As a young woman traveling alone feeling safe was an important factor for me when traveling here. Kite Buen Hombre is a great spot a couple hours from Cabarete for kiteboarding lessons. Epic conditions. ” Reviewed August 5, 2015 via mobile If you're looking for a kite beach off the beaten path from the over crowded Cabarete then Kite Buen Hombre is your place. Wonderful outdoor rustic bungalows, hammocks, and wood fire cooking surrounded by salsa music pumping and fresh fish frying. Kite Buen hombre is beautiful with incredible winds, flat waters, rolling kickers on the reef, and sunset on the waves. One of a kind experience. Visited July 2015 “A Hidden Gem, One of the Most Beautiful Spaces In Dominican Republic!” Reviewed 4 weeks ago I travelled through every major region of Dominican Republic on my recent trip and returned 3 times to Riin and Miky's Kite School! It is a great space with really good energy. When you arrive, you drive through the beautiful mountians and there is a spectacular view of the water as well. The town is small and friendly and has amazing and affordable seafood for when you are looking for a bite between the communal meals. The Kite School itself is a small paradise. The cabana homes are rustic yet very well built and comfortable. The outdoor showers are divine. The entire staff is friendly and helpful and they are lots of fun to spend time with between surfing. Communal dinners are a great perk to this space, a great opportunity to try some tasty homemade meals and have great conversations with people from around the world. I will likely come back to this space many times again! Highty recommended! Visited March 2016

The SpaceWe have just moved in to a new house and are just starting to get set up, so the place is still very basic. I have put up the hole huse with 4 beds and 2 bedrooms in the listing, mainly it is just the 1 bedroom with singel beds for rent, we live in the other, but if you are a bigger group we can make the master bedroom available for that occasion. Contact me for arrangements. We are both very happy and exited to share our new home to openminded travellers. But, I need to point out, the house does not have the western standards of living. The village doesn't have water in pipelines, so all water is stored in cisterns and need to be brought in by hand for "shower "/toilet flushing/ and general washing. There is an open gap between the wall and the ceiling, so bugs find their way in. (But mosquito nets are provided ;) - if you are up for a real Dominican experience, let us know and we will gladly take you in! Cheers, Miguel and Anne Cecilie Guest AccessKitchen with place for cooking and fridge available for guests. Living room and bathroom. Interaction with GuestsWe are both kitesurfers, and will gladly show you around the place if we have the time, I am also working from home so my time can be limited some days.
