled location; top-quality new construction with soaring ceilings to match the soaring panoramas, and showcasing the very best Pine Mountain Club has to offer. This talk-of-the-town 5 bedroom, 3 bath breathtaking vacation home is available for rent for the first time ever, offering discriminating vacationers luxury, privacy and convenience. The Lodge is close to town yet secluded – backing to an HOA common area with elaborate walks, wildlife, and spring-fed waterways. Its one-of-a-kind promontory overlooks the valley vista, from the intimate deer pond to the towering mountains. The house is a literal stone's throw from town for shopping, restaurants, entertainment, groceries, golf, tennis, horseback, swimming, and clubhouse convenience (plus first priority snow removal), yet set apart on a paved and granite-bouldered circular drive with snow, large trees, and 360 degree views of Pine Mountain's beautiful surroundings including both Mt. Pinos and Mt. Abel. Consider the combination: snow and trees and views and privacy and town and valley – anywhere else you'd have to compromise on several (or even most) of those features – but in this singular location no compromise is required. Whether it's to the gazebo for a Shakespearean play, to the Greens for a round of golf and free concert, or into the forest for a stroll along a mountain stream, everything is just footsteps from your door.Situated on land previously owned by Hollywood actor Dom DeLuise, the Lodge at Pine Mountain is a one-of-a-kind gem, whether you're entertaining several families or enjoying an intimate weekend with your own.More photos and info can be seen at our website...email us for the link. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ALLOWED, INCLUDING OUTDOORS This home is only rented for 14 days (max) out of the entire year, so get your requests in early...it's a very rare treat!
