The SpaceThis beautiful and incredible land has been created and managed as a full Permaculture organic garden and self-sufficiency lifestyle. Permaculture is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive systems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. It is the harmonious integration of the landscape with the people which provides their food, energy, shelter and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way. Permaculture integrates people into Nature's design.
We live on half an acre of luscious soil with our very own stream which runs year round. We aim to grow as much of our own food as possible. We have fruit and nut trees: peach, apple, plum, grape, hazelnut, walnut, avocado, lemon, macadamia, feijoa, fig, kiwifruit, mandarin, orange, pear, tamarillo....We have our own chickens for fresh eggs and we make our own organic sourdough bread from local NZ whole grains. We have our own beehives that pollinate the fruit and nut trees and provide us with the most delicious honey! As fruit is in season, you can pick your own straight from the tree for the BEST-tasting, freshest fruit you have ever had. You can nibble your way through the gardens and enjoy a meditation sit in the herb garden circle taking in the multitude of smells and sounds. Breakfast will be created from fresh homegrown eggs & greens from the garden with sourdough bread OR fresh fruit and nuts with homemade yogurt/kefir or muesli, plus whatever is in season on the land.
The Lotus Belle tent ((URL HIDDEN) is a professionally designed and manufactured 5 meter diameter canvas tent.
