The SpacePrior to sending a booking request, please complete 4 AirBnB verifications, the bio/profile with city and state, and at least one photo of just you on your profile and confirm that you are a non-smoker. Thanks!
Steep driveway and lots of stairs but once you arrive you will find high ceilings, a modest view of the hills, large open living spaces, a gas fireplace and large screen TV. But, please note, this is a well-loved and used, older, family home that has not been renovated or upgraded.
Master bedroom, ideal for one or two people or a family if you combine with our other listing, "Downtown Pleasanton - room with full bed, extra long". Room includes California King bed, one small bathroom closet, large table, and MINI-FRIG...but not the bedroom closet. Guest AccessWe are a family of five, but you are welcome to share in the common areas of the house with us. If you would like to use the kitchen during your stay, if possible, please let me know in advance. It's a much used, older kitchen and I like to give it extra cleaning for guest use. There are downstairs laundry facilities and supplies available. You can do laundry yourself or when I'm available, I'm happy to take care of your laundry for you. Backyard is somewhat unkempt but there are comfortable chairs and tables if you would like to hang out there. Interaction with GuestsWe love to chat and learn about our guest but are also very happy to respect your privacy and space. The NeighborhoodWe are a easy 1/2 mile walk to downtown Pleasanton's Main Street which has a large selection of restaurants, shops, our Firehouse Arts Center, a wine bar, Starbucks and their new "evening alcohol and light bites menu", and our favorite dairy, famous for it's soft serve ice-cream.
There is also a year-round Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings and frequently an assortment of downtown fairs throughout the year. In the summer you can also enjoy the "First Wednesday of the Month" downtown street fairs and free "Friday Night Concerts in the Park" in the nearby park.
The very popular San Francisco outlets are about 15 miles away. Getting AroundAccessible to transportation BART (10 min. drive), Bus (5 min. walk), ACE Train (10+ min. walk), & (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Pleasanton BART stations with service from both San Francisco and Oakland airports to Pleasanton. Many guests use Uber for transportation from BART to our home and depending on my schedule, I may even be available to provide transportation in my 15 year old minivan. Other Things to NoteMy sons and I will be gone frequently over the summer. Happy to have you visit with our two large cats while we are gone.
