The SpaceLocated on Runaway Hill, Bella Green is a compound on 9.75 acres in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, where weather temperatures average between 60-85 degrees. Here you'll find an eclectic compound of independent buildings: the Bella Green Guest house with two bedrooms with private bathrooms and its wonderful a shared screen porch area, the Vista ESCAPE tiny house with 270 degree windows and maximum privacy, has its own private parking area and outside sitting area. Guests who stay at the Guest House are invited to enjoy the outdoor fire pit area with two comfy lounge chairs and two upright chairs w/footstools (that bounce/rock), the screen-porch area with love seat on one side and a rocking chair plus bench on the other side (shared by guests and a part of the guest house rental) . There is also an outside raised deck area overlooking the view with two more lounge chairs and our al fresco breakfast table. The Resource Center is home to the spa break room which holds our full body vibration "shake" exercise machine, Keurig coffee bar and mini health library, as well as a private massage room. Inclement weather does occasionally happen (just a few days out of the year) and in this case, we are happy to open the art studio/exercise studio as an alternative space to relax in. Also in this case, breakfast may be served either inside your guests' home or at the table in the screen porch area rather than al fresco on the porch. Guests in our Vista ESCAPE tiny house have the option to dine outdoors a l fresco or when cold or rainy, you can dine inside at your host's dining room table. There are plenty of hilly neighborhood streets to walk, and/or yoga mats that you are welcome to borrow and use on the open outdoor deck. The art studio/exercise room has a rowing machine, ballet bar, and some hand weights, should you request to use them (no extra fee). ~ Choosing to be eco-sensitive, we use only Comphey (TM) sheets in both the spa and guest bedrooms, organic bamboo mattress pads, on-demand hot water heaters, bamboo flooring in guesthouse, low-E windows (many with screens to allow a cross breeze, ceiling fans (in the screened porch and in each bedroom in the guesthouse), and independent self-adjusting AC/heaters. ~ In the screened porch area, there is a mini-fridge, a coffee/tea bar (but bring your own blend if you'd like!). Fresh filtered water that has been pH balanced and milk (or mylk) for coffee are available upon request. ~ Our guests tell us the guesthouse rooms feel very European - not too large, tastefully decorated with warm colors, and with queen size beds that sleep very, very well. Everyone appreciates the ability to fully adjust the room temperature to his or her liking and as we know it's sometimes difficult to be out of touch, so we have free wifi anywhere on the property. ~ The large screen porch area on the front of the guesthouse overlooks the view and runs the length of the building, so one can cuddle up on the loveseat, look out at the views from the rocking chair, or enjoy the wifi from the extra-long (four person) desk area that overlooks the view. ~ All guests have access to the outside fire pit area under the trees (with plenty of firewood), and any of the decks on the property and just outside our front gate is a "Little Free Library" box where you can take any book if you like! ~ OPTIONAL SPA SERVICES: Massages and Infra-red sauna are by appointment only. The cedar infrared sauna ($35 for single/$45 for 2 guests) is a great way to relax or detox, especially in the winter months. It comes with a self-serve aromatherapy scrub for after the sweat. Subsequent sessions during your stay are $10 each (or $15 for 2 guests). Your host Karen has been a licensed massage therapist for over twenty years. Please arrange in advance, as massages are available on a limited basis. The cost is $70/hour. Guest AccessIn addition to your room, Guests have access to the outside fire pit area under the trees (with plenty of firewood), the deck on the house under the trees where breakfast is served al fresco (weather permitting), as well as a open deck where you are welcome to stretch, yoga or sit and journal.... ~ The library area with cozy sitting area for guests, contains a full body "shake" exercise machine, mini-wellness library, and an infra-red sauna. Massages and use of the sauna are by appointment only. ~ The cedar infrared sauna ($35 for single/$45 for 2 guests) is a great way to relax or detox, and it comes with a self-serve aromatherapy scrub for after the sweat. Subsequent sessions during your stay are $10 each (or $15 with scrub). Your host Karen has been a licensed massage therapist for over twenty years. Please arrange in advance, as