The MT-060, also known as the Transpantaneira highway connects the city of Poconé to the town of Porto Jofre, on the edge of the Cuiabá River, on the border of the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul.
The highway was built to cross the Pantanal. In the original plan, the highway should exit Poconé, Mato Grosso, and reach the city of Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul, bordering Bolivia.