massages are available on a limited basis. The cost is $70/hour. ~ Just outside our front gate is a "Little Free Library" box where you can take a book if you like. Interaction with GuestsAs hosts, we try to be available to greet guests and provide a brief property tour, When invited, may join you in a glass of tea or wine at sunset, or chat over coffee in the mornings to learn more about you and your hill country adventures. Otherwise, we make it our business to give you space to enjoy your special quiet time here as you like... NOTE: We live on the property in a separate building should you need us for anything. The NeighborhoodLovely acreaged neighborhood feels like you are on vacation. Pipe Creek is very quiet town, with little in the way of a downtown area....yet we do have a lovely a farm-to-table restaurant (tucked behind an antique store) for those looking for good food that is close. Many Guests like to venture out to our "sister" cities of Boerne, Bandera and Helotes, TX are just another 10-15 minutes further away. These areas offer interesting and diverse downtown dining, shopping and park/recreational areas to explore at your leisure! Boerne is very pristine and is home to our FAVORITE dining spots and an awesome wine bar. They also have unique boutique shops and beautiful art galleries to explore. Bandera is bit more casual, more "cowboy", has live country music, the opportunity for dancing (most days) and of course, horseback-riding and/or hill hiking. It is considered "Cowboy Capital of the World" and has a fun river to float too (weather pending). Helotes has one of our favorite honky-tonks...and cool market days and some nice bicycle riding trails. All three cities are very fun to explore! Take a day at each and you'll understand why we think our location is perfect for a hill country getaway! Getting AroundYou'll want to your own transportation. We are a small community in the hills and therefore, no public transportation is available. Other Things to NoteTake time to explore our sister cities, the greater hill country area, or simply stay put and make it a STAY-cation as a writer's retreat, silent personal retreat (with or without spa added) or to get familiar with the concept of living tiny if you think you might want to do that. We feel it is very healthy to stay "tucked in," enjoying the spa services, the hills, the natural beauty, the peace and quiet, and of course, our often spectacular daily sunsets! Our special artisan "al fresco" (outdoors on the patio) breakfasts are included in the price. Check in is anytime after 3:00 pm, and we encourage you to get here before sunset as they are often spectacular! Check out time is Noon for all guests. We are happy to send a map for navigating our hill if you'd like, but auto or phone GPS generally does a fine job. If it suggests you drive down Bump Gate Road, CALL US. That route no longer works to get here. For those wanting total guesthouse privacy (not wanting to share the guesthouse and its screen porch and outside firepit area with another guest), we are happy to accommodate when we can for an additional $75 per night (instead of the regular second room cost of $135). If you are interested in this option, please request it with your reservation.

The SpaceLocated on Runaway Hill, Bella Green is a compound on 9.75 acres in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, where weather temperatures average between 60-85 degrees. Here you'll find an eclectic compound of independent buildings: the Bella Green Guest house, the spa room-library-exercise area-art studio, the soon-to-be added tiny houses and your host's eco-friendly main home. Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor fire pit area with two comfy lounge chairs and two upright chairs w/footstools (that bounce/rock), the large screen-porch area with love seat on one side and a rocking chair plus bench on the other side (shared by guests and a part of the guest house rental) an outside raised deck overlooking the view with two more lounge chairs and breakfast table, and the independent library/spa area with free "shake" exercise machine, Keurig coffee bar and mini health library. Inclement weather does occasionally happen (just a few days out of the year) and we are happy to open the art studio/exercise studio as an alternative space to relax and in this case, we serve breakfast inside our home rather than al fresco on the porch. Also there are plenty of street hills to walk, a "secret path" on the property to explore, and yoga mats that you are welcome to borrow and use on either of the outdoor decks. The art room has a rowing machine, ballet bar, and some hand weights, should you request to use them (no extra fee). Guest Access~ Choosing to be eco-sensitive, we use only Comphey (TM) sheets in both the Spa and guest bedrooms, organic bamboo mattress pads, on-demand hot water heaters, bamboo flooring in guesthouse, low-E windows (with screens to allow a cross breeze if desired), ceiling fans (in the screened porch and each room), and independent self-adjusting AC/heaters. ~ In the screened porch area, there is a mini-fridge, a coffee/tea bar with assorted coffees (but bring your own blend if you'd like!). Fresh filtered water that has been pH balanced and milk (or mylk) for coffee are available upon request. ~ Our guests tell us the rooms feel very European - not too large, tastefully decorated with warm colors, and with queen size beds that sleep very, very well. ~ Guests also have access to the outside fire pit area under the trees (with plenty of firewood), the deck on the house under the trees where breakfast is served al fresco (weather permitting), as well as a second deck. Interaction with GuestsAs hosts, we try to be available to greet guests upon arrival, provide a brief property tour, share the book we've created about restaurants and what is fun to do locally, and answer whatever questions you may have. We then leave you alone to enjoy your special time together. We enjoy getting know our guests and may sit with you in the mornings at breakfast time (when invited) or join you in a glass of tea or wine at sunset on the deck if asked. Otherwise, we will leave you to your time together. We live on the property in a separate building attached to the guesthouse only by a deck should you need us. The NeighborhoodWe are a 16 minutes drive from Boerne, Bandera and Helotes, Texas (a trifecta of fun towns to visit!) Boerne is known for their quaint shops, cute river walk (with friendly ducks), casual and fine dining options, antique stores, art galleries, wine shops and more! Bandera is the "Cowboy Capital of the World" and here you can find casual cowboy/cowgirl fun including live music & Country Western dancing! Helotes is home to the historical music venue: John T. Floores Country and just down the street from Gray Moss Inn (considered the most romantic restaurant in San Antonio). Getting AroundYou will want a car or motorcycle to explore. There are many scenic routes to choose from should you want to explore the hills. Horesback riding and cave exploration are also fun activities not too far away... Other Things to NoteTake time to explore our sister cities, the greater hill country area, or simply stay put and make it a STAY-cation as a writer's retreat, silent personal retreat (with or without spa added) or to get familiar with the concept of living tiny, if you think you might want to do that. We feel it is very healthy to stay "tucked in", enjoying the spa services, the hills, the natural beauty, the peace and quiet, and of course, daily sunsets! If you ask in advance, we may be able pick up a tasty dinner meal for you from one of our local restaurants (guest is responsible for the cost of the meal plus a 20% re-plating/service fee for picking it up). But PLEASE request this prior to the time of your reservation if you want this as we frequently are available to do this, but not always.... Those staying three days or more, you may choose to add in an evening dinner plan option for $12 per day - which includes and evening dinner entree of your choice (options to be sent upon request) plus daily dessert and/or our a simple lunch option (PBJ, grilled cheese, hummus, avocado, egg or chicken salad sandwich with raw fruit or veggies) for $6 per day. Artisan "al fresco' (outdoors on the patio) breakfasts are included in the price of our guest house stays. Tiny house guest stays come with a simpler (yet equally tasty and home-made) continental breakfast. If tiny house guests would prefer the al fresco option, we are happy to do this for an extra $10 pp and advance request is required please. Check in is anytime after 3:00 pm and we encourage you to get here before sunset (as that is an event in and of itself!) Check out time is Noon for the guesthouse and 11am for the Tiny Houses. Please note that if your GPS routes you to Bella Green via a road called Bailey Circle, this is perfectly fine...keep going! If it tries to route you via Bump Gate road, do not take that route!!! The road that used to link to our property in this direction is no longer open. We are happy to send a map for navigating our hill if you'd like that, but usually GPS does a fine job. Some people have requested TOTAL guesthouse privacy (not wanting to share the screen porch area). We are happy to accommodate when we can, for an extra $75. If you are interested in this option, please request this with your initial reservation.

The SpaceSPECTACULAR, BREATH-TAKING, AMAZING! These are all words used to describe the panoramic Texas Hill Country views you will see from your 2 modern Hill Country cabins on 55 private acres just outside of Center Point, Texas. We have been renting properties on VRBO for 4 years, but this property trumps them all, in terms of uniqueness and serenity. Stoney Ranch is truly spectacular! Let’s start with the views. As you enter ‘Stoney Ranch’, you will pass through your own private, automatic gate and will drive to your 2 cabins on 55 private acres. Once you arrive at the cabins, prepare for your breath to be taken away when you see the miles of panoramic Hill Country views. There are NO better views of the Texas Hill Country. They are simply amazing (the pictures here do not do them justice). The best time of the day is sunset: sip on a cocktail, watch the deer graze at the deer feeder, and watch the most spectacular sunsets you’ve ever seen. Guest AccessThere are 2 cabins built with a Hill Country flair, but loaded with the modern amenities you would expect from fabulous vacation rentals. First, the lower cabin. The lower cabin consists of the master suite (with king size bed, flat screen TV, newly renovated en-suite with spectacular tile shower, and large walk-in closet), the kitchen (with granite countertops, tile backsplash, gas range, garbage disposal, reverse osmosis, and all standard appliances), and the living area (with sleeper sofa, multiple sitting areas, 50” flat screen TV, DVD player, bar w/ bar stools, and fireplace). The lower cabin features a wrap-around porch with rocking chairs, multiple seating areas, hummingbird and bird feeders, and everyone’s favorite a HOT TUB! There is nothing more spectacular than soaking in a hot tub, watching wildlife, and enjoying the views. Now, to the upper cabin. The upper cabin consists of a living area (with bunk bed, sleeper sofa, sitting area, and flat screen TV), a bedroom (with 2 bunk beds and a sitting area), refrigerator, a laundry room (with washer and dryer), and a full bathroom. The upper cabin also sports a wrap-around porch and has an awesome outdoor living area as well. Both cabins have DVD players and the upper cabin has board games, cards, chess, checkers and more! It's a perfect set up - when the adults are ready to relax and unwind for the evening, they can enjoy the amenities of the lower cabin and send the kids up to the upper cabin, and they will be entertained for hours (just a few steps away)! The cabins literally sit on a mountain, and you will be captivated by endless views, and options for hiking and exploring. There's a trail that leads to the top of the hill with an amazing lookout point, as well as hiking in flatter areas with lower lookout points for those less intrigued by hiking. This is a perfect destination for authors, musicians and artists, as well. We have already had requests from authors in the area who are looking for the perfect retreat for writing. If you're seeking serenity, you've found it. Total bed sleeping capacity: 12 Lower Cabin Master: King-size bed(2) Lower Cabin Living Room: Sleeper sofa (2) Upper Cabin Living Area: Bunk Bed (2) & Sleeper Sofa (2) Upper Cabin Bedroom: 2 sets of Bunk Beds (4) 3-5 night minimum (5 for holidays) Interaction with GuestsWe are available for anything our guests need, but you will have private access to our property (we will not be staying at the property) The NeighborhoodStoney Ranch is located just 7 miles from downtown Centerpoint, which true to its name, is located in the center of the MOST popular Hill Country destinations: Kerrville: 9 miles Bandera: 15 miles Comfort: 8 miles Boerne: 21 miles Fredericksburg: 28 miles San Antonio: 48 miles Bandera is the ‘Cowboy Capital of the World’, so spend a day there riding horses and honing your Cowboy skills. Comfort is known as the ‘Antique Capital of the World’, as travelers come from all over the world to wander through the antique shops and sip on wine at the local wineries. Kerrville is a Hill Country gem nestled on the Guadalupe River with big-city amenities and a small town feel. Boerne and Fredericksburg are 2 of the most-visited destinations in the Texas Hill Country, and one big reason is because Texas has the fastest growing wine country in the US, with more than 60 wineries located within 30 minutes of Stoney Ranch. Finally, if all of these Hill Country towns don’t keep you busy enough, make the short drive to San Antonio (River Walk, Alamo, Six Flags, Sea World, world-class shopping, parks, and tons more).
